I am sorry that your Church has not done a Study on Revelations. Our Pastor in Texas did two studies at the Baptist Church. Our Pastor at the Assembly of God Church in Texas did a study on it and our Sunday School teacher here in Washington is teaching a class on it now. At another Church we attended when we first moved here, someone asked the Pastor to do a study on the book of Revelations and he refused. We left the Church.
Go to your library and look for books by Pastor John Hagee and non fiction books by the writers of the left behind series. I found them very enlightening

God bless you,

I thought what happened was Satan was released 1,000 years after Adam and Eve, and this was when the great flood and Noah happened. I didn't know it meant after the rapture. I envisioned people already getitng the mark etc, and then it happening again soon.

Are there any videos or picture slideshows with the book of Revelations? I learn so much better with visuals, espeically movies and it would help so much.

My fiancee made a good point that he's never noticed churches discuss this book and hte End times nor his Christian college he went to. I feel maybe people fear scaring new or potential Christians. I'd like a whole study just on that at a church personally.

Betty,

I wasn't mocking you [Smile] I was askign why some belive this or not. I get so confused iwth Revelations.

MySavingGrace,
After the tribulation, there will be a 1000 year reign of Christ on the new earth, after which Satan will be released from the pit for a time. After his time is done, God will lock him up in hell for eternity, and eternal life will continue on.
I use to study prophecy as well (it has been a long time, so I may be a little rusty, but the basics I remember). However, my beliefs align with the Left Behind Series. I am not saying I believe it will be exactly like the books. We don't know and there is no way that we can know, but I believe that they have the gist of it correct.
In Christ,
Christie

After prayer and 4 separate studies on the end times, I am convinced in my heart that the rapture is going to be pre-trib. This is something I pray for every day that the rapture be soon. I make no apologies for this because the Bible said for us to look with hope for the rapture.

I am saying I still have hope peopel like my parents will find God and go to Heaven. there are others like this too. As I said, I owuld go to Hell for them to go to Heaven I love them that much. My Dad esepcially has been thorugh so much pain etc, I don't want him in more.

It is not me not leaving this earth, but others. I also feel it is a comforting htought to feel we will be lifted away before it happens, but I feel it may not be the case. I'd like to have that comfort, and its not distrust in God, but that it will be a long, hard fight.

And, maybe REvelations confuses me. I've read it over and over and I sitll don't get it [Frown]

The 144,000 stay on EArth I know, but then will all life cease to exist or will their bloodline carry on and that won't be the ultimate end of human life?

The Church is the Bride of Christ. What Bride does not look forward to her Wedding Day? Would one not wonder about a marriage if the Bride said "Getting married to him,one of these days, but in not in any hurry!? Surely this marriage is doomed before it begans.
The Bible is filled with verses telling us to look with hope for the rapture. I can't help but wonder about anyone who is not looking forward to the return of our Loving and Blessed Jesus Christ our Lord. Yes, we should work while we are here, but at the same time there should be a longing to be with Jesus.
I have noticed my dear Sister, that you have problems with the soon return of Jesus. Could it be that you are not willing to let go of the world, enough to be with Jesus? If the rapture happened today, would you be like Lot's wife and turn back longingly for earth? I mean you no disrespect, but you must make sure your heart is ready for when the rapture comes. You do not want to be left behind. This earth does not hold a candle to the beauty of Heaven.
betty

The Church's job is not to fight against the anti-Christ. We will not be here to do so. The tribulation will be time of the Jews not the Church.

Why are people hoping the rapture happens soon?

Is it to avoid the Hell upon Earth?

Also, who belives we will be lifted prerapture and who belives post or during it?

I feel to me its most likely I"ll be lifted up after cause wouldn't God want his soldiers to fight as long as possible?

Also, there are people who are not destined for Heaven and I still have hope some will be, if it happens too soon, then they go to Hell and these are people I love. I would honestly trade spots and go to Hell for them to go to Heaven and there are more like this too.
