I am so glad that helped. I am also glad to hear about your wonderful prayer time. I will continue to pray for your bank and car situations, but I thankful to hear that you are feeling better. Praise & Glory to the Father! [clap2]

Linda!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!! I downloaded the spy sweeper. It had a mess to take care of. I found many many spyware files in my computer. The funny thing is that the istbar is pornographic and because we have a pop stopper we were not seeing the pop ups. But I guess all along they have been popping up. A friend told me that we possibly got the spyware from a site we visit often, but is not an adult web site. (That is a good thing, we don't surf those sites here!)

Also, I spent some time on my knees today. Something I have not done in a long time. How humbling it is to get on your knees and seek Him. I often pray sitting at the table, the computer, or "in" bed at night, but hardly ever do I put my knees on the floor and pray. Thank you Lord for putting me on my knees, I need to be like that more often.

Again, big thanks Linda...You are wonderful!!

Hey Barry: I just wanted to thank you for your message about the heat and the lead. It was exactly what I needed to hear. You know I have been struggling with recent events and my oldest daughter's situation. I have been all week at her apartment packing her things for storage. I have not stood very well this past week on the things that I know to be true. It has affected my walk, my prayer and my worship as I have been beating myself up for being angry at HIM and questioning HIM, when all the while I KNOW his will and HIS way are PERFECT.

I think He has been surely bringing some dross to the surface in me. I can accept that. I needed to see that to move on past my anger with myself over my shamesful response to the events in my life as of recent.

Your story coupled with a word the other day from my beloved sister Deb, and re-enforcement of her exact words to me by my pastor's message on Sunday, were the exact completion of what I needed to hear. I too, like Sky am listening! Thank you Father for speaking a word to Barry that was also meant for my ears and Sky's. And thank you Barry for obedience to post it!

God is so good! How wonderful and faithful HE is to give us what we need, when we need it and How blessed we are that He choses to use US to do HIS work inthe lives of those around us. Am am once again humbled and Awed at His glorious majesty!

PS: I am going to mail that story to Helena. I am sure there is something there for her too! God bless you Barry! [Kiss]

Hi Sky:

Well my virus software has nothing on this thing that you have. Infact, the only thing I could even find on it was from Micro Tends the people who make PC-cillin.

The removal looks pretty simple though and you can use their free online scan to identify the infected files. Then you can write them down or better yet open a word document and capture the screen print listing... you can take a picture of any window open on your computer by hitting ctrl and screen print at the same time. That will give you a picture of the open window and you can paste it in word and print it.

How ever you copy the list of files from the free scan then removal is pretty simple and step by step instructions can be found here:

http://www.trendmicro.com/vinfo/virusencyclo/default5.asp?VName=TROJ_ISTBAR.K

You will have to make 2 edits to the Windows reistry which is the only dangerous thing involved and as long as you very carefully locate exactly and only those files and delete ONLY those entries in the windows registry you should have no problems.

Also if you are running XP make sure you turn off System Restore or it wont let you change the registry.

If you want I would be willing to PM you my ohone number and walk through this with you if you want and if you can be on the computer and the phone at the same time.

But one thing I noticed as this virus really seems to be benign other than creating Pop-ups on your computer when you visit certain websites. It does not appear to be destructive to your system... it is really something called adware.

You might try an Adware program and see if that will catch and remove it first. I have a free program called "Spy Sweeper" it removes adware and I like it because I can turn it off and only use it when I start getting pop-ups because I picked up spyware from somewhere I visted.

You can get a free trial copy here:

http://www.webroot.com/wb/downloads/index.php

Maybe try that and see if it solves your problem. If it doesnt; then you can use the above method to remove it and like I said, I will be glad to walk through it with you one the phone.

Aparently this thing youhave is a variation of adware called Istbar. Here is what Norton says about Istbar:

http://sarc.com/avcenter/venc/data/adware.istbar.html

I hope there is something here to help you.

I had to come back and add a few things.

1) Jim (hubby) called me this morning...we do this a lot... he says " I now know what T.G.I.F. means." I say off handish, "yeah" and he says, "Thank God I am Forgiven" I say, "yeah, haven't you heard this before?" "no, never seen it before, was on a billboard"

Was God speaking to us, me, him??

Then
2) This morning a friend called, Bridgett, he hubby is in the national guard, called to Virginia for a year. This morning his step mother passed away. They are trying to get him home for the funeral Saturday. (I am sure most of you know the hassle that comes with that) Anyway, while we are talking she tells me of the scripture that her hubby shared with her last night on the phone. 1 Corinthians 13:4-6. I know that this sounds familiar to me, so I look it up... love.... love is what I found.

At the same time: (I am a multitasking junkie)

3) I am reading the posts put here by Linda and Barry. Okay, Lord, I am listening.

Think He was trying to get my attention? I do.. so excuse me all, I think I need to spend some time with My Lord.

In His wonderous love,
Sky [dance]

Wow. Linda thank you so much for the advice. Our pastor is aware of the problems. We are not totally without a vehicle. We have a van, old and rusty that can take Jim back and forth to work. I am without a vehicle, but we have survived that before. We have overdraft protection at our bank. We do have to pay for that protection to the tune of $120. We have fixed the problem but it is making us really have to stretch our budget in getting the needed things to make it through the next two weeks. Although the cupboard is not bare, it is close. My trojan horse is called troj_istbar.k. I have researched it and it has to be manually removed. In doing that, I could make my computer a doorstop if it is not done properly. If you can find a fix that is not manual, I am all ears. I am no longer in dispair. I know that God has and will take care of me. I am just tired of the constant rocking of my boat. (lol)
Barry... dear sweet Barry.... you made me cry. But in my crying I found love. Your analogy was wonderful. I am growing, I know that I am. There are so many things that I want to change in my life. I am just not sure that I have (yet) all the tools. I am trying so hard to allow God to be in contol of my life.

I am taking a marriage class by Dr. Kevin Leman, have taken his class on Making Children Mind without Losing Yours. I learned something very funny.... I am the oldest child, the oldest of 3- 4(I have a step brother) and the only girl. I am strong willed and controlling. I know this and am trying to work through this. In otherwords, what if I give it to God and He doesn't do it right. (I don't believe this in my heart.. but my head seems to!)
Thank you both for your kind words and advice. I feel so blessed to have everyone here at BBS to help me when I am falling.

In His wonderous love,
Sky

Amen Linda..

Sky were praying too [Smile]

Like Linda said Sky;

Keep your eyes on HIM... Sounds sometime like:
(Thats easy for everyone else to say) but it is so true...

We were going through some rough times. i was out in the shed melting lead for some black powder bullets. ( i use to hunt a lot).

As i was watching the lead melt, hotter and hotter it got, then the dross or trash came to the top and i scooped it off and poured the pure lead into moulds.

God grabbed my heart and told me...Son do you see that dross you scooped from the lead....(im listening) Look at the other unused lead..Can you see the impurities in it? (im thinking no)

God spoke to my heart again, surely you cant its mixed in the lead, so when you heat it all the impurities come to the top, and are easily seen and removed!

God spoke again, it is the same with my children, I allow the heat to be turned up to let you see what is inside you, and once the pressure (heat) is hot enought the impurities in you are easily seen and can be removed....

What a lesson that was...not that it makes it any less painful, under pressure...BUT it lets us know that HE is in control and will guide us through and something beautiful and more pure will come out the other side....

Like gold refind in the refiners furnace..PURE when finished...Amen

Look unto HIM the Author and FInisher of your Faith..

Linda gave some Godly advice Wonderful_Sky....

in Him

Hi Sky:

I am sorry to hear of your troubles and I will certainly pray for your situation.

Advice:

1. Tell us what your van is and what the problem is, someone might be led to help. Also tell your pastor. I know about your church, but our church has a special fund for thing like this or someone in your congregation might have a car they want to give. When my van lost its transmission, out chruch gave us a old boat of a stationwagon that someone gave the church. It got us through till God allowed us to buy a new VW for a steal of a price. We just gave that old stationwagon to a woman with 5 kids and a husband in jail. You would have thought we bought her a brand new car! That old stationwagon blessed us coming and going... you just never know what God will lead someone to do until you make your requests and needs known.

2. Call your bank and talk to the person who handles the checks being processed. Tell her what happened and ask if she can help. Banks will often waive the charges and maybe they can give you a temporary overdraft line of credit for the moment. Ask even if you think they wont because often banks will do something like that in an emergency situation that they wouldnt do ordinarilly. Our bank once did that for us, because my husband's expense check didnt come and I was in a pickle. They granted and overdraft line of credit equal to an amount that they had turned us down for on a loan request previously.

3. Do you have antivirus software? If not PM me your email, I think I have a fix for trojans that will run as an independent application.

4. My experience in dealing with overwhelming stress is that you need to take your eyes off yourself and put them on HIM. You can do only what you can do, then youjust have to hand it over and say, I cant do this... you are going to have to do it for me. Then you hand it over period, and you moved on. Put your eyes and ears and mind on him, when you start to worry, turn your attention to him, buy studying the word or doing something for someone else, but do not allow yourself to focus on your worries.

4. Recognize that dispair is a spiritual attack. Put on your armor; take your eyes off of you; look for a way to sow into someone else; there is always something you can do; bake a cake for someone, send a card, read to a shut in or visit a shut in... anything to take your mind off of self, sow HIS peace, provision, love in someone else. We reap what we sow, so go out and sow something positive. God will take care of you! You take care of someone else in HIS name. I promise you dispair will leave.

Father God: We lift our sister Sky up to you and we ask that you bring comfort and peace to her in this time of trouble. We ask you to give her favor at the bank and we ask you to bring someone to her that can help with her car situation. We thank you Father God for we know that all things work together for good to them that love you, to them who are the called according to your purpose. In Jesus name we pray. Amen!

I sometimes feel that when it rains it pours around here. Last night on my husbands way home for work our van that we just spent money repairing broke down yet again. This time it is unrepairable without putting lots of money into it. We just spent money right before Christmas getting it repaired and cannot do that again. I discovered this morning that I have a trojan horse on my computer, generated by a pop up from a web site I had recently visited. I also found today that because of a mistake in our checkbook we have overdrawn our checking account. Something that I can really not afford to fix right now. I keep telling myself to Be At Peace. But I am finding it really hard to be at peace when my stress is off the charts! Why do these things keep happening??? I have tried to trust God to take care of these things but it seems that I am drowning. What am I to do now? I am in utter dispair. I want so to trust in God to take care of all this, but I feel so overwhelmed. Someone please help! I am desperate for advice and prayer.
Thanks you so much,
Sky
