The European Union Presidency, once rotated every six months by each of the member states / countries, will be occupied for the first time by the "Super President" position - To be elected in 2006.

The New EU constitution, which has voted for and completely removed ALL references to Christianity, has approved this new Super Position and the elected official will preside for a period of 5 years.

It also declares that this Super President cannot be opposed by anyone.

The EU IS the risen Roman Empire....

The Bible speaks VERY CLEARLY about THIS generation and the problems we are facing in the world today.

The war in Iraq, 911, increased terrorist attack threats in the U.S. and around the world, all foretold, and through it all the Bible gives us hope for the future!

I believe it is ABSOLUTELY critical that we fully understand what the Bible says about your future!

We ALL can find security in knowing our future is all planned! God has it ALL under control. It’s all in His BIG PICTURE! He knows and has shown us our future; Our life was completely laid out before we were ever born.

While you may not choose to believe it, God's Word is the information we need to stay on the cutting edge of today’s society. It maintains a fresh point of view and a fantastic perspective on the world and EACH AND EVERY EVENT we see happening in the news everyday.

A period in time and history unlike anything ever before . It will be a time of MANY TROUBLES:

Wars and Terrorism

Plagues and Famines

MANY Natural disasters and Earthquakes in places never before seen

Disease and Violence on an unimaginable scale
and SO MUCH MORE!

When you look closely, you can easily see that only now is it truly evident that this is the world in which we live today.

Remember what 2nd Timothy says from above -“There will be terrible times in the last days.”

In fact, the Bible talks about the “End Times” quite a bit. Detractors will have you believe that it is not discussed much, but Paul on his deathbed felt it of UTMOST importance to share as a final letter.

Maybe to some then it seems like the Bible is full of gloom. Not true - God, through his Word is trying to help us prepare. This book is filled with hope and joy. That is why it is so often referred to as the Good News.

While you may have heard or been taught differently, remember that this world will never end! That’s right! This earth is never going to come to an end.

The Bible says over one hundred times this world will go on forever. God’s plan includes an Eternal Kingdom for you and me. When you study prophecy, Revelation, and what is truly coming, you see that this will be a place of peace and happiness. Pain and suffering will be gone forever, and we will spend all eternity in the holy presence of God the Father and his precious Son, Jesus Christ.

Many times people hear the word Armageddon and think that it means the end of the world. The fact is that the Bible does NOT say anything about this. Don't let me lose you here - Keep reading and you will see what I am speaking of. Har Megiddo is a PLACE, not an EVENT! The battle will be fought, at the end of the tribulation - Jesus WILL triumph!

The Bible does say over 100 times that this earth will never, never come to an end. God did not create this world just to destroy it.

John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I [Jesus] am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

God is a merciful, loving God. For some people this may be hard to believe especially when we hear about some of the awful things coming in the future.

We read in Matthew 24:21 during this time there “shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” So you ask what does this have to do with a loving and merciful God? It has EVERYTHING TO DO with it!

Our God is all knowing, and He knows and has predestined, scripted the future. He could have kept it to himself instead of letting us know what’s going to happen. His great love for us, his greatest creation, compelled Him to show us in great detail exactly what is coming. Clear and unmistakable - The warning to His children is now at hand!

God has a plan and would that everyone be saved! Everyone accept Jesus as their saviour to that they can escape this terrible time in history - This brief but horrific time on earth.

The Catching away, the Translation of the Church, the removal of the restrainer, the Pre Trib event / the escape - usually referred to as the Rapture, IS COMING VERY SOON!

This time, events, signs, etc. are discussed at length, given in vision by St. John - pictured vividly in the Book of Revelation.

If you study closely, you can easily find prophecy in nearly every book of the Bible.

Believe it or not, prophecies throughout these books, as well as the Book of Revelation, indeed offer an exact description of the world today. You can take it to the bank when I tell you that Prophecies from the Bible are being fulfilled EVERYDAY, right before our eyes!

The Bible readily predicts all the events of the world today -

Example would be September 11, 2001 -

The Bible predicts that in the last days there will be terrorism. Did you know that this is actually one of the very last signs before the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! All the signs that must happen before He returns to earth have already been fulfilled or are currently being fulfilled as you are reading this!

The Bible is EXTREMELY accurate. Jesus prophesied that there would be wars, terrorism, constant acts violence throughout the world in the end times. Isn’t this the world in which we live?

You should not fear what is happening because the Bible says that you have no reason to.

Remember - 2nd Timothy 1:7 “God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Although there are so many terrible things happening throughout world, we do not need to ever be afraid. When you hear about these acts of terrorism, earthquakes, threats, disease, crime, natural disasters, AIDS, and all others, just smile and be confident in the Lord!

Jesus stated clearly in Luke 21:31 “So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.”

When we see All of These Things the return of Jesus Christ is near! How near? How can we really know how close we are to these events and the rapture of the church? The Bible gives us very clear clues and indicators -

The Bible clearly states that through these signs we WILL know that the Coming of Christ is near. Jesus himself gave us these clues and signs to watch for.

Detractors and nay sayers say we’ve always had earthquakes, hurricanes, typhoons, diseases, plagues, as we’ve always had violence, so what makes the present day different? And what about the locusts?? Currently on track to destroy more than 50% of Africas food supply -

The Bible says the difference is this. When you see ALL these signs happening at the same time, then you know that the Lord’s Kingdom is near.

Never before have all these signs happened simultaneously and with such frequent intensity. Even casual observers can easily recognize the escalation of these events on a daily basis.

The Bible also clearly states that these signs must happen after Israel becomes a nation, and has reclaimed Jerusalem as it’s capital. Israel became a nation in 1948, and Jerusalem became it's capital again in 1967.

If you know your history, you’ll remember that Israel did not exist for nearly 2500 years. The Bible prophesied that Israel will become a nation again and belong once again to its rightful owners.

This prophecy was fulfilled and Israel was restored.

The fact that this nation even exists today is a miracle. No other nation in the history of the world has revived itself after this long. This is truly an amazing fulfilled prophecy.

Look on a world map and find Israel and you’ll notice it’s nothing more then a very small piece of land. So why has this tiny little nation captured the attention and fascination of the entire world?

Peace in the Middle East is certainly a hot topic. Constant suicide bombings, peace negotiations, and escalating violence is a regular feature in the daily newspaper.

Do you know why they have never had peace? Why they are at constant battle with the Palestinians, the world? Yep! Because the Bible said so. It IS prophecy.

The Bible declares that Israel will not be at rest until the return of the Messiah.

Shortly after the establishment of Israel as a nation, the Jewish people began returning to their homeland in staggering numbers. This again, is exactly what the Bible said would happen.

The Bible has done, with only a few prophecies, what predictors, psychics, etc have been unable to do, ever! Thousands of years in advance the Bible predicted the end of Israel, the re-establishment of Israel as a nation 2000 years later, the return of the Jewish people to their homeland, and many more.

Do you know that the statistics of even just one prophecy being accurately fulfilled is astronomical. Yet there are hundreds of Bible prophecies that are right on the money!

The Bible has never been wrong, not even once. Nothing else, no book, no writer, no teacher, no psychic, etc. could ever dare to make this claim!

It is simply fact - God wrote the Bible and only through divine vision (The prophets) are we able to know. God is the ONLY ONE WHO KNOWS the future, and he chose to share it with us, so that we would indeed be prepared!!

Even in 1948, with the Sovereign state of Israel restored, there was one piece missing. Prior to the end of the age, Jerusalem had to become the capital city. And, as I mentioned, during the Six Day War in 1967, the Jews were able to reclaim their capitol, thereby fulfilling this very important Bible prophecy. The Bible prophecies are always fulfilled with precision - 100% accuracy.

Remember what the Bible says. When we see ALL these signs and predictions happening, when Israel has indeed become a nation and Jerusalem is its capital, you WILL know that His coming is near, at the VERY DOOR! The Bible says this will be the final generation who will be alive to see the Return of Jesus Christ!

It’s happening right now, prophecy is being fulfilled on a daily basis. Are you ready for the rapture?

I believe it will be VERY SOON!

Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
The prophecy given to Daniel was to be fulfilled at the end of time. At the end of time people will be traveling back and forth on the earth and knowledge will increase on the earth. Since that is happening at this very moment, we know that we are now living in the end of time.

Therefore, since we are living in the time of the end, we know that the end time prophecies found in the scriptures are for today. Furthermore, we can now understand the end time prophecies as never before, since the end time prophecies were sealed up until the time of the end; that is, the understanding of these prophecies was kept a secret until now.

Amos 3:7-8 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.,The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord GOD hath spoken, who can but prophesy?

The Lord God loves us and He wants us to know what He has planned to do before He does it; furthermore, the Lord reveals His plans to us in order to encourage us to live for Him. Prophecy is also given so that we might know and understand what God has planned before it happens; so that, when it does happen we will know that God was in control all the time, and that we might give glory to Him. Just as a person would respond to the roaring of a lion, the prophet could not help but prophesy. We must also respond by believing the prophecy, as we would respond to a roaring lion; we must not ignore prophecy.

Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Here we see that the prophecy given to Daniel concerning the seventy weeks and the last of the seventy weeks [the time of Jacob's trouble, the great tribulation] was for Daniel's people, the Jews, and for Daniel's city, the city of Jerusalem. Therefore, we know that the end time prophecies have to do primarily with the Jews and Jerusalem. We should keep this fact in mind as we consider end time prophecies throughout the scriptures. We can say that end time prophecies are for Jews, for Jerusalem, and for today. Since the seventieth week is not meant for the Church but for Israel, the rapture of the Church must take place before the seventieth week begins.

Matt 24:32-35 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

All the end-time events that Jesus spoke about in Matthew chapter twenty-four will take place in one generation, the last generation, our generation, the time of the end. No one knows when this generation will end because God has not told us in His word, but if we look back and determine when this end-time generation began we may be able to determine when it may end.

Just as we know that summer is near when we see the fig tree put forth leaves, we know that the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is near when we see these things begin to take place. The fig tree began to put forth its leaves on May 14, 1948, the day Israel became a nation after not being a nation for almost nineteen hundred years. The generation that will not pass away, until after all the end-time events take place, began on May 14, 1948. This means the generation of adult males who were living in the land of Israel on May 14, 1948, will not all die until after all the end-time events have taken place. God wants us to know the end is near.

Matt 24:36-39 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

No one knows the exact day and hour when Jesus will come again to this earth, but we can know when His return is near. The unbelievers of Noah's day did not understand that they were about to be taken away by the coming flood, but Noah was not surprised. Noah knew one hundred and twenty years beforehand, when he started building the ark, that the flood was coming. Noah did not know the exact day of the flood; but as Noah finished building the ark, he knew the flood was near. We also know that Jesus is coming again soon and He will remove His Church at least seven years before He returns as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Jesus will take away the unbelievers of this world when He returns after the seven year tribulation (Matt.24:37-42). The unbelievers will not know Jesus is coming again soon when the rapture of the Church takes place, they will not understand that their destruction is near, no more than the unbelievers of Noah's day understood that they were about to be destroyed when Noah entered the ark. Noah was not taken by surprise, and neither will we because God has given us prophecy; so that, we will know what is about to happen before it happens. Prophecy is not given to remain a secret forever, but at the proper time God gives understanding to those who will take notice and believe. God wants His people to set proper priorities in life and to live for Him and not for this soon passing world. 1Thes 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. Paul did not say they, referring to people of some future time, but he said we. Paul expected and preached the soon return of Jesus Christ and so should we.

I repeat what I already said because it is essential to the understanding of end time prophecy; the end time prophecies are primarily given to the Jews and are for the Jews and for Jerusalem. Remember the Church is no longer in the world during the last week, seven years, of time before Jesus comes again. Therefore, the blossoming of the fig tree has to do with the Jews, and the generation of the end that Jesus mentioned is a generation of Jews. As I stated earlier, I believe the end time generation began on May 14, 1948. That was the day Israel received a home again, after being a homeless nation for about 1900 years. Remember, Jesus said that " this generation will not pass away until all these things take place ". This means that some of the people of that generation will still be alive when Jesus returns at the end of the tribulation. I believe that every adult male Jew, twenty years old and older, who was in the land of Israel on May 14, 1948, is part of the end time generation, and some of those men will still be living when Jesus comes back to this earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Ps 90:10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

We are told the strong man can expect to live 80 years on this earth. Some people do live longer than 80 years, but the normal strong man can expect to live only 80 year, according to the word of God. The generation begins with adulthood, at age twenty. The youngest of the adult males who was twenty years old on May 14, 1948 will be eighty years old in the spring of 2009; therefore, the strongest members of the end time generation may not live beyond the year 2009. No matter how long the last generation lives, one thing is certain, we are now living in the last generation and this generation will not live forever, even if it does live longer than 80 years.

2 Pet 3:3-4 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

We must be careful that we do not play the part of the mocker. It seems that the closer we get to the Lord's return, the more we hear preachers saying that the Lord may not come back for hundreds of years yet. The Lord wants us to expect His soon return and we are not setting a date for His return when we say He is coming soon, very soon, in this generation.

John 1:11-13 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

The first time the Son of God, Jesus Christ, came to this earth He was rejected by His people. Anyone who does not reject Him, but accepts Him, by believing in Him, receives a birthright to become a son of God. All those who believe in Him are born again, they are made a new creation, they are no longer a child of Adam but they are now a child of God. Furthermore, being born again is not a physical birth but a spiritual birth. It has nothing to do with who we are in this world, what our status is in life, or who our family is. It has nothing to do with our will, it is not as a result of our desire, or the desire of anyone else. Being born again is all of God's doing not ours. If we only believe in Jesus Christ, as apposed to rejecting Him, we will be made children of God. If we are a child of God when Jesus Christ returns to this earth, He will take us to be with Himself and we will be with Him forever.

1 Cor 16:22 If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.

I see there were 7 earthquakes around the globe last week. One year ago there were 4. Of course it changes week to week. In January 2004 there were 10 earthquakes in one week around the globe.
This is not counting the volcanic activity which has also increased and different plagues acoss the world such as SARS, West Nile Virus, and attacks from animals such as chimps attacking children in Africa. Dingo superpacks in Australia, and it goes on and on. Heat wave in France and drought. Even Yellow Fever outbreaks that haven't occurred for over 50 years in Columbia.

Very interesting. I wasn't aware of some of those. Just goes to show you the magnitude of what is going on across the globe.

I don't wish to get caught up in doomsday thinking , but it's good to be informed and realize the signs of the times.

Last year I would have agreed on the doomsday thinking, but now I don't know. I just feel something coming. Some people I have talked to have felt the "quickening" as well. It's true that things might simmer down again but the end times are coming, too many signs are there. When will it happen? Who knows, but it will be soon.
quote:
Unfortunely our news media seem to have one track minds, and most real news is never reported to the public.

Yeah and we won't get anything out of them either. The media is so far left now that I believe they are blinded to these things. When the end times come, the media will try and mislead people to believe that all the "signs" are just freak accidents. I pray that the message will get out in those times.
quote:
The information is there, one just needs to dig.

Very true, however, if you are "blind", you don't know to look. That is why I have been talking to people I know to try and soften them up slowly and eventually lead them to Jesus. It is a tremendous struggle in these days, persecution is certainly ahead.

I don't know why the Planet Diary was started, but I think it has more to do with people who are concerned with Global Warming and with Environmentalist's concerns about pollution.

No doubt they will be at the front in the end times to claim humans and big business are the cause for these supernatural phenomenom (during the tribulation). Anything to keep their field legitimate.

Thanks for posting Eagle, I do appreciate your input. God bless. [thumbsup2]

P.S. Ivan was just upgraded to category 4. [Frown]

Also for reference of people like me who like quick references. [Smile]

I did look up the Diary of the Planet web site this morning after I wrote to you earlier.

There is also supposed to be signs in the stars.
We had the nearness of the planet Mars last year.
That was awesome to see, but I don't if it means anything.

Well Eagle, you might be right. I just heard an update on Fox that said the Russian terrorists were in fact tied to Al Queda. One thing about Russia is their tenacity. And with Putin receiving criticism for the loss of lives, he might go after Al Queda to save face. Should be an interesting couple of months. [Cross]

Thanks for the replies Eagle. [Smile] That is interesting what you said about Russia. I'm not sure what they will do but the world should understand now that terrorism is not going to go away and will affect EVERY nation. I do know that Israel will not allow Iran to complete their nuclear objectives. I still think they will attack some time next year.

Sadly to say, you might be right about the U.S. being Babylon. We have become a very immoral nation on the whole. I pray every day for the protection of our country and for Christians to rise up and defend God. However, the secular humanism being taught in our schools today is frightening. I saw this first hand last week as I have decided to go back to school. We are a nation that follows many gods but not GOD. Money, sex, drugs, porn, and on and on... God have mercy on us.

I read an interesting thing on Fox last night. It said that the locust problem in Africa might explode to a severe problem destroying 40% of the crops there. Things do seem to be speeding up.

Be well Eagle and God bless. [Cross]

From Ripp:

If we were to be attacked on a massive scale, we would be out of the global picture. North Korea takes over South Korea. China takes over Taiwan. Russia and/or Iran comes after Israel after the attack. Any thoughts?

I personally think America is Babylon. We are the nation that sits on many waters. America is a melting pot of all peoples and cultures and beliefs.

The warning in revelation to "Come out and be ye separate." Shows that not all who live in Babylon are to be destroyed.

Ripp, I don't know about this:

After this week's terror attacks on Russia and the terrible loss of life there, I wonder if Ezekiel's war will occur as the Hook that brings Russia down to Isreal may be to war against the terrorists in the Middle East including Iran.

So much is happening right now, I'm not sure which way prophesy will manifest.

Welcome Ripp!

Here's your question:

quote:
Lastly, I would like some of you experts to list all of the signs about end times that you are aware of. I know of a few but would like a full picture of what to look for.

Matthew 24:3-7

Describes what must be before the "end". Wars and rumors of war, we've had since Christ arose again 2000 years ago.
Many will say they are the "Christ" has also occurred for a long time with false "christs".
Islam teaches Christ is only a prophet, not the Son of God. The Mormons also teach about a false type of Christ who is Lucifer's brother. The new Age "christ" which teaches all men are "gods". Those are only a few examples I know of.

vs7. Nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places"

We have seen nations rise against each other for many centuries. Now it is getting more frequent like Birth pains ever coming more intensely and rapidly. Famines are still here and more famines have been predicted due to weather patterns and wars. Earthquakes are more frequent that in the past, if you look at the "diary of the planet" which is a site that gives synopsis of worldwide quakes each week one can see they are happening almost weekly around the world.

Pestilences: diseases have increased not decreased in spite of modern medicines. These are diseases with no vaccine and no cure.

Vs8 Jesus calls this time the "Beginning of Sorrows"

This is just one aspect of signs from my understanding. [Smile]

Ok guys, I have a few questions for you. Revelation and end times has interested me for a long time and I am hoping some of you are experts on this study.

First of all, I see next year as possibly being a catalyst for the end times. I'm thinking that Israel will attack Irans nuclear facilities some time next year, after the elections. We won't do it but Israel will. Any thoughts?

Second, if I understand correctly, the U.S. isn't mentioned in Revelation. If that's true and something happens to us before then, I have a thought. If we were to be attacked on a massive scale, we would be out of the global picture. North Korea takes over South Korea. China takes over Taiwan. Russia and/or Iran comes after Israel after the attack. Any thoughts?

Lastly, I would like some of you experts to list all of the signs about end times that you are aware of. I know of a few but would like a full picture of what to look for.

Thanks in advance and God bless. [Smile]
