I don't seek retribution, just justice. A slug between the eyes is enough for me.
Back to the OP:
If what the OP reports is true then Mr. Johnson exercised very poor judgment. When one wants the privilege of public service, one must be prepare to sacrifice personal desire.
I don't care if Mr Johnson is a homosexual (he can't be a Sodomite because God made sure there wouldn't be any more of those!) I do care that he is not capable of better discretion and more sound judgment in light of his public authority. For that reason and that reason alone he should resign.

Titus:
There is deep seated ahborance to pedophilia and pedophiles in both Christian and non-Christian cultures in the 'Western' nations. I think its a bit of a stretch to think that pedophiles will ever gain any kind of social or legal acceptance let alone in the next 20 years. Just look at the mortality rate of pedophiles and other sex offenders who are incarcerated. Even other criminals abhor them and they are at the bottom of the food chain in the US prison system - for as long as they last there.
Normally, I'm solidly against the death-penalty, but in the case of sex offenders my current position is that once a person has been convicted of their first sex offense and judged by a panal of psychologists as being at risk for residivistic behavior, he or she should be summarily shot dead.

The pedophiles are just biding their time. Just as soon as the Sodomites get 'sexual orientation" as one of their 'inalienable rights' and Congress agrees and it becomes the law of the land, the pedophiles will then say that since their orientation happens to be six year old girls, they can no longer be arrested if they have sex with them because it is no longer illegal. Within 20 years I predict Michael Jackson will be publically praised and thought of as a visionary for the liberation of pedophiles the world over.

The children of Richmond Virginia are all part of a grand experiment.
There was a time when those in the education system were held to a high standard. An individual who lived a filthy double life would be thrown out as soon as his dirty deeds were made known. Not so today. Today, in our enlightened society, we just debate whether one who seeks to sodomize or to be sodomized by strangers, should remain as the Chairman of the School Board.
The Richmond School Board has failed our children on so many levels. As our sons and daughters grapple with the important questions of life and seek to understand what is true and right, those who have been entrusted with their education play politics. Steve Johnson, the Chairman of the School Board, admits to posting his shirtless photo on a sodomite dating website.
According to Jimmy Barrett of WRVA's Richmond's Morning News:
The web site, "may be described...as a male dating site, but it's much more than that! This is not e-harmony.com ya'll! This site is GRAPHIC! Filled with graphic nude photographs and even more graphic descriptions of sexual preferences. These people aren't asking about favorite movies and food! They're not trying to find you a "soul mate." It's PORN pure and simple. Compared to everything else on the site, Johnson's photo was no big deal, barechested is all. We didn't get a chance to read about his preferences before the ad was withdrawn, not that we want to know. What we really want to know is what is going to happen next? Should a school board member be allowed to continue when they show this kind of judgement...Especially when their job is to help chart the future of public school children?" Richmond's Morning News
Has Mr. Johnson been forced to resign from the School Board? Why is he still entrusted with the education of our children?
As I said, our children are all a part of a grand experiment. The goal of this experiment is to see how far one can go with the education of young children without being constrained with such matters as morality, values, propriety, and virtue.
The experiment has been successful in one point. This experiment has proven why homeschooling is such a good decision for parents who have concern for the well-being of their children.
