Steven,
Every time your room mate says a curse word, say a word of Praise to God in your head. Have your tried asking him to refrain. My son's room mate has the same problem. When I am there and he uses profanity. I ask him in a calm voice please do not use that kind of language in front of me, because it hurts my ears. Good luck.
My son's room mate is getting better at least around me. [Smile]

Luk 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Steven, just remember that swearing is a symptom of unhappiness... Eric is subconsciously trying to be tough despite his emptiness. He may need his hiney kicked... but he needs some understanding too.

Potty-mouth hitting your ears is nothing compared to what our Lord had done to him when He gave himself at Calvary. You can take it. And your standing firm even in the face of his Eric's onslaught will send a message to him, that he needs. If his verbal onslaught is directed at you in a threatening way, there are other avenues of action besides shutting him up with a knuckle sandwich.

Someone wiser than me once said, "Every man has a hole in himself, that only God can fill." Eric is discovering his empty hole... and you have been chosen to aid in God's plan for him. Feel honored. And yes, pray for Eric's daily judgment to change regarding his tongue--but know it will be for a higher purpose.

Strange, but the toughest thing about being surrounded with non-Christians, is the bad language.

Steven,I will pray that you can control your anger, and that prayer will soften Eric's attitude. [Prayer]

dear Family

I am listening to cursing swearing language and it's driving me up a wall.My only feeling is to blast him in two. Please pray my anger is nailed to the cross and that Eric Ramos gets tired of his attitude and that Jesus can speak words that will reach him.

this add on is being applied on March 11 2005 i have spoken to Eric today and we have an understanding yet contimue to pray we have a friendship. Please claim the prayer of jabez and philippians 1:3-4,9-11 naming his name first then steven.
