“Come To Me!”


Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

Everybody gets tired and weary. We all have our burdens to carry. Often instead of going to the true source of peace and rest we choose worldly solutions.

We can find perfect peace in God. We can also rest in Him. It is okay to rest our bodies and minds when we are overextended. When we have rested we can start again, but with a refreshed body and mind.

9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

I have been seeing on Facebook and getting emails saying believe in yourself. That you have everything you need to make it, inside you. Unless you are a Christian and the Holy Spirit lives in you, you cannot trust your heart to guide you.

The Bible warns us that our hearts can deceive us and be desperately wicked. Our hearts can lead us into sin. Another popular believe is that my choice must be right because I am at peace about my decision. If you commit sin long enough, your conscious will become seared and you will no longer be bothered by your conscious.

Our guide must be God’s Holy Word over all things. Paul warned us that even if an angel tells us something different than God’s Word not to listen to the angel. It is a lie that God has changed His mind about sin. Believe in God and His Holy Word and you will not be led astray.

Happy Friday,

Often I look at a blank page and wonder where I should start. I pray for God to guide me in what to say and He does. Truth is we there are times when we are in situations where we have no clue how to navigate our way out.

The first step is to call on God and not after we have strumbled over everything and made a bigger mess, God wants to be our first call and not our last.

Seeking God’s help is not weakness, in fact it takes strength to admit that we need help. God made us to walk with Him. We were made to worship and praise God. Sadly the majority of mankind has chosen to walk in their own ways and their own truth.

If we do not seek the guidance of God, the devil will gladly guide us straight into sin. You might say I know a lot of atheists who are good moral people and I would agree with you. Yet they have committed the sin that got satan kicked out of Heaven-the sin of pride. Pride often keeps people from admitting that everyone was born into sin and that everyone needs a Savior.

Jesus left Heaven to live as a man and die for our sins. All we have to do is lay aside our pride and admit that we need a Savior and seek salvation through Jesus.

A Blessing Or A Curse

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in good health, just as your soul prospers – 3 John 2 ( NKJV ). But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you – Matthew 6:33 (NKJV). God has no problem prospering His children; all He wants is for their souls to prosper.”

God wants us to prosper in all things the same way our soul prospers. To some that is a great blessing, but to some, it is a curse. We can become more concerned about looks than we are about the health of our souls. We can be guilty of feeding our bodies and starving our souls.

When we pass away our bodies will not go with us. What wealth we have will not go with us. Do we want to enter Heaven with a weak underfed soul? May the Lord help us to focus more on the needs of our souls.

God Wants To Join Him In Heaven

Daily Prayer for March 5

Lord our God, we come to you as a little flock, asking you to accept us and keep us as your own, whom you will redeem in your time. Protect us always so that we remain strong in faith. Strengthen us in the faith that you are with us, helping us. Grant that your people may come to the light, to the honor of your name. So we entrust ourselves to your hands this night. Be with us, Lord our God, through your Spirit. Amen”


As much as we want to go to Heaven, God also wants us to be in Heaven with Him. He sent His Son to die for us so that we could be reconciled with Himself and spend eternity with Him.

We serve God because we love Him and not out of fear. The more we love God the more we want to serve Him to the best of our ability. As young children, we worked hard in School to please our parents. How much more should strive to please the God who created us, died for us, and created a home for us in Heaven!

We will rejoice and be glad in it.

If we are honest, we do not rejoice in every day. If we work we dread Mondays. When we get old we dread having to leave the house for medical appointments and even for shopping.

Yet when we look at the big picture, every day is a day that we can work for God and praise Him. When we look at days like that we can rejoice that we have another day to give ourselves to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Every day we can pray for lost souls. Let us try to greet each day with gladness and praise God for another day that we can strive to please God.
We can be glad in each day and still look forward to the rapture at the same time.

Mixing Lies With A Little Truth

False Preachers and Teachers often snare people by mixing a little truth with lies. When Adam and Eve were in the garden, she snared herself by adding a lie to what God said.

Genesis 2:15-17
New King James Version
15 Then the Lord God took [a]the man and put him in the garden of Eden to [b]tend and keep it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you[c] shall surely die.”

Now, look at what Eve said that God said.

The Temptation and Fall of Man
3 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”
2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ”

Chances are Eve added the no-touching part to make herself more of the victim. Implying that God was so mean that he put a pretty fruit tree in the garden and forbid them, from touching it.

In today’s world false teachers and preachers insert a little truth into the false teaching to deceive the vulnerable.

Galatians 5:9

9 “A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough.”

A little false teaching spoils the whole teaching. In America and other western Countries, we have no excuse. We have Bibles to verify what we are taught. If the teaching is different than the Bible it is a lie.

It is important as children of God that we always test what we hear against the Bible. We do not want to be led astray. When Churches start exusing sin, we need to leave that Church. We need to be in a God-fearing Church where the truth of the Gospel is preached.

We are too near the end to be playing with sin. God requires us to live in Holiness and Righteousness. We serve God out of a heart of love and because we love God, we should seek to please God in all of our ways.

Being Refined

In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,  for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.” 
(1 Peter 1:6-9, NIV)

This life is all about being refined for our eternity in Heaven. We can choose to live for self or we can surrender ourselves to God and live for Him. It is easy to say that we are all out for God, but are we really?

Do we only call on God when we are in a crisis? It is so easy to be caught up in day today living that we put God on the back burner. God wants to be at the center of our life. When we make decisions based on our love for God, the results will be better.

When we begin our day in prayer and end the day in prayer, we will find ourselves less conflicted. When we choose to allow God to influence us on a daily bases we will find ourselves more contented. Let us seek to put God first and to worship Him in our thoughts and deeds.

Surrender to God, Instead!

There are times that I surrender to my, fear. There are times I allow my doubts control me. Then I hear a voice whisper:” child, I have never left your side. Stop looking at your circumstances and look to, me instead.”

My friends, we often suffer because we forget that God is with us and He will never abandon us. When we keep our eyes on Jesus we will know without a doubt that victory is ahead.

When we put our complete trust in God, we can live in victory, rejoicing in the love of God here on earth and in our future in Heaven. We can change our fears in doubts into complete trust in our Heavenly Father.

Pray Daily, To Our God

“For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building.”
1 Corinthians 3:

Christians, we belong to the God of Heaven. He is our Heavenly Father. Do we honor Him with daily prayer? Do we daily offer up praises to our God? Let us not become so consumed with this life that we push God aside.

We should begin and end each day in prayer to our God. We should be grateful for every day that God gives us to serve Him. Let us not take for granted or overlook the opportunities that God gives us to serve Him.

Our work does not have to be extraordinary. A kind word to someone who is feeling down can make a difference in someone’s day. Even allowing someone to enter traffic in front of you can change a person’s attitude. Be an encourager wherever you go.

Happy Monday,

“He Refreshes Our Souls”


If we are honest with ourselves, we will admit that we sometimes feel like we have traveled through a hot desert with no water. Times in dealing with others who are sick when we ourselves are sick ourselves. Times when we are overwhelmed.

This is when God reminds us to come to Him. To seek His peace. God has never asked us to stand on our own two feet and run this race without Him. He wants us to call out to Him. To seek His face in times of trouble. He is there for us if we will just seek Him.

Ephesians 2:14-18

A Cloud of Smoke By Day and A Fire By Night

Dear Father in heaven, our refuge for this day and for each day to come, touch us with the finger of your power. Be our protection and strong defense against all attacks of darkness. Where people look to you out of the darkness, let their eyes grow shining bright with the light from your eyes. Let your light shine within us and around us. Let your light bring your cause to victory, to the final great day of Jesus Christ. “Amen

God protected the people of Israel on their journey out of Egypt. The cloud protected them from the heat of the day and the fire provided them a hiding place from people and storms. What a marvelous God we serve. He knew what the people needed and he provided for them.

My friends, we can be guilty of thinking God does not care about our needs. The devil can tempt us into thinking that we are alone but we are not alone. We have people who care about us and are praying for us. We have a God who never forsakes us nor abandons us.

My friends let us not be overcome by fear because of what is happening in the world today. God is quite aware of what is happening and He can protect us. Look to Jesus and not at the circumstances around us. Seek guidance from God and put complete trust in Him, always.

Happy Wednesday,

God Cares For Us


“Promise #74:
I see all your hardships and I care about your suffering.

Psalm 31:7 (WEB)
I will be glad and rejoice in your loving kindness,
for you have seen my affliction.
You have known my soul in adversities.”

We can get so caught up in dealing with our issues that we feel alone and isolated. This is where the devil wants us. He wants us to feel that no one cares, not even God.

The truth is people are praying for us. People that we don't even know about our praying for us. God DOES CARE! Every one of us has issues to deal with. We all have problems. Yet, God has not forsaken us. He sees the pain that we bear that no one else sees.

God has a reason for allowing us to suffer. The question is do we trust His judgment? When we surrender to God and accept His decision we can deal with our suffering in peace. We can relax knowing that what we are going through will refine and restore us.

God is the potter and we are the clay. Growing in grace and maturity in Christ sometimes requires God to use heat but He will not use more heat than we can bear. When we feel we can bear no more draw closer to God. Seek the comfort that only God can give us.

Heaven On My Mind

When I woke up today, I lay in bed thinking of Heaven. Thinking of all the family reunions I am longing to have. Of course, the first face I want to see is Jesus.

When we get caught up in the evil of this world, it will do us a lot of good to think of our future in Heaven. There is nothing on this earth that can compare to the glories of Heaven.

When we are tired and weary we can seek rest from God for here and at the same time think of our future when we will be with God forever. Everyone of us are dealing with something. Contrary to the devil’s lies we all have our burdens to bear. Remember God is always with us. We are loved.

Dear Father in heaven, grant that we may come to you in the Spirit. Through your Spirit gather us and many others on earth around our Lord Jesus Christ, the great Savior of humankind. May our hearts become truly free because you deliver us from all bondage to our own natures and to the world around us. As free people may we be led safely through distress, fear, and want, through need and death. May we become happy children whom Jesus Christ has called to life, children who are not discouraged by the struggle but who fight joyfully for your kingdom until it can be revealed to all the world. “Amen

It is so easy to walk through this life with our heads hung down and feeling sorry for ourselves. If we aren't sure how much we are going through, the devil is glad to remind us. The truth is there are times it seems we are being smothered by troubles.

Yet when we look up to God we can see the light at the end of our journey. When we enter Heaven the troubles we endured will be just a fading memory. We must choose to walk in joy. How do we do that? By prayer and singing songs of praise to our Heavenly Father. Bu accepting the will of God with a joyful heart.

I'm spite of your difficulties, make it a practice to praise God every day and rejoice in your future home in Heaven.

Prayer

1. Pray everyday

You cannot have a great relationship with God if you only pray when you need something. When you wake up thank Him for another day. When my son died I did not always appreciate another day. Then I realized every day on this earth is a day that I can work for my Heavenly Father.

2. Be honest in your prayers

God already knows the truth about you so lying to God is a waste of time. When you are honest with God, you can be specific about your needs. When you mess up talk to God about it. Ask God to help you in areas where you are easily tempted in.

3. Pray, with a trusting heart

A prayer without trust will go nowhere. Do not be double-minded. The Lord is faithful to those who put their trust in Him.

4. Pray Continuely

Have a heart that praises God through out the day. Reminding yourself of all that God has done for you. Worship God every day. Rejoice in the goodness of our Lord and Savior.

To Stand Firm In Our Faith, Today We Need Strength From God


“Promise #78:
I will give you My strength to help you stand in high places.  

2 Samuel 22:33-34 (WEB)
33 God is my strong fortress. He makes my way perfect.
34 He makes his feet like hinds’ feet, and sets me on my high places.”

There are so many things coming at us these days. If we do not stay connected to God and His Holy Word we can lose our way. People we have long trusted to speak the truth of the Gospel have been led astray and are taking others with them.

There is only one truth and that is God’s Holy Word. We cannot allow admiration for a person to override the truth of God and the truth of the Gospel.

The devil is working hard because he knows his time is short to mislead the children of God. God will give us the strength to stand firm if we ask Him to do so. Always seek to please God over mankind. In the end, we will be judged by God and not mankind.

Search Me, God, And Know Me

It is comforting to know that God knows us better than we know ourselves and yet He loves us. We can be honest with God and still He will not abandon us.

When we come to God with a humble heart He will forgive us and restore us. Restoration with God brings forgiveness and peace. Walking daily and communicating with God through prayer can help us avoid sin.

It is important to avoid sin as much as possible because even forgiven sin has consequences. We can have more piece of mind when we live in righteousness. We seek to be righteous out of our love for our Heavenly Father.

Falling Apart

Seeing the Invisible
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.

We elderly often joke about our bodies falling apart. Truth is as we age our health does begin to decline. As Christians, we should focus more on our spiritual body. I do not mean we should neglect our physical bodies, but when we leave this world we will leave our bodies behind.

It is our spiritual relationship with God that will determine our rewards in Heaven. No one is going to get a crown for having the body of a young person st 80. The question is did we spend all our time on our bodies to the neglect of our spiritual health?

Make sure we spend time daily improving our relationship with God. Worshipping and praising God daily.

We Are The Children of God

May we always be loyal and full of hope, working and striving not only for what is earthly, but for the tasks that have been laid on us for your kingdom and its righteousness. Let new light shine out among us again and again. Let many understand when your voice is speaking to them, so that they may gain courage. Let your voice be heard so that the great gospel that makes us your children may be proclaimed to people of all circles.”Amen.

God wants us to bring our needs to Him. He wants us to share our concerns with Him. God does not ask us to tackle this life alone but to seek help from Him. Let us lay aside our pride and admit to our Heavenly Father that we need Him.

We can live in hope when we trust God completely. Lay aside foolish pride and seek God’s help every day. Pray for one another. Encourage one another.

Be Merciful

My mercy will overrule judgment.

For judgment is without mercy to him who has shown no mercy.
Mercy triumphs over judgment.”

We can be guilty of treating people harshly. We can be sarcastic with our words. We can be guilty of selfishness. These actions displease our Heavenly Father.

Kindness can go a long way. It takes a moment to think and not respond with rudeness when someone is rude to us. It is for better to pause a moment and gather our thoughts and respond with mercy. Nothing is gained when we respond with hateful and rude words.

Lamentations 3:22-23
New International Version
22 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
    for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
    great is your faithfulness.

Just as our God is merciful to us let us show mercy to others. We are not showing the love of Christ when we allow our temper to rule our actions.
Ask God to teach us to be kind and merciful. Remind ourselves how kind and merciful God has been to us.

Blessed Sunday,

“This Is The Day That The Lord Has Made”

Yesterday, the family got together at a nice restaurant overlooking the airport. I enjoyed being with my family. Last night though I was overcome with anxiety and went back to questioning God as to why he took our son away from us. I struggled for hours with this. Finally, in exhaustion, I surrendered again to God’s Will and prayed for sleep. Unfortunately, I went to sleep so late that I missed Church.

The good news is I woke up with peace this morning with the song “This Is the day that the Lord has made and I feel joy in my heart, Praise The Lord!
I do not believe we ever heal completely from the loss of a close family member. There will be times when we will fall down, but God will pick us up.

The question is not whether we will suffer setbacks but whether will we choose to stay on the floor and wallow in self-pity forever. We have to cry out to God and once again surrender to God’s will.

I am sure that having dementia adds to the issue but I must choose to trust God in all circumstances. At one point I did question why God took my son and allowed me to have dementia at the same time. God chose not to answer either of my questions. My job is to accept God’s Will in spite of not knowing why.

Many people in this world are suffering. Just in America over the weekend, we had flooding, fires, and, shootings. All over the world, there are people suffering.

As Christians not only should we be praying for those we know but for all suffering people. We can get caught up in our own suffering and not see the suffering of others. May God open our eyes to see others who have needs and may we pray sincerely for them.

Until the rapture may we be busy doing the work of God. Today I am sick but that does not prevent me from praying for others. May God give us compassion for others.

Meditate on These Things
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

We all suffer stress at times. Sometimes we wake up in a good mood only to have our mate who is stressed pass that stress on to us. Likewise, we can pass our stress on to them sometimes.

What can we do? Take our stress to God. Seek His help. Yelling at the one who caused our stress only rises our stress levels. In God, we find peace and comfort. God knows more than anyone the burdens we bear. In His great love for us, He sees us and He seeks to help us, if we will just ask.

Too often we wallow in our helplessness and forget to call out to God. We do not need someone to feel sorry for us, we need God to comfort us. He only can change our stress to peace.

Let us take the time in stressful times to stop and seek the face of God. Pray for ourselves and others.

“Obedience Learned Through Suffering”

Hebrews 5:8

8 though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.

This Scripture is talking about Christ. Though He was the Son of God, He learned obedience to His Father by suffering. None of us like to suffer. When I came back to bed this morning I was in a great deal of pain and still am. The truth is I do not like it.

Yet, pain provides a service. We learn to trust God through pain. Whether it is physical, mental, or emotional pain, pain teaches us to trust God when going through the fire.

In the midst of pain, our first desire is to get out of it. Instead, we often need to surrender to God’s Will. I am beginning to breathe easier. The pain is more bearable. Why? I stopped fighting against the pain and surrendered to God. We often sing ‘I surrender all!’, yet we fight against surrendering with all our might.

When we surrender to God’s Will, we let go of the struggle and give in to the Will of God. The pain is not gone but yet I am more intuned with God and I can feel His presence in the midst of my circumstances.

May God help us to say:”Have Thy Own Way, Lord! In all my circumstances”.

As we watch the things falling into place for the tribulation, it is easy to become discouraged because the rapture has not happened. We are to wait for Jesus with hopeful hearts. Redeeming the time as we wait.

Trusting in God every day as we wait for our blessed hope. For surely as the world is turning so is the assurance we have that Jesus is coming. The rapture is not a pipe dream. The rapture is a divine promise from our Heavenly Father.

God’s Holy Word is true and we can be secure knowing that His promises will be fulfilled. The devil has more and more people convinced the rapture will not happen before the tribulation. This is a lie from the devil he is using to divide the Church.

Stand strong in your faith, and serve the Lord with a willing heart. Have a heart of compassion for lost souls by praying for them daily. Keep looking up for Jesus is coming for us soon.

“I Am A Merciful God”


“Promise #90:
I will not forget My promises because I am a merciful God.

Deuteronomy 4:31 (WEB)
for Yahweh your God is a merciful God; he will not fail you, neither destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which he swore to them.’

There are some people who think that God will no longer keep His promises to Israel. This is a lie, and so is the replacement theory. The Church has not replaced Israel. One day Jesus will rule the world from New Jerusalem in Israel.

God will also keep His promises to mankind. Those who have turned from their sins and have accepted salvation through Jesus will walk on streets of gold. Those that chose sin over salvation will never step into the gates of Heaven.

Does this sound harsh? Jesus died to provide redemption for our sins. We cannot enter Heaven if we reject salvation. The reality we decide whether we want an eternity in Heaven or hell.

When sin becomes more important to us than salvation, we ourselves have chosen to go to hell. So sad, to choose a short time of sin for an eternity in hell. There is no sin worth going to hell for.

It is not too late to turn from our sinful lives and seek redemption through Christ. Accept salvation while there is still time. The Age of Grace is quickly coming to an end.

People choose to believe that there is no God because they believe that will save them from them from the consequences of their sins. Their beliefs do not take away from the existence of God.

Choosing to believe the lies of the devil does not change reality. Living in sin and pretending everything will work out, in the end, will not change the reality of those who choose sin over salvation.

We must choose for ourselves who we will serve: God or our own selfish desires. Remembering the choice we make today will determine our eternity.

Let us not be foolish and choose to live in righteousness and truth. For the sake of today and the sake of our eternity.

“I Am A Gracious God”

Yes, our God is merciful.”

I was awake until 7 this morning. I did not sleep very good Saturday night either. When we cannot sleep it is easy to become discouraged or even feel neglected by God. Our circumstances do not change God ‘s love and mercy for us.

It is so easy to find ourselves listening to the devil lies. He and his demons like to hit us when we are exhausted and throw discouragement into our minds. This is when we began to praise our Heavenly Father, reminding ourselves of God’s great love for us.

His love for us is great! His mercy will last throughout eternity. There are a lot of discouraged Christians. Let us not neglect to pray for one another.

I turned 71 today. God has been good to me all my life. I have had many losses and suffered major health issues but God has never forsaken me.
My sister and her family and my daughter-in-law surprised me with a Birthday party at a Mexican restaurant. I am so blessed that God gave me a great family.

The world is rapidly heading for a time of judgment by God. It is sad that even some Christians are blind to the times we are in. We can warn but we cannot change the hearts of others.

There is so much that goes on in the entertainment industry that blasphemes our Heavenly Father and Jesus. It breaks my heart. Sometimes I even apologize to God that has to see and hear that garbage.
Yet, I know God is for above all that.

We need to stay firm in our commitment to God and not roll with the tide around us. Continue to worship God and live in righteousness as we wait for the day we will leave this world for Heaven.

Let not our hearts be troubled for God is always with us. The Holy Spirit comforts and encourages us each day. We are not alone. We need not live in fear but have complete trust in God.

I went to two stores today and came home exhausted. Age does make a difference. It is so comforting to know that God does not abandon us when we are no longer able to work for Him as we did in our younger days.

When we serve God with all our hearts, we please Him. May God fill our hearts with overwhelming love for our Heavenly Father. May we worship Him daily with all of our hearts.

Good Friday,

As Christians, we see this day as anything but good. We see Jesus suffer horribly and then be crucified. The devil saw the day as a victory for himself. Yet death rose up to a victory for God.

Jesus took back the keys of death and hell. Soon Jesus will take back ownership of the earth and throw satan into hell for eternity. Things may look bad now, my friends but eternal victory is coming soon. Jesus is coming for His Church soon. We will be with God and the devil will never be able to touch us, again. Praise the Lord!

The Day After The Crucifixion

The Saturday, after the crucifixion, was anything but happy. All the promises that Jesus made concerning Heaven, now seemed like a pipe dream. Redemption just a promise blown away in the wind.

BUT, Sunday morning Jesus rose again. Jesus had won the victory over death. There was now hope for mankind. Salvation was not just a pipe dream but a precious reality. Glory to God in the Highest!

Happy Monday,

The celebration of Easter has come and gone. Let us not forget that Jesus is not in a grave but on His Throne in Heaven. He has won the victory over death and has the keys to hades in His possession. We no longer have to fear death. Death is just a passage from life on this earth to our eternity.

We choose where we will spend our eternity. Do we humble ourselves before God now, asking forgiveness for our sins or do we find ourselves at God’s feet at the White Throne of Judgement when the time of grace and forgiveness has passed?

The Age of Grace is slipping away like grains of sand in an hourglass. One day it will be too late. Will we wait too long to come to God?

God‘s Word Will Stand Forever

8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
Isaiah 40:8 KJV

Evil will one day come to an end. The devil, his demons, the anti-Christ, the false prophet, and all those who rejected salvation will spend eternity in a lake of hell. God’s Holy Word will never end.

We will one day spend eternity on a new earth and a new Heaven that will never be subjected to evil. We do not have the ability to imagine living in a healthy perfect world that is a larger size Garden of Eden.

Many of us are suffering now. We see evil abounding. This evil will continue to grow, but judgment is coming. God will defeat evil. Let us not become discouraged. Victory is coming. Heavenly peace is coming. Keep our eyes on Jesus and remind ourselves that victory is coming.

Lord our God, draw us to yourself. Draw us into the quiet that you give, where something can happen to us and to our hearts. Help us to discern your kingdom surrounding us and in our spirits to live in this kingdom. Then our life will be as if in heaven, where we need not worry or torment ourselves, where your power is everything to us, penetrating our earthly life, which so often weighs us down. We thank you that you have made a way of strength, full of power to hold us firmly, so that even when we stumble, we cannot be turned from the goal. We thank you for all the good that comes from you, which we cannot see in earthly things but which can invade our hearts with such mighty and uplifting power. Amen.

I feel less and less comfortable in this world. Are you feeling the same? I believe there is a reason we are feeling this way. God is helping us loosen our grip on the things of this world, because the rapture is happening soon. He is preparing our hearts so that we can let go of everything when the trumpet blows.

There is nothing or no one worth going to hell for. We were made for Heaven. As we grow closer to God our hearts are becoming more Heavenly-minded and that is a good thing. Let us keep our focus on our Heavenly Father. Let us seek to live in righteousness. We will make mistakes. When we do ask for forgiveness and pray for God to help us live in a way that will please Him.

Traveling

Remember when we were young and traveling with mom and dad? “Are we there yet”? Being said so many times we drove our parents mad. “How long “? We cry out to God so many times. I do not think God minds His kids saying this over and over. Simply because He longs for us to be with Him too.

My friends, things are being prepared for us to join God soon! God’s timing is the best! God is in control. He will not abandon us. As things here , gets worse, we deal with more angry and bitter people. It is easy to return anger with anger. Pray that God will give us a compassionate heart that will pray silently for them. We do not know what others are going through.

The Grace Of God

God’s amazing grace not only saves us from hell, but helps us live in righteousness. It is His grace that picks us up when we fall down. It is His grace that helps us continue to walk with God, when we are so close to giving up. None of us have arrived at perfection. We all grow tired and weary.

Though we are often beaten emotionally, we are not defeated. We are so close to the rapture. This is why the devil is fighting against so hard. I do not know the burdens that you carry, but God does. Instead of becoming angry, ask God to strengthen you. Seek His help when defeat is knocking at your door. In the midst of the storm worship God in prayer and songs. Encourage others when you are struggling and the Holy Spirit will encourage you.

Overwhelmed

I woke up today with one of those dementia headaches. The pain is almost unbearable. It is so easy to feel abandoned by God, when you are in great pain. Yet if we call out to God He will wrap His arms around us and comfort us.

We can trust God even when relief seems far away. We can stand in our faith when we feel abandoned by God. Call out to God and praise Him in all circumstances. Seek His face and talk to God about our issues.

The Holy Spirit convicts us of our sins and shows us our need for redemption through the blood of Christ. The Holy Spirit will also train us on how to be responsible children of God if we ask Him to do so. If we pray to God and ask Him to have the Holy Spirit guide us on how to live in a way that is pleasing to God, He will do so.

We cannot be double-minded. We must want to live for God every day. When we live one way at work and one way at Church we are being double-minded. The Bible makes it clear that we cannot serve two Masters. We must choose ourselves or God. We are choosing one or the other, whether we realize it or not.

Pray that the Holy Spirit will help us be consistent in our walk with God and our faith in God.

My friends, I have become tired and weary. Have you as well? During these days it is so easy to feel that way. Evil is abounding faster than ever. Even sadly some Christians are being persuaded to go along with the world on sinful things.

What we are feeling is normal. Our soul is being rightfully stirred up by the evil around us. This means we need to talk to God more. God knows our suffering and He will hold us up when we cannot stand on our own. He will encourage us when we feel defeated.

Pray for God to comfort and strengthen all Christians, to be strong in our faith no matter what the world proclaims. May He help us to continue working until the trumpet sounds!

In The Midst of The Storm

Storms of life are a given. There are times that we go through days that feel like we are in a hurricane. Yet, in the midst of this, we feel the Lord's gentle spirit cover us with His love.

How glorious to feel God cover us in His love! To know that to Him we are important. That our lives matter to Him. He is not blind to our struggles.. He sees and He cares for us. We are not alone. God is with us. He will carry us through to the end.

Keep our eyes on Jesus and the victory ahead. Pray pray pray!

Happy Thursday,

When I Do Not Have The Answers

There are times when we are at a crossroads and we do not which way to turn. We can become frozen in place, afraid to commit to anything. What should we do?

Jeremiah 33:3
‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

God will answer our petitions. We may have to wait a few days or even weeks, but if we spend this time in praying and reading God’s Word, the time is not wasted.

Psalm 17:6
I have called upon You, for You will answer me, O God;
Incline Your ear to me, hear my speech.

Trust God in all situations. Remind yourself of the many answers to prayer in the past. Praise God for being there when you needed Him. Remember we can trust God in the present and the future.

Whatever battles we fight today, our future is brighter than we can even imagine. Keep our eyes focused on Jesus and trust in Him in all situations and circumstances.

Respect Your Salvation

Do Not Neglect Salvation
2 Therefore we must give [a]the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. 2 For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just [b]reward, 3 how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him, 4 God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts[c] of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?

The Lord Jesus suffered a brutal and violent death to pay the cost of our salvation and yet too often we take our salvation for granted and too lightly. God help us to remember the expensive cost of our redemption.

If you are like me, you turn your head away from pictures of Jesus on the cross. The truth is just too hard to look at. Sometimes we need to face head-on the reality of the cross. The pain was real. The shame Jesus bore for us was real. Jesus still bears the scars He bore to buy our redemption.

May God give us a thankful and grateful heart for our gift of salvation. If our Heavenly home was a shack in the woods we would still be in Heaven compared to an eternity in the lake of fire.

In this world today we need wisdom, more than ever. There seems to be a new scam every month to trick us out of our money. We can not trust some Pastors and Christian Teachers. Everything that comes out of politicians' mouths is not true. Even the news is not always correct.

That is not all! We need the wisdom from God to help us make the right decisions. We need the wisdom to avoid the pits of sin. We do not have to beg God for wisdom, just ask in faith.

Be Kind

And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

“While waiting for a train at a station in Atlanta, Georgia, a young man wearing dress pants and a button-down shirt sat on a bench. As he struggled with his tie, an older woman encouraged her husband to help. When the elderly man hunched over and began teaching the young man how to knot the tie, a stranger took a photo of the trio. When this photo went viral online, many viewers left comments about the power of random acts of kindness.”

There are many opportunities to be kind to others, if we look for them. A simple act of kindness can change the day for another person and may even change our attitudes for the good.

Pray for God to help us grow more loving, compassionate, and caring children of God. May we be a beacons of God’s love!

Being Convicted

Have you ever listened to a Sermon on Sunday only to find your self convicted on Monday?
The Pastor talked about directional prayer. This is when we petition God and then proceed to tell God exactly how to answer our prayer.

I was praying today and before you know it, I was giving suggestions to God on how to answer my prayer. As soon as the Holy Spirit convicted me, I sought forgiveness from God.
When we pray let us be willing to accept God’s Will in His answer.

Walk in the Spirit

We must not be naive. We are not yet in our glorified bodies. Our bodies are corruptible. Not only by illness but also by desires which are often contrary to God’s Will.

We must control the lust of our bodies that can lead us into sin. The biggest is pride. Pride can make us think we are beyond temptation. The Bible warns us of this.

1 Corinthians 10:12

12 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.

This does not mean to live in fear but be aware. The devil is always watching us and he knows our weaknesses. We need to keep our eyes on Jesus and pray daily for God to help us walk in the Spirit.

How Do We Cope?

There is a lot of stress in this world. Sometimes there is a lot of stress in our own homes. Both, my hubby and I have dementia. His is much further along than mine, but we are both easily irritated.

When we are having bad days, I seek help from God. Whatever your struggles, God wants you to call out to Him for help, to seek God’s face in the midst of your difficulties. There is no shame in seeking help from our Heavenly Father. He wants to call on Him when we are in need of help.

Do not be alarmed about what is happening in this world. As the saying goes:” the world is not falling apart but falling into place”. The world is being prepared to face judgment and it will not be long until God calls His children Home.

Keep looking up for the prize of eternity in Heaven with God.

The Blessings To Come

We cannot fathom the wonders that await us in Heaven. We do not even know what we look like with our glorified bodies. I am quite sure we will be perfect without any scars or blemishes.

We get so caught up in today's troubles that we forget the glorious future we have waiting for us in Heaven. Let us remind ourselves of our future home and rejoice that God loves us so much that He has created a perfect home for us.

Happy Monday,

The Fruit of the Spirit

Happy to say that both hubby and I made it to Church yesterday. It is great to be in Church but I miss a lot because of my the way my brain affects my sleep.

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

It would be so wonderful if we exhibited all the fruits of the Spirit every day. We still live in corruptible bodies and there are times that we react in anger and we can be brash with our answers.

Thankfully we serve a merciful God who is quite willing to forgive us our transgressions. We can pray to be more like God and more loving.

There is so much anger in this world. In Texas, a man killed a woman and her baby just because they asked him not to shoot his rifle in his front yard because it made their baby cry. Every day there seems to be another mass shooting. The devil is building up hate and violence in people. Pray for our safety and the soon return of Jesus.

Love is Essential

We cannot live a Christian life without love. Human relationships do not last without love. Love is the glue that holds relationships together. Love helps us forgive one another.

1 Corinthians 13

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.

Paul tells us that if we do many works for God but do not have love in our hearts then we have done our work in vain.

We need to love one another and have compassion for one another. A loving heart comes from God. With so much evil in this world, it is easy to be so angry at people that we begin not to care.

Remember the news only showcase the evil. Rarely do they show the good that people do. We must remember that evil people have been influenced by the devil. While we hate the evil they do, we can still have pity on them and pray for their souls. Eternity in hell is a high price for choosing evil over Jesus, but too many make that choice.

Secured in the Lord

All your days are known to Me and your inheritance is secure forever.

 Yahweh knows the days of the perfect.
Their inheritance shall be forever.”

It is so easy to get caught up in our own problems and the problems of this world that we may lose sight of what is important. My friends, we do not want these to be our best days. God help us if these are our best days.

Our best days will be in Heaven when we can see and talk to Jesus, face to face. No longer will we suffer pain and illnesses. We will walk and run in our perfect bodies that will never be acquainted with sin. Praise God!

Yet, God has not abanded us to this world of evil. He walks with us everyday. Dealing with dementia I have times of confusion but God is so kind that He still uses me for His glory. We need not fear the days ahead. God knows the future and He will provide for us what we need. It is so important that we put our complete trust in God and honor God not just with our mouths but with our actions.

May God bless everyone who reads this and give them a special blessing today.

Prayer Is Essential To A Christian

Matthew 26:41
Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

To live a life in this sinful world, prayer must be as much a part of our day as eating. Just as our bodies must be fed, so must our souls. We feed our souls with God’s Holy Word and communion in prayer with God.

We can become complacent thinking we have this Christian living down pact. Yet it does not matter how long we have been a Christian, we can still stumble and fall.

Stumbling and falling are harder to take when we have been a Christian along time. We can literally be shocked when we sin. No one on this earth has it made.

When we neglect spending time with God, we open ourselves up to temptation. When we sin this allows doubts to enter our minds. I am not saying we will ever be perfect, but communicating with God daily will help us resist temptation.

How Do We Pray, When We Don’t Know What
To Say?

We start out with sincere praise to God. Thank Him, for the years that you have been allowed to live. Thank Him for giving you a place to live and food to eat.

As you begin to praise God, He will bring to your mind all the times that He was there for you. Then God will bring to your mind, people who are in need. Then you will have the privilege to pray for them.

As we live here waiting for the rapture it is important for us to pray often and seek to serve God here on earth. We are His children and it should be considered a privilege for us to work for the one who fufilled the plan to save us from an eternity in hell.

Praise the Lord in words and our actions.

As God’s children, it should be important for us to walk in the will of God. We should want to serve Him, will a glad heart, grateful for all He has done for us.

The world has many distractions that can take our eyes off of God. We can easily be distracted. It is easier to stay in God’s will when we start our day with prayer.

We can pray that God will use us to help and encourage others. It should be our desire to be a blessing to others. Pray for one another. Praise God for His goodness and greatness.

My Word Will Brighten Your Steps

My Word will brighten your steps and light your path.

Psalm 119:105 (WEB)
Your word is a lamp to my feet,
and a light for my path.”

I have always seen this verse as God lightening our path, when we are lost and afraid. Yet, there is another meaning. When we are overcome with the darkness around us and depression sets in, we can go to God’s Holy Word.

God wants to build us up and strengthen our faith. Faith gets us through dark days and nights. When we trust God, He will hold our hands, and give us courage, and peace.

God’s Holy Word is a light to our path, a map to our final destination. We need not fear the chaos around us because our God is in control. I admit I do not read the Bible as often as I should have. May we make our point to spend more time praying and reading the Holy Word of God.

Lord, Almighty God of heaven and earth, grant that we may come to you as your children. For you have chosen us through the gospel, and Jesus Christ has obtained mercy for us so that in you we have a refuge in disturbed and evil times. We turn to your Word, Lord God, rejoicing that again and again the whole of Christendom is led back to your Word. Strengthen all those who serve your Word, who look to you and to the grace of Jesus Christ. Grant that everywhere we may have hope and joy in the redemption you will bring in every situation, also in our ordinary practical life. Grant that through this redemption the earth may proclaim your praise and honor your name, your kingdom may come, and your will be done on earth as in heaven. Amen”

We suffer needlessly because we forget who our source is. God is the owner of everything. With just a word from His mouth, He could make every living thing on Earth disappear and gather all the wealth on Earth and proclaim it as His.

Yet, we live in fear of what is happening in the world today. Our Heavenly Father will provide for our needs. We are in His hands. He will take care of us. We need not fear.

We see things playing out just as God said it would. He told us in Scripture so we would be prepared mentally and not wonder if God had left His throne.

My friends, fear not. God is still in control and we can still trust Him in all things.our hope is in God and not in mankind.

Lord our God, we thank you that we can be children of your Spirit. For you are our life, and in all the darkness, even that of death, you give us light and strength and joyful hope. Keep these alive in us. May an ever brighter light shine on all that you have already put into our hearts, on all that draws us daily to you. Amen

When we had a special Teacher that we liked very much, we sought to please this teacher. If we love God we will seek to honor God in all of our ways. Pleasing God will be important to us.

We will want to obey God. His laws will not be a page of rules to us, but we will want to live the way, God wants us to live. We will strive to obey His teachings out of our love for Him. Love will guide us and not fear.

It is good to have a good conscience so that we do not bring shame to our family and God. When we sin against man, let us be quick to sincerely apologize and repent to God. This will free us from satan sabotaging us with guilt.

When we seek to live free from sin we will be more at peace. We will not be under bondage. Seek to walk with God daily and pray for spiritual guidance in all things.

Happy Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day

Mother's Day can be semi-sweet when your parents and a child have left this earth. Only those who have lost a child really understand the pain. A hole in your heart that will not be filled on this earth.

My daughter is out of state with her daughter. My daughter-in-law has really stepped up to the plate to be here for me and I appreciate it very much.

Today pray for Mothers who have suffered the loss of a child. My daughter and her family, just face-timed me and that was very nice.

May God bless every mother and provide for her needs.

Happy Monday,

“Look To The Heavens”

Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one. Isaiah 40:26

We can get so caught up in our problems that we never look up. A wife with dementia dealing with a husband that has worse dementia, has a hard job. You never know how your husband is going to be in the morning.
Many times, they get up mad at you for reasons that you do not understand.

Yet God never abandons, us. He gives us strength and peace amid the storms. We can trust in God even on days when everything seems to falling around us. There are times when our physical pain overwhelms us, this is when we cry out to God.

My friends, many of you are suffering physical and emotional pain. Do not give up, when we are so close to home. Do like the song says: praise God in the midst of the storm. Keep our focus on God. Trust God when you are surrounded by darkness, we may not see God but, He is always with us. You are loved by your brothers and sisters in Christ and most important God loves you with an everlasting love.

How wonderous it is to know that we do not have to chase goodness and loving-kindness! Instead, God pursues us with His goodness and loving kindness. How blessed we are to be children of God!

Let us seek to serve God with a heart of Thanksgiving! Our Heavenly Father wants to fill our days with joy and peace. Even on bad days, we can have the joy of the Lord in our hearts. We will have joy when we have a heart of worship and praise to our God and King!

Serving Others Is Serving God

When we serve others in the Name of Christ,we will receive two awards. A reward of a blessing from the person we bless and from God. Our responsibility is to have the right attitude. Serve others out of our love for God and not to be a people pleaser.

We work for God because we appreciate our precious gift of salvation. When we love God, we want to live for God and to work for His glory. It is so much better to be a God-pleaser than be a people-pleaser.

We all have times of weakness. Sometimes it is physical and sometimes it is emotional. Even in these times, God is with us. We wondered why God allows this and yet we wish God would explain to us. We are the clay and God is the potter. The potter does not explain to the clay what He is doing.

We are to be trusting of God to allow evil things to happen to us, but if we trust God to know what is best, we can depend on understanding one day in Heaven. The more we trust God the stronger we grow in the Lord!

Pray for lost souls and pray for the rapture to be soon! Pray for God to give us the strength to carry on until He comes for us.

Happy Monday,

“We Do Not Understand, Lord!”

There are things that we go through we do not understand. I have mentioned that my husband and I have many health issues. His dementia is getting worse. This morning he was mad because I have several issues including early dementia that are not curable. He was fussing at me for allowing myself, to get illnesses that can't be fixed. Like I chose this.

My heart was crying out to God, to help me. I was having those dementia head pains that they call ice-pick headaches. Many of us have things in our lives that we do not understand why God allowed them to happen to us. We can get so distressed that anxiety comes upon us. The devil likes to use these times to attack us.

This is why it is so important to go to God immediately and not wait until we are exhausted and more vulnerable to the devil’s attacks. I was fixing eggs and just kept talking to God as my husband fussed. By the time he got his eggs, he was calm and thought he would feel better if he took a little nap.

Prayer can stop a small situation from turning into a huge situation. There are many things in our lives we suffer with that we do not understand, why. God wants us to trust Him through all things.

Remember the old song ‘Through it All’? We can trust God through all things.

How much time do we spend with God? Sadly, our relationship with God suffers because we do not make time to spend with God. Our relationship with God can become “Good Morning God and Good Night God” simply because we become too busy to talk to God.

God wants a relationship with us, do we want a relationship with Him? If we want a relationship with God, we have to make the time to do so. We have to choose to spend time with God.

Choose today to appoint a time to spend with our Heavenly Father. It is time well worth spending. God bless you and your families.

Happy Friday,

Searching For God

I woke up hurting at three fifteen a.m. And can't sleep. It's okay. I can lay here and talk to God. Like others, I have some days that crush my spirit and then I have days that soothe my soul.

There are so many questions that I do not have the answers for! That is okay. God knows all! God does not ask us to explain everything. He asks us to trust Him in all situations.

Trust is such a little word that packs a powerful punch. We must have faith in order to please God. Salvation comes through faith in Christ.

Acts 16:31

31 So they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

We must trust God with all of our hearts. A double-minded person will not enter the gates of Heaven. Either we trust God or we do not.

James 1:8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

We must choose to trust God in all of our ways and seek His face daily, in all circumstances. The more we trust God, the more we grow to love God, and the more we love God, the more we trust God.

It is easy to become distracted. So many things in the world to catch our eyes. Have the opinions of celebrities and people of power become more important than the opinions of God?

Let us lift our eyes to the God of Heaven and praise His Name for ever.

Paid For By Blood Sweat and Tears

I will always believe that the birth of America was planned by God to aid in the re-birth of Israel. This said, America has stayed free because of the blood of men and women slain on battlefields abroad.

Today we honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their Country. It is lovely to get together with our families today for celebrations, but let us take time to honor the sacrifice of everyone who died to keep America free.

Just as Jesus died to provide redemption for us. Men and women have died to keep America free. Enjoy your freedom today, because too many politicians want to take many of your freedoms away from you.

Do Not Give Up On Me

In this age of rebellion and sin, we can feel that God has abandoned us. The devil fights us from every side. There are times when we are overwhelmed with attacks from many sides. Truth is we can be tempted to give up on ourselves.

This is not the time to give up on working for God. He still has plans for our lives. Work for God out of love and respect for Him. Pray for God to strengthen us so that we can finish the race before us. Honor God with our words, our hearts, and our works.

Pray For Endurance With A Trusting Heart

There are times when we endure day after day of trials and tribulations. We can become physically and emotionally exhausted. If we are not careful our fatigue can lead to anger towards God.

We feel stuck in a miserable situation and it seems God doesn't care. When we are told troubles develop character we want to shout that we don't want any more character. We can fight against our situation until we feel like we have melted onto the floor. At this point, we are forced to look up to God.

Why not seek God in the midst of our troubles? Remember Joseph's troubles lasted a long time but Joseph did not give up on God. The end of his life made up for all the bad. We may not see complete victory until we enter Heaven, but the glories of Heaven will be worth it all!

Friendship With The Holy Spirit

“The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him, and he makes known to them his covenant.” Psalm 25:14

The Godhead consists of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. God in three persons, perfect Trinity. All members of the Godhead want to be our friends. All want to help and guide us through out our lives.

We begin to grow spiritually when we trust all of God to do what is best for us. We can live securely in the knowledge that whatever happens to us is part of God’s divine plans.

We go through times when things are so bad that we can not understand our situation and not why God has allowed it to happen. Complete trust is giving everything over to God and believing that He knows best.

Fruits of the Spirit


“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”

There are times when it is easier for the fruits of the Spirit to shine through us, than others. There are times when the devil attacks us as soon as we get out of bed. The fruits of the Spirit can be pushed to the corner when we are overwhelmed by hurt feelings, anger, and confusion.

We go through situations that we don't understand the reasoning behind. Troubles don't come one at a time. There are times we feel we are growing in a sea of problems. We may not even have the words to pray for ourselves.

When we have no words to say for us, pray for others. We know many people personally that have needs. Praying for others is a form of worshipping God.

Pray that God we will be a blessing to others.

This world is not our home. Soon we will go to our forever home where we will live in peace and joy forever. Today’s troubles will just be a distant memory. In the midst of troubles, we can rejoice in the glories that await us.

Waiting on answers from God can seem to take forever. If we are honest with ourselves, we can get right down cranky, waiting for God to answer.
Does, not God realize that we live in an instant world?

Let us be honest with ourselves, would we like a nice juicy steak cooked on a grill or a dried-out one cooked in a microwave? Often the best of things take time and effort.

The same with spirituality. We will not grow healthy spiritual lives in a microwave. Going through trials is hard and often leaves scars but the end result will be worth it all!

Jesus Cares

Like many families, there are several people in our family with serious health conditions. It is easy to wonder if God is sleeping while we struggle. God is on His throne and He is with us. God wants us to stop struggling and trust Him.

As we get closer to the rapture the devil will continue to work against us but God will always be for us. We may not understand His plans, but understanding His plans is not our job. Trusting Him is our job.

Remember all troubles and trials will be worth it all when we see Jesus.
Do not give up but draw closer to our Heavenly Father.

We had a nice breakfast at Golden Corral this morning. Several people helped hubby with his plate. There are still good people in this world.
We can encourage people by helping out when we can.

As we await the rapture we need to be busy looking for ways to be a blessing to others and to show God’s love to others. Since Jeff passed away I have a tendency to be depressed. I am sure that there are other Christians who are bothered by depression. Let us not give in to depression and instead praise God and be grateful children.

Only A Taste Of What Is To Come


“Promise #162:
I have anointed you with My Spirit as a down payment of what is yet to come.

2 Corinthians 1:21-22 (WEB)
21 Now he who establishes us with you in Christ,
and anointed us, is God; 22 who also sealed us,
and gave us the down payment of the Spirit in our hearts.”

We cannot even imagine the wonders that await us in Heaven. For now, we are limited by our corruptible bodies, but one day we will shake off these bodies, and God, Himself, will give us a brand new perfect body.

We will never know any kind of pain again; physical or emotional. We cannot imagine the joy that awaits us when we enter into Heaven’s gates.
Our finite minds cannot even visualize the beauties of Heaven.

The Holy Spirit has sealed us and one day God will call us to our Heavenly Home where all of our trials and earthly losses will just be a long-ago memory.

When the devil attacks us, we need to remind Him what awaits us in Heaven.
We need to remain ourselves that through Christ we are inheriting the glories of Heaven for eternity.

We Must Desire

For they shall be filled.

We must have the desire to grow strong in faith and firm in our trust in God. If we are not careful, we can become more concerned with pleasing people than God. It might even take sacrificing our own desires to please God.

When we get to Heaven many of us, including me, will see so many missed opportunities that we let go that we could have made a difference in another’s life. I can be so self-absorbed sometimes, that I miss opportunities to be a blessing to others. We cannot fix the past but we can pray to do better in the present and future.

We must seek opportunities to help others and to work for our Heavenly Father. We must desire to want to grow spiritually and to fulfill the jobs that God has given us for His Kingdom.

This world is being overcome by evil and darkness. I never dreamed that Science would be rejected to accept the lies of the devil. Even today when a body is found, the body is identified as male or female.

The devil is working overtime to confuse people so they are vulnerable to his attacks. If we are not careful we can be tempted to believe the lies of the devil.

Self-confusion does not come from God but the devil. This does not mean as Christians we are at liberty to dislike people who are caught up in the devil’s web. We are to love them and pray for them.

God Do All Things

We sometimes doubt that God is going to provide for us. I must admit that after my son died, I started to wonder if God would answer my prayers, because He took my son from me.

Then I realized that God did answer my prayer. Just not the way I wanted. I wanted my son healed on earth, God chose to take him to heaven instead. It still hurts that God made that decision. Yet, I must trust Him.

Perhaps God has made choices in your life that causes you pain. We all have to trust that God knows best. One day we will understand until then we love and trust our Heavenly Father.

Time To Repent

“The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” Mark 1:15, NIV

The time is to be saved because the rapture is drawing close. Sadly, as we get closer, people are becoming more angry at God and Christians. They do not see that they are losing their chance to miss the tribulation.
Even worse is they will blame God for their being left behind.

We must keep praying and sharing the message of the Gospel until the last moment. We must give the lost every chance to accept the truth before it is too late.

The Bible says because people reject Jesus they will accept the messenger of satan.

Happy Father’s Day

No one had a perfect father, but most of us had a father that loved us and did his best to be a great father. Some fathers who started out bad, did their best to make up for it in their older years.

Our Heavenly Father is and always will be our perfect father. We can always trust God. We can be assured that whatever God allows to happen to us, there is a reason for it and someday we will understand.

Where Is God?

Have you ever felt abandoned by God? You feel your prayers are following on deaf ears. You are not alone. King David, a man that God called after His own heart, questioned where was God.

Psalm 13:1

How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever?
How long will You hide Your face from me?

Yet David encouraged himself in the Lord:

5 But I have trusted in Your mercy;

We can also encourage ourselves in the Lord even when God seems to be silent. In these times of silence, our faith is built up in the Lord. We choose to have faith in the silence instead of doubting God.

In times of silence instead of doubting God, continue to do His bidding. Work for God with a heart of love. Use your time wisely instead of grumbling. Walk in the wisdom of God.

Where is Your Gratefulness

When God brought the Israelites out of Egypt, it was not long before the people begin to grumble. God provided food and kept their clothes and shoes in good shape for 40 years. Yet they grumbled about the type of food and when water was scarce.

Before we get to thinking poorly of them we also tend to complain, ourselves. We do not understand why our prayers are not answered immediately or the way we want. We must be willing to accept God’s will even when His will differs from ours. Remind ourselves that God knows best.

“Faith Comes By Hearing”

Children of God, many of us are growing tired and weary. We do not see why God has not come and gotten us. We see evil growing by leaps and bounds and very little justice.

We must remind ourselves that we are not privy to God’s plans. It is not our place to demand God perform our will. Yet, God is not blind and deaf to our pain and sorrow.

We read God’s Holy Word to build up our faith so that we can stand strong for God even when we have questions. It is easy to say that one day we will understand, but faith in God will help us wait until that time. God will reward us for our faith and trust in Him.

Carrying our cross is no longer popular. We want God to give us our best life now. We need to see the big picture and desire to have our best life in eternity when it will last for eternity.

A close relationship with Christ often requires personal sacrifices. This is not pleasant and we often resist it, but God wants us to surrender to His will.

Anything we give up here we will be rewarded in Heaven, for. We can trust God to make everyone right when we enter the gates of Heaven.

Happy Saturday,

God Still Cares

I have been having these headaches that start at the front of my right ear and goes through my ear and across the right side of my head. These headaches make it hard to think also. I see a doctor about them Monday.

The thing is I have been having these headaches for over six months. I mention them occasionally to the Neurologist but do not press the issue. Why? Because I am afraid of what I will find out.

We can get caught up in fear about many things. Fear about our jobs, the safety of our family, and fear of the future just to name a few. We get so focused on our fears that we can lose sight of God.

Truth is we cannot change what is ahead but we can choose to focus on the goodness of our Heavenly Father. Reminding ourselves whether we live or die, God will be with us.

Losing Our Way

We all have difficulties in our lives. There are times when we are hit with more than one problem at the same time. We can be so overwhelmed with physical and mental pain that aw lose sight of God.

I myself do not understand why God is allowing me to suffer from dementia while trying to help hubby with his which is worse. At the same time dealing with horrible headaches. I wish I could say that I was righteous enough that I always take the high road, but no. I give in to grumbling and complaining to God just like the Israelites.

We must remind ourselves that God knows our weaknesses better than we do. He sympathizes with our pain and frustrations. We can take our troubles to God. He does hear our prayers. What do we do when the answer does not come right away? We trust God. We show our love for God by trusting Him in all circumstances.

How Do We Stand On God’s Promises?

First of all, we must know what they are. If we do not read the Bible we will not know what the promises of God. We must choose to know God’s Word for ourselves.

Secondly, we must trust. The promises mean nothing.. we do not trust God to fulfill His promises. We must choose to trust in God.

Thirdly, we must choose to know God. The more we know God, the stronger our faith in Him, will grow.

Am I Following God?

In the days we are living in, it is easy to lose our way. Sin is no longer hidden in the dark but paraded down main streets, in children’s shows, and approved of in some of our Schools.

Sadly, some Churches no longer preach again sin and some even promote sin as acceptable. We can find ourselves doubting the truth of God’s Word. Choosing to believe that God has conformed to this world and the world’s view on sin.

God has proven time and time again that He will tolerate sin forever.

We can not overstate how important it is to stay focused on God and His Word. We are so close to the end of the age of the Church age. It is dangerous to dabble in sin so close to going home.

Live in the Light of God

Ephesians 5:8-9 says, For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true (NLT).

It is hard to always be good. There are times when we are tired, in pain, or dealing with issues that we become grumpy, irritable, and rude. What do we do, we apologize. We admit we were wrong.

We can trust God to help us in the bad times because He loves us, and He is willing to forgive us. Things are getting worse and we are around angry bitter people. We need to pray that we do not become angry and bitter. Ask God to give us a caring and kind spirit.

Jesus Is Always With Me

Ephesians 3:17-18

17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,
18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,

Wherever I go, Jesus is with me. The thing is, do I let the Holy Spirit shine through me so others can see God working through me? Am I an example of God’s love?

The truth is sometimes I am, but sometimes I, am the opposite. We do not have to be this way. We can begin the day with prayer and Thanksgiving. We can seek to be rooted in God and established in His love.

The more time we spend with God, the more like Him we will be. We must remember it is a choice, our choice to make. God will not force Himself on us.

What do I want? Who do I want to be like? If we spend too much time enveloped in the world, we will become like the world. Let us choose instead, to be like Jesus.

Worry and Trust Do Not Go Together

As Christians, we consider ourselves trusting children of God, yet too often we worry. What if God does not provide for our needs? What if we have an accident? The devil can supply many what if’s for us.

I know what it is like to go through troubles. To lose my child was the worse. Yet even though I do not understand I can still trust that God knows best.

We must choose to trust God in all things. The choice is ours whether to give into the devil’s words or trust God.

Happy Independence Day

America was formed by people who wanted to choose their own religion. To worship God in the way they felt in their own heart and spirits.

Americas are not perfect but we have done great things. We have fought alongside other people in two world wars to keep people free. We have also had our share of mistakes.

We started out with good intentions in Vietnam and Afghanistan, only to have our Government lose interest. This does not take away from the fact that men and women fought hard for the freedom of others. Some came home missing parts of their own bodies and others took their last breath fighting for the freedom of the people of these Countries.

With our faults, we can stand proud and salute our Flag, knowing Americans have done their best for America and other Countries. We have fought for the freedom of others. We have sent people to the Mission field to share the Gospel of Jesus. Like in war, many Missionaries died on their battlefields.

When we celebrate today, remind ourselves that everyone who fought for our freedom did not come home. Our freedom was paid for by the blood of many who choose to die rather than surrender. Remember to thank God who has chosen to allow America to be free and independent.

Worry and Strife

I have been talking about worry a lot lately. As I have said before, we live in worrisome times. Many people are worried about the dollar crashing.
The price of everything is going up.

Parents have additional worries. They worry about their children being indoctrinated in Schools. They worry about them getting mixed up with the wrong crowd. They are concerned about their children being injured or killed.

We must remind ourselves to take our worries and stress to God. Yesterday started out as a bad day. Hubby had dementia, issues. You cannot talk to a person who is convinced something happened that did not.

I say this so you can see I know what worry and stress are all about. Last night hubby was himself again. God does hear our prayers. He does care about our situations.

Whatever happens in the future God will be with us. We can trust God throughout all things. Let’s face it we will have times when we stress and worry. There is no shame in giving into worry and stress, but just do not stay there. Reach out to God for help.

If we keep these two commandments, we will keep them all. To be a Christian we must love God and put Him first above all. If we live in the righteousness of Christ, we will keep all ten commandments.

We must choose to be faithful. God is not going to force, us. God does not force salvation anyone. Any person who goes to hell, chose to refuse salvation. No one goes to Heaven or hell by accident. Each person makes their own personal choice.

Encourgagement

“For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope” (Romans 15:4, NASB).

The Bible was written to show us the way to God. From the very beginning, the Bible shows us that we need a Savior. The Bible shows us the Savior is Jesus.

The Bible is a great source of encouragement. The Bible gives us hope not only for today but for our future in Heaven. Encouragement and hope are important in this generation.

WELCOME Home, My Good and Faithful Servant

There was a time when my motivation for being a Christian was not going to hell. Then my motivation became enjoying the glorious beauties of Heaven.

Now my motivation is to hear God say to me:

Do not get me wrong, I still look forward to seeing my son again and all the relatives of mine that have passed on. Walking on the streets of gold will still be a marvelous sight. I am looking forward to walking into my new home in Heaven. Yet, it will all pale compared to hearing my God say that He is proud of me.

I still stumble and I still occasionally have to ask God for forgiveness when I lose my temper. I will never be perfect in this body, but I still long to live in a way that will make God proud of me.

When we determine to serve God through it all, He will give us peace. Even when we feel overwhelmed, we can ask God for peace. God loves us and He wants to grant us peace.

The Holy Spirit has many gifts that He gives to believers to help us accomplish the mission God has given us. We do not all have the same mission but, we all need the Holy Spirit to help us succeed in our mission.

When we become saved the Holy Spirit moves into our soul. The Holy Spirit knows us better than anyone. He wants to guide us and help us, but the person who grieves the Holy Spirit is in grave danger.

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

The Holy Spirit is a part of the Godhead. When we grieve the Holy Spirit, we grieve God. When we live in a way that pleases God, we are pleasing all of the Godhead, including the Holy Spirit.

Happy Friday,

Tired and Weary

I did not have it in me to write my blog yesterday. I felt empty with nothing to give. We all have days when we feel our cups empty. It is not because God has abandoned us.

It is because we live in a corruptible body that is acceptable to illnesses and mental depression. I am not talking about the illness of depression, but the blues that can affect us for a day or two. Sometimes it is okay to give into the blues and just take a day or two to rest our bodies and minds. We must not stay there in the dumps but move on after we have rested.

Our time on this earth is coming to an end but God will be with us every day that we are here. He will give us the strength to carry on in a world where the Christian faith is no longer respected. We must remember that we are not called to be people-pleasers, but God-pleasers. Do not give up but serve God with dedication and determination.

We can go through things that knock us off our feet. We can be hit with physical, emotional, and financial blows. We can lose our way in life. Yet, when we choose to come to Christ for help, He will give us hope for another day.

I read about a Actor I had admired who died this year. His caregiver said that his last two words were profanity. It doesn’t sound like he was entering the gates of Heaven when he died.

This got me thinking about the millions of people who spend their lives seeking fame and fortune, not realizing they are on a road to hell. All the riches and fame on this earth are not worth eternity in hell.

The sacrifices we make in this life are worth it all when we see it, Jesus, and we enter into Heaven.

Sow Love

No matter how our physical bodies are, we can be sowing love into the lives of others. A text or email of encouragement and a reminder that God loves the recipient can be a ministry of love.

Do not forget to sow love in your own home. We can easily become frustrated with our mates, especially when we both are old and cranky. This is when we need to pray for God to help us.

Young children can be tiring and no matter how much we love them, we can become short-tempered with them. There are times we need to ask God and them for forgiveness and give them a big hug.

Let us pray that God will help us sow love every day.

Happy Tuesday,

God’s protection

“Promise #199:
I will blanket My protection over all who trust in Me.

But let all those who take refuge in you rejoice,
Let them always shout for joy, because you defend them. 
Let them also who love your name be joyful in you.”

We are surrounded by the protection of God in this world and in Heaven. There is no need to fear, for we can be secure in the arms of God. We are sometimes hit with unexpected tragedies, financial difficulties, and health issues. Yet remind ourselves that God has not abandoned nor forsaken us.

Trust in God in all circumstances. Praise His Name even when we walk down hard uncharted roads. Remember our future is in Heaven. Where there will be more joy than we can imagine.

The Word Becomes Flesh
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

As long as we live on this earth, we can not comprehend the sacrifice Jesus made in leaving Heaven to live on earth. Even if we picture a person living on a mountain in a mansion with an ocean view and then downsizing to a one-room shack in the sticks, we could not comprehend the sacrifice that the Lord Jesus made to pay for the redemption of mankind.

Sadly millions and millions of people choose their own selfish desires over salvation and eternity in Heaven.

Living in the Blessed Hope

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.”

Every day we should live in the blessed hope of the rapture. We cannot control what will happen in our lives but we can choose to have hope knowing that the God who saved us from our sins, is coming for us soon.

Knowing the rapture is a real event and that Jesus is indeed coming for His children, gives us hope to survive each trial and burden. Because we have hope we can continue onward for God.

Paul said for us to comfort ourselves and others with the knowledge that the Scripture is true. The rapture is not a pipe dream, but a sincere promise from God.

We long for the coming of the Lord, when will be physically in His presence. When we will know Him, fully as we cannot on this earth! Our hopes and dreams are in Him.

So many things on this earth we cannot understand. One day the unknown will be made known to us. We will know why God allowed us to go through suffering. We will understand the path He put us on.

Until that day, trust in God. Worship and praise God every day and rejoice in His presence.

Sure-Footed

Yahweh, the Lord, is my strength. 
He makes my feet like deer’s feet, 
and enables me to go in high places.”

It is important that we be sure-footed in our Christian walk. The devil would like to make us wander from a faithful walk into a path of confusion and doubts.

The longer the devil can keep us walking in confusion and doubts the less contributions we can make to the Kingdom of God. We can get caught up in our own desires and less concerned about God’s will. If we are not careful we can find ourselves choosing to camp out in selfishness and seeking our own desires.

This is not the time to live for self. This is the time to choose to live for God. We need to have a desire to make God happy. No one ever said that the Christian life would be easy. Yet too many of us are more concerned about self-comfort than pleasing our Savior.

I saw a race on television news where the runner that was ahead of everyone tripped and lost the race. That was sad to watch. Yet, how more sad it is for the one who has lived victoriously for God for most of their lives to only turn away from God at the end of their lives. To turn away from God to be misled by the devil and his minions.

The closer we get to the end of the Church age the stronger the attacks the devil will use to discourage believers or to lead them astray. How sad it is to hear someone say: “I used to believe the Bible was correct about this subject, but now I have changed my mind.”

The reality God has not changed His mind, nor will He ever. People change their minds to fit in with the crowd's opinions. God has never called us to fit in with the beliefs of the crowds. Jesus warned us that He was hated and so will we be.

We must decide if we will follow the truths of the world or the truth of the Gospel. In the end, God will judge all.

Happy Wednesday.

How Firmly We Believe!”

We do not run life’s journey at full speed from beginning to the end. We enter life unable to even walk and many times we end life’s journey barely able to walk.

We run individual races, depending on our calling. I believe one of the most important jobs in the Christian faith is Motherhood. God has entrusted Mothers with the job of bringing up children from their birth.

The most important thing a mother can do is teach their children about God and to love God. When Mothers do that they are teaching their children the way to Heaven. They are also teaching their children to have faith in God to know that they can trust God through everything.

Life will bring challenges to our children. We do not know what our little ones will face. Installing a strong faith in God in them will help them in their spiritual walk with God.

Motherhood is often underrated on this earth, but not but by God. Teach our children to run their race with complete faith in God.

Victory, Ahead

Those who overcome will be made pillars in My temple forever.

He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he will go out from there no more. I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God, and my own new name.”

We can become so fixated on the problems of this world that we lose sight what is important. We forget how long eternity is compared to the time spent in a life time on this earth.

Let us seek God’s face when we feel over come by the stress of this life. He cares about us and wants to help us. We need not fear the future. God knows the future and He will be with us in the future.

When Words Fail Us

Sometimes when we are talking, we lose our train of thought, and just like that we go blank. This can happen even when praying. The Holy Spirit will intercede for us. He will speak for us.

Romans 8:22-27

22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. 24 For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.
26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. God does not want prayers of elegant words. God wants prayers from our hearts. He wants us to be honest with Him. God loves us and He wants us to deal with Him with a loving heart.

God Is With Us

Matthew 1:23

23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

Although Jesus went back to Heaven, He sent His Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit convicts sinners of their need for Christ and when the person accepts Jesus as their Savior, the Holy Spirit comes and lives inside of us.
He does not forsake or leave us.

This heat is unbearable and many people are feeling depressed and are beginning to wonder if God has forgotten His promise to come for us. We can rest in the knowledge that God is coming for us soon. As we live we should be looking for opportunities to share the Gospel with others and to pray for lost souls.

We can depend on the promises of God. He has not forgotten His promises to come and take us to Heaven. His promises are true and reliable.

Let Me Touch Jesus

I saw a joke on Facebook saying that you need Jesus to go to Walmart.
Truth is we need Jesus with us everyday and everywhere. Things can change in a heartbeat. We do not know what tomorrow holds.

Everyday is like a present. We do not know what is in it until we open it. Yet, we can live in peace, knowing that God knows the future.

We touch Jesus by taking the time to spend time in prayer with God and by reading the Bible. Take time to touch in with God before you begin the day.

In His Will

11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,

If we are honest with ourselves we will admit their are times we would override God’s will with our own. I admit if I could go back to Sept 1,2021, I would convince God if I could to heal my son on earth rather than in Heaven.

It is not just major issues that we would override God’s will if we could. In even little things we want our own way. We like having our own way. It doesn’t matter how many times our own will gets us into trouble, we are still tempted to want our own will.

Giving into God’s will is an act of surrender. We show our love for God by trusting that God knows best. A marriage can be a rocky road if both parties insist on having their way in everything.

Our life will go easier if we will be willing to trust God’s will in everything. This does not mean we will not have hard times, but God will be with us through the hard times. It is the fire that purifies the gold. We want to be purified before we go to Heaven, so we have nothing to be ashamed of.
God, help us live in Your will.

The Little Foxes

Her Brothers
15 Catch us the foxes,
The little foxes that spoil the vines,
For our vines have tender grapes.

Little sins can creep on us unexpectedly. I was reading my morning devotion today and the author wrote that his whole life he has lived near enough to see moving water.

Before I knew it I was feeling a little envy. I have always wanted to live near moving water. We lived on a very little river for one year and enjoyed it very much, but we were renting and it was not our own.

I asked God for forgiveness and let it go. Yet it reminded me that it is those little sins that creep into our hearts that often go unnoticed. This is why David prayed:

Psalm 139:23

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me, and know my anxieties;

We need to pray often that God will search our hearts and convict us of any little sins that can grow into big sins.

Help Me, God, To Be Acceptable In They Sight

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
Psalms 19:14

I wish I could say that the words that come out of my mouth and my thoughts were always holy, but I can't. Going to the Doctor, on Thursday, at two different times drivers cut me off.

Although I did not curse, I called them names and fussed at them in my car. They could not hear me, but I did not say nice things about them. Did I think about praying for them? Embarrassed to say:” No”.

We often lose our temper and allow reasoning to go out the window. We do not think about how God feels about our lack of control. At that moment we are selfishly thinking only of ourselves.

Psalm 19:14 should be our daily prayer and desire.

Firm Foundation

Build on the Rock
24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
26 “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”
28 And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching, 29 for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

It is important that our faith in Christ be established on the rock of our salvation. We cannot be established in Christ if our faith is wish-washy. Faith that comes and goes will not last through trials and tribulations.

We are so close to the rapture. How sad it would be to lose our way at this late in the game! We can not even imagine the heartache to come if we are left behind.

We must choose to build our spiritual house on the rock of Christ. We must choose to serve Him daily. There are many voices calling out to us to cause us to become discouraged, to lead us astray. We must choose to obey the Word of God and to serve Him and not seek to conform to this world.

Approach God With Confidence

Promise #219:
Through faith in Christ, you can boldly approach Me with confidence.

in whom we have boldness and access 
in confidence through our faith in him.

When we become children of God, we are given the ability to approach God with confidence. We no longer have to cower in fear. Even when we sin and feel ashamed we can come go God with out fear.

We do not have to live in fear for perfect love takes away fear. God loves us with perfect love which enables us to come to Him in confidence.

Because God loves us we should return love others. Just as God loves us in spite of our mistakes, we should love others even when they are not perfect.

Devoted To Prayer

Acts 2:42

In these days it is important to have a strong prayer life. We cannot survive these days with just a morning and bedtime prayer. We need to communicate with God throughout the day.

Prayer sustains and strengthen us. Even a quick prayer can keep us from allowing our temper to get us into trouble. We can pray for others in a quick prayer when we see someone else who is suffering or overwhelmed by their circumstances.

Having an attitude of prayer will help us stay observant of hidden dangers to ourselves and others. We will also see those around us and their needs. We should pray that God will help us have a continual and strong prayer life.
