Hello fellow believers
Having studied the subject of finances in general over the past few years, I'd like to talk to some of you guys on Christians and money.
I hope to have an openhearted discussion with room for all points of views - and who knows - maybe some of us will end up wiser from reading through this thread
Things to be discussed could be (but not limited to):
* Is it right for Christians to strive for wealth? * Does God want His people to be rich? * What example did Jesus set? * Does the Bible provide guidelines on money management? * How come books and tapes with teaching on finances sells like hot cakes in Christian bookshops? * Why does that not seem to have much effect? * How about debts? Are they good, bad or either? * Should some of our income be set aside for investing - and in what? * What about tithes and offerings? * Could financial intelligence be a means of evangelism?
Whereas I obviously have my points of view - I'll keep them to myself for now - and enter this discussion with an open mind.
I hope to have stirred your interest up a bit - and PLEASE - let's have your input. Any point of view is welcome.
