Topic: The missed significance of end time events

The Bible says people will be marrying and being given in marriage up to the day it all comes crashing down.
That really spoke to my heart.
That there are things going on around us even now that we are too in tune with the world or with self to even realize and are oblivious to.
For example.
Israel was not a standing nation for over 2500 years until 1948. Even in Jesus' day it was a possession of yet another empire (even the Maccabean period was under the specter of overlords).
The city of Jerusalem was not an Israeli possession for nearly as long. Temple Mount was kaput for 1900+ years. And since the 1990's there have been attempts to lay the cornerstone of the temple (which the John Ankerberg Show declared was the true reason for Gulf War I).
The global governance is in greater place and at more ease than ever before. To the point of being brazen.
