Hamas leader killed by IDF sniper in Gaza Strip
Palestinians said Tuesday that a senior Hamas man wanted by Israel was shot and killed by an IDF marksman in Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip, Israel Radio reported.
According to the report, Hussaan Hamdan was hit by the sharpshooter as he went up to the roof of his house. The sniper was stationed hundreds of meters away in the settlement of Ganei Tal.
Hamdan was one of the heads of the military wing of Hamas, Izzedin el-Kassam. Hamdan was wounded last year when IAF helicopters fired a missile into his car, killing a second Hamas member.
Hamdan was the son of Ahmed Hamdan a senior political leader in the Hamas.
