Dear friends,
Of all the trumpets that will be blown, there is one that is called "The Great Trumpet".
quote:
Isa 27:13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.
I'm studying this as if this is the trumpet that the Lord blows.

Dear friends,
Could it be that the trump of God is the Sixth Trump that makes us the army that wipes out the eighth beast? The Seleucid kingdom which emerged from the Grecian empire was a kingdom that supported Babylon before the writing of The Revelation.
So, after the Medes and Persians supported Babylon, Alexander, with the Greeks, defeated the Persians and supported Babylon. As the Greek Empire went four different ways (eventually, to resolve into two and become the Seleucid kingdom north of Jerusalem and the Ptolemaic kingdom south of Jerusalem), Babylon became the chief city of the Seleucid kingdom for a time.
Thus, the beast that comes out of the pit (the eighth beast), could be Greece.
However, it can NOT be Rome for Rome (if it were one of the seven heads of the beast), at the time of the writing of The Revelation, must have been the sixth and current head. The scripture is clear that the eighth beast is one of the heads that was and is not at the time of the writing of The Revelation.

Dear friends,
This is some of what I believe is the prophetic context of the "Trump of God" to which Paul referred in the apostolic writing.
quote:
Zec 9:12 ¶ Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee;
13 When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man.
14 And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord GOD shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.
15 The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar.
16 And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.
17 For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids.

Notice that Judah and Ephraim will work in unison as the sons of Zion fighting the sons of Greece (03120 Yavan yaw-vawn’).
quote:
Gen 10:4 And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
From the way that many tongues roll their 'r's, producing a kind of 'd' sound, the Dodanim are, also, called Rodanim in some margins of the Bible versions. This gives rise to the suspicion that the isle of Rhodes was the home of this last group of Grecian sons.
Resorting to the wildest of speculations, seeing that Greece is, in some way, the ancestor of democracy, could the conflict between the sons of Zion and the sons of Grecia be the conflict of disciples of Jesus vs. consensus of men?

Dear friends,
One of these looks like the trump of God I was asking about in the "Sixth Trumpet" topic.
That reference doesn't, actually, have a command with it. LORD God just does it.

Dear friends,
I just saw this interesting coincidence. There are seven trumpets in The Revelation, and, there are seven times that the command to "Blow the Trumpet" are given.
quote:
Jer 4:5 Declare ye in Judah, and publish in Jerusalem; and say, Blow ye the trumpet in the land: cry, gather together, and say, Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the defenced cities.
Joe 2:1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;
Jer 6:1 O ye children of Benjamin, gather yourselves to flee out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and set up a sign of fire in Bethhaccerem: for evil appeareth out of the north, and great destruction.
Jer 51:27 Set ye up a standard in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations, prepare the nations against her, call together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashchenaz; appoint a captain against her; cause the horses to come up as the rough caterpillers.
Eze 33:3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;
Joe 2:15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:
Zec 9:14 And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord GOD shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.

I think it's more than a coincidence. Little help, here?
