Lord comfort this family and send this widow a special blessing as she greaves the loss of her husband of 58 years. Lift her up Lord in the miracle of our blessed hope, which is the loving grace, and promise of everlasting life in Jesus our Saviour. In Jesus Name Amen.

Father God, please bring comfort and peace to Dan's family. Especially we hold up Susan's mother. Father most of us cant imagine her loss as she finds herself without her beloved husband and friend of 58 years. Please Father wrap her in your arms and let her not feel alone. Give her peace and help her to go on and enjoy fullness of life that is Hers in Christ Jesus. May her every day be filled with glad memories and thanksgiving until the day that you take her home too. Father let this family find joy and thankfullness in their memories and comfort and peace and even rejoicing in knowing that the one they love and miss so much is not gone, but simply moved away to a better place where they will one day join him again and worship with him before the throne. Give them rest and comfort in knowing that he is now with you and without pain and suffering, let them know just a portion of the glorius joy that he has now and let that be a comfort as they press on in the days ahead.
Thank you Father, for it is in Jesus Name we pray and give thanks. Amen!

Saturday evening, my father-in-law passed away after a year's battle with colon cancer. It was not detected until it was far advanced, and the family is in deep grief. He held on until the last grandchild got home and said good-bye. He and Mom have been married 58 years.
