Long time reader, first time poster here...
I was saved at a Baptist church, and went to a Baptist College... I am now traveling around the world. I've been on the road about 5 months, I expect to return home by Christmas.
I believe homosexuality is Unnatural Not the best place to raise children Against God's teachings in the bible
But.... I do believe the push to ammend the Constituation of the USA is a bad idea.
Christians are to be "The light of the world"... I can tell you from first hand experience traveling around the "world" that the US church is not seen in a positive light. There are issues like Iraq, healthcare, energy, taxes, natural disaters, disease, hunger (thousands die in Africa every day because of it), I could go on. Yet what issues does the Evangelical Church choose to focus on? Gay Marriage, Janet Jackson at the super bowl, the 10 commandments being posted in a court room....
Ammending the constitution is a serious matter and takes loads of time an money... time and money that could be spent elsewhere to adress people suffering and dying. It also builds a huge wall between evangelical Christians and a group of people who are in general, not Christians...
I'll start with that...
