On another Christian BB the members are writing the longest poem in internet history, and I thought it might be fun to try it here. Everyone is posting the next line or two or four, y'all just jump right in.
Would you like to write a poem?
Each person add a line....
We can really showem.....
Maybe even try to rhyme....

okay, here goes

I watched the sweet bright glow of dawn,

------------------
A servant of Christ,
Drew

Psalm 51:10
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Redeemed, be ready today, clothed in white robes, being holy and prepared for the day of our departure. As on God's creation I peer,
I remember Christ's last commission.
There's people who have yet to hear,
Heads filled with vain superstition.
There is One Who sets captives free
From the bondage of sin-
That yoke that weighs so heavily
Upon the sons of men.

There is ONE who walks
Sin darkened halls
Bringing hope to the hopeless
Our dear Savior who calls.
The bars of the prison,
No match for HIS might,
Sets free all the captives,
Fleeing darkness to LIGHT.

The shackles all broken,
Chains rended in twain,
With healing in His wings,
Balming sickness and pain.

I looked around me , on this board
And what I saw, a lot of discord
If we would but call upon our Lord
Then He will answer, "Use your Sword".
The sword is the book ,not a knife
If it is read, it produces life
If you want to really succeed
The King James bible is all you need.

One day soon a trump will sound,
And the dead in Christ will rise,
And we which are alive and remain,
Will join the Bridegroom in the skies.
The glorious marriage in Heaven,
The Bride united with the Lord,
His precious ones He's gathered,
All singing praises in one accord.

Following the tribulation,
After the prophecies they fulfill,
The moon and the sun are darkened,
Then sounds a mighty trumpet’s trill.

The sign of the Son in Heaven,
All tribes of the earth shall mourn,
He descends in clouds of glory,
That precious Advent morn.

The devils doom is coming
his days are running short
His sentence has been written
He had his day in court.

Down to the pit ,ye liar

you've done enough deceiving
Now into the place of coals.

So cast your care upon Him

Nj and caretaker
Will also bow the knee.

Tazman has entered God's heaven
And Art barely walks in
The blood availeth for Ahma
For we all were dead in sin.

So praise the Lord ye boneheads
Clean the dust from your eyes
Watch for the coming saviour
Caught up with him in the skies.

Preach the gospel to all men
And even to women too
For the days soon are coming
When the judge of earth is due.

What will you plead dear sinner
Your merit or His blood
If ye turn not to Jesus
Then your name is but Mud.

Now Kindgo is a watcher
And Doing what she can
She preaches the word of Jesus
To each and every man.

And His church's cornerstone.
He was there before creation
When God chose me for His own.
Christ gave an invitation,
Which He still extends today
To every tribe and nation.
Accept now, without delay.

May we flourish like a palm tree
And like a cedar of Lebanon grow;
Living godly and righteously,
Roots growing deep from living-water's flow.
I want to trust not in my own flesh
And be by God accursed;
Rather, bear fruit that's sweet and fresh
And not be parched from thirst.

Amen and Amen Sojourn friend
We must not let our ode to end
Even when we are old and gray
To stop this poem, we say "nay".
1000 years have come and gone
And were still posting, not yet done
Another 200 verses, we must do
And after that we say "whew".

With His righteousness and glee,

He answers each petition,
Our most fervent prayer,
Drawing us near and holding close,
Providing His rest from daily wear.

On and on with the Lord
He has won with the Sword
This sword cuts deep within
It found us out, deep in sin.
The sword is the Word of God
Wonderful book, it gets my nod
For if indeed I read it not
I'd be in hell, Oh so hot.

So we went to Calvary
It was there He set me free
Shed his blood for you and me
Oh what love there on the tree.

Now in heaven I'm looking "round
There is Sojourn, safe and sound
Heh, there,s Caretaker sitting there
And there is Kindgo in a chair.

Wow , there's Tazman singing a tune
And there's NJ snoozing at noon
And there's Artbook Typing more Rhymes
Wake up Artbook, check the times.

You are now in heaven, the poem must end
All new things now to comprehend
Eternal beauties on every look
All that was suggested in the Book.

The book is called the Holy Bible
It stands alone without a rival
So when a man tampers with His Sword
"I will judge you,"Saith the Lord.

So my dear, what good timing
To call on me for some rhyming
I have a few silly odes
Here they go in artbook mode.
I love me ,I think I'm grand
I sit in movies and I hold my hand
I put my hand around my waist
And if I get fresh, I slap my face.

Just kidding ,today in Pc land
I love me not, I am not grand
I am only a sinner saved by grace
Waiting to see His Beloved Face.

On the day I see his face what a great joy it will be
When my Savior I shall see!

On another Christian BB the members are writing the longest poem in internet history, and I thought it might be fun to try it here. Everyone is posting the next line or two or four, y'all just jump right in.
Would you like to write a poem?
Each person add a line....
We can really showem.....
Maybe even try to rhyme....

okay, here goes

I watched the sweet bright glow of dawn,

------------------
A servant of Christ,
Drew

Psalm 51:10
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Redeemed, be ready today, clothed in white robes, being holy and prepared for the day of our departure. As on God's creation I peer,
I remember Christ's last commission.
There's people who have yet to hear,
Heads filled with vain superstition.
There is One Who sets captives free
From the bondage of sin-
That yoke that weighs so heavily
Upon the sons of men.

There is ONE who walks
Sin darkened halls
Bringing hope to the hopeless
Our dear Savior who calls.
The bars of the prison,
No match for HIS might,
Sets free all the captives,
Fleeing darkness to LIGHT.

The shackles all broken,
Chains rended in twain,
With healing in His wings,
Balming sickness and pain.

I looked around me , on this board
And what I saw, a lot of discord
If we would but call upon our Lord
Then He will answer, "Use your Sword".
The sword is the book ,not a knife
If it is read, it produces life
If you want to really succeed
The King James bible is all you need.

One day soon a trump will sound,
And the dead in Christ will rise,
And we which are alive and remain,
Will join the Bridegroom in the skies.
The glorious marriage in Heaven,
The Bride united with the Lord,
His precious ones He's gathered,
All singing praises in one accord.

Following the tribulation,
After the prophecies they fulfill,
The moon and the sun are darkened,
Then sounds a mighty trumpet’s trill.

The sign of the Son in Heaven,
All tribes of the earth shall mourn,
He descends in clouds of glory,
That precious Advent morn.

The devils doom is coming
his days are running short
His sentence has been written
He had his day in court.

Down to the pit ,ye liar

you've done enough deceiving
Now into the place of coals.

To every human need
So cast your care upon Him

Nj and caretaker
Will also bow the knee.

Tazman has entered God's heaven
And Art barely walks in
The blood availeth for Ahma
For we all were dead in sin.

So praise the Lord ye boneheads
Clean the dust from your eyes
Watch for the coming saviour
Caught up with him in the skies.

Preach the gospel to all men
And even to women too
For the days soon are coming
When the judge of earth is due.

What will you plead dear sinner
Your merit or His blood
If ye turn not to Jesus
Then your name is but Mud.

Now Kindgo is a watcher
And Doing what she can
She preaches the word of Jesus
To each and every man.

And His church's cornerstone.
He was there before creation
When God chose me for His own.
Christ gave an invitation,
Which He still extends today
To every tribe and nation.
Accept now, without delay.

May we flourish like a palm tree
And like a cedar of Lebanon grow;
Living godly and righteously,
Roots growing deep from living-water's flow.
I want to trust not in my own flesh
And be by God accursed;
Rather, bear fruit that's sweet and fresh
And not be parched from thirst.

Amen and Amen Sojourn friend
We must not let our ode to end
Even when we are old and gray
To stop this poem, we say "nay".
1000 years have come and gone
And were still posting, not yet done
Another 200 verses, we must do
And after that we say "whew".

With His righteousness and glee,
He draws us to His alter,
As we kneel on bended knee.
He answers each petition,
Our most fervent prayer,
Drawing us near and holding close,
Providing His rest from daily wear.

On and on with the Lord
He has won with the Sword
This sword cuts deep within
It found us out, deep in sin.
The sword is the Word of God
Wonderful book, it gets my nod
For if indeed I read it not
I'd be in hell, Oh so hot.

So we went to Calvary
It was there He set me free
Shed his blood for you and me
Oh what love there on the tree.

Now in heaven I'm looking "round
There is Sojourn, safe and sound
Heh, there,s Caretaker sitting there
And there is Kindgo in a chair.

Wow , there's Tazman singing a tune
And there's NJ snoozing at noon
And there's Artbook Typing more Rhymes
Wake up Artbook, check the times.

You are now in heaven, the poem must end
All new things now to comprehend
Eternal beauties on every look
All that was suggested in the Book.

The book is called the Holy Bible
It stands alone without a rival
So when a man tampers with His Sword
"I will judge you,"Saith the Lord.

So my dear, what good timing
To call on me for some rhyming
I have a few silly odes
Here they go in artbook mode.
I love me ,I think I'm grand
I sit in movies and I hold my hand
I put my hand around my waist
And if I get fresh, I slap my face.

Just kidding ,today in Pc land
I love me not, I am not grand
I am only a sinner saved by grace
Waiting to see His Beloved Face.
