I would put it this way endn. I would propose that each and every believer 'discover' whether they yet see through a glass darkly! For many already take for granted that they do, or take for granted that they already do.

Certainly as God, Jesus Christ did not need anything! He had all the glory and praise of heaven. With the Father and the Spirit, He reigned over the universe. But Philippians 2:6 states an amazing fact: He did not consider His equality with God as “something selfishly to be held on to.” Jesus did not think of Himself; He thought of others. His outlook (or attitude) was that of unselfish concern for others. This is “the mind of Christ,” an attitude that says, “I cannot keep my privileges for myself, I must use them for others.”
After all he had done for the passengers, Paul could well have requested a throne and insisted that everybody serve him on the Isle of Malta. Instead, he did his share of the work and helped gather fuel for the fire. No task is too small for the servant of God who has “the mind of Christ” (Phil. 2:1-13).

1 Corinthians 13:12
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
ALL Christians, including Michael Harrison, NOW see through a glass darkly and ONLY SEE IN PART.
But once we receive our glorified bodies, we shall know Him as He is, and we shall be known as we are, which is, LIKE HIM:
1 John 3:2
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, BUT it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.
But, until then...we see thru a glass darkly and in part, and that includes Michael Harrison.

When someone says something, knowing what they mean, and the one receiving it hears, do they hear what was said? Not necessarily. Very often someone says something and the hearer 'determines' something other than that which was stated. They hear something else. This is the very problem when the 'old man' is not truly dead. What comes in the ear is interpreted differently by him (and gives evidence that he is not truly dead). And this person, upon hearing is misguided, by his own person, not understanding that what was heard, was intercepted by the 'old man of unbelief', and improperly assimilated.
We say, based on the scripture, that we have the mind of Christ! Well we don't have the mind of Christ unless we understand Christ, the relationship, the way we are supposed to, and we deceive our very selves. That is why the seeking Christian seeks, of course. It is that he may know Him. But, when a believer 'obeys' the rules, then the 'old man' will die out of the way, and the person will truly know Christ, to some degree or another, but to a very great one.
But people don't 'obey' the rules for seeking. They mess it up somehow. Thereby they come up with something amiss, which is a mess, which they in turn force on others, to dominate "In His Name," as much as they are able. But that is evidence in itself. It is like the middle ages over again.
Nothing can help the one who insists upon clinging to his/her own self, and who applies scripture to justify his or her position, or take. They are a closed book, defending their security, they think, with the word. But justification is of the Lord, if one is so justified. It doesn't even have to be defended. ![[Cross]](graemlins/cross.gif)
