Today was another beautiful day, sunny and warm. We had breakfast this morning at 8 am and a time of team prayer at 9 am. Someone on the team earlier on in the trip made the comment. "It's not so important to do things according to God's time as it is to be in God's timing.” We were to experience that first hand this morning.

We walked to the other side of Tel Aviv to the Esther House, which is where Avi Mizrachi leads the Messianic Jewish congregation. We were going to join their group for prayer at 10. Then we were going to meet with Avi at 11 for an orientation on ministering to Jewish people and the overall spiritual climate with the Jewish people. We had purchased some groceries for lunch and took them with us. But on the way the Lord led us to the person He intended to give the food to - a homeless lady sleeping in an underground passageway. We laid the food next to her stuff and prayed for her and her blessing and protection.

We showed up there around 10:15 and the YWAM group was in a time of worship so we just joined in. Then after about 15 minutes one of the YWAM leaders got up and said she felt the Lord was leading her to pray for each of the members of our team and anoint us to do God's work and for us to have greater prophetic intercession for Israel while we are here. So for 2 hours the YWAM team and our team prayed for and prophesied over each other and anointed each other with oil. During that time Joe, our team leader, looked for Avi, but Avi couldn't be found. Then around noon Avi came into the room apologizing for being late because of his staff meeting. But it was God's perfect timing, as we had just finished praying over the last person!

We had a great orientation meeting with Avi. He shared his personal testimony about accepting Yeshua (Jesus) as Lord and Savior. Then he shared some basics about sharing the Gospel with Jewish people. We learned “do's” and “don'ts” and had a chance to ask questions about Israel, the people and their various viewpoints about God, Yeshua and their spirituality in general. It was very enlightening for all of us.

Afterwards we headed towards the beach for lunch. Along the way we passed a poor man begging on a corner. We gave him some money and prayed for him briefly. How frustrating that none of us speak Hebrew. But, when we give people food and say, “Elohim” and point to the sky then to our hearts and then to the person they always seem to understand what we are trying to convey: that God loves them and our gifts are from Him. Many times this happened today. And many times we were able to hand out Hebrew tracts about God's plan for salvation that we obtained at Avi's congregation and mention the name, “Yeshua”. Often receiving a favorable response and a look of gratitude.

Lord, how much of a blessing it is to bless your people, the apple of your eye. Father in heaven I ask you, to guide us into more opportunities to bless your people and proclaim your love to them, especially in the Name of Yeshua.

For our supporters reading this, please pray the same. Your prayers are powerful and effective. The Lord said this morning that not one word of prayer that you and we pray and not one step we take in Israel is going unnoticed by God (Matthew 10:29).

In Yeshua, The Team

Psalm 119:104Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way. 105Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
