I want to share an amazing experience that occurred last week.
I was attending an outdoor graveside funeral service of a relative. The pastor was talking about Lazarus. He just finished quoting the verse that Jesus says; "I am the Resurrection and the LIfe."
Suddenly an elderly man collaped on the grass. People near him helped him to the ground as he lost consciousness. I ran over to him and watched as he took a last agonizing breathe. His chest stopped moving and he was cool and sweaty, and gray colored. I knew he was dying or just died. I opened his airway (CPR TRAINING KICKED IN) and gave him some rescue breathes, and another person them told me he had a weak thready pulse. I shook him and yelled for him to wake up.
He started breathing on his own and began to arouse and was speaking kind of in confused words.
The pastor then came over and prayed over him and the man suddenly just REALLY woke up and was OK.
We had called 911 and they came and treated him.
Many people who actually saw him, all said they thought he actually died. I know I did, and that's why I attempted to do the rescue breathing and was ready to do whatever else.
But... I know my resuce breathing is NOT what brought him around. I know God did it.
Praise God, as this is so exciting!
