We are doing a verse by verse study of Luke in my church, and yesterday was on the apocalyptic discourse. During the sermon/study, our pastor stopped to share a couple of facts he had researched about the state of the world. These two stuck with me.
-Since the reformation of Israel as a nation in 1948 there has not been one single day in the world without a war being fought somewhere. This is unprecedented.
-In the past century more Christians have been murdered for their faith than all other centuries combined since Christ ascended.
The breaks between birthing contractions sure seem to be getting smaller, eh?
