In 2 Peter 3:9-14 we are challenged to endure though it may be a long time before some of these prophecies are fulfilled. We are told to: have holy conduct and godliness, look for and hasten the coming of the Day of God, look for a new heaven and new earth, to be forward looking, diligent, in peace, without spot and blameless.

So many people today listen to tv evangelists like Jack Van Impe and Hal Lindsey who espouse the pre-trib theory of rapture and many ordinary pastors share this belief. My question is since no one can definetly state which rapture theory will ultimately be the actual one, what will happen to the faith of the people who are so counting on the pre-trib theory? Shouldn't we be preparing the people to go through the tribulation instead?
