I'm asking that question too Betty Things are not always what they 'appear' or claim to be. But God knows the truth.
May God have Mercy on HIS Children who are in America! If America continues on this 'roadmap to destruction' this nation will suffer Tremendously!

I do agree with you that it is a mistake to go along with Isral on divinding Jersualem. Sadly, I think our Presdient and others are actually forcing them to do so. Which is a great sin! I honestly wonder how the President who is suppose to be a Christian can support this action!

quote: OK, two separate questions for those who can answer:
I know that we're supposed to stand with israel. What if the state of Israel agrees to split it's land with palestinians. would this cause armageddon? I'm wondering because palestinians and israelis used to share israel peacefully.
Second, like all governments, i'd assume israel's is subject to corruption. would a corrupt government in israel still be god's israel? Not saying it is now, but Sharon isn't going to be in power forever.
Excellent questions! We are suppose to support Israel in the spirit of love with prayers for peace, but we are not and cannot be expected to blindly support Israel when they go against God's everlasting, eternal covenants. And the covenenant God made for the land of Israel is just that...everlasting. There will always be a price to pay for going against the covenants of God...especially when it comes to the dividing of Israel. Yes, an unbelieving, corrupt Israel is still recognized by God because of His eternal covenant with Abraham...even if the rest of the world does not honor the boundaries that God has established nor recognize it as His land.
Joel 3:1-2 1“For behold, in those days and at that time, When I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, 2I will gather all the nations And bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; And they have divided up My land.
Scripture makes it clear that not all Jews are Jews in God's eyes. As Jesus told the Pharisees, if they do not know Him, then they do not know the Father. And without Jesus they will still die in their sins. For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile. That being said, I know God has promised a final spiritual restoration in the last days to the Jews, but we should not lose site of the fact that most are still unbelievers in Jesus Christ and not blindly support them because the are "Jews." We must continuously focus and align our support on the Word of God first and foremost!
Romans 2:28-29 28For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh. 29But he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that which is of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter; and his praise is not from men, but from God.
Romans 10:12-13 12For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; 13for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
2 Corinthians 6:14-18 14Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? 15Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? 16Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them; And I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 17“Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate,” says the Lord. “And do not touch what is unclean; And I will welcome you. 18“And I will be a father to you, And you shall be sons and daughters to Me,” Says the Lord Almighty.

I'm not sure but the nations involved in that battle may use the excuse of WMD (popular reasons these days) to go to war with Israel...But it will turn out to be their biggest mistake.

I believe that we should stand with Israel. Is Israel perfect? NO, but then neither is America. Is Israel still God's people even if they become corrupt? Yes. God often punished Israel in the Old Testament but they were still His people and after a time, He would forgive them and bring them home. I believe the time of the Gentiles is coming to a end. After the rapture of the Church, God will again turn His eyes to His chosen people and bring them again to Himself.
With this peace agrement being signed, I am reminded of the Bible saying when they say peace, peace, to watch out. I believe that rapture is coming soon!

I am simply amazed at the amount of prophecy news coming out these days. The middle east is really heating up as we are told to watch for. What will happen next?
Israel, Iran, Syria...WOW! It's going to be an interesting year for sure. Keep your eyes on the sky! Maranatha!
God bless and stay strong.
