I am 27 years old, and I am a born again believer. If I were to list everything that God has done for me, it would take forever to list ![[Cross]](graemlins/cross.gif) everything, so I will just tell y’all a little about what God has done for me.
Well to begin, I grew up in an Episcopalian church, which is similar to the Catholic faith, for those that do not know. When I was 17 and a senior in high school, I met a guy that I thought I would spend the rest of my life with, well it turned out that the guy raped and severely beat me, just because I wouldn't give him what he wanted.
And then on top of it all, he threatened that if I told anyone that he would come back and finish the job. So I didn't tell anyone. At this time I wasn't a Christian, I don't like admitting this, but I actually blamed God for letting it happen to me. After this all happened, I tried to commit suicide three times, but never succeeding, because God had a plan for me. I didn't know that at the time, but I know it now.
A couple months after the rape, a close friend of mine invited me to their youth group, I was really depressed because of the rape, and didn't really want to open up, and I wanted to keep my hardened heart and not let anyone in. It took me a couple weeks to open up and start to trust people, but I still wasn't ready to commit my life to Christ.
After about a month and a half, with going through some counseling with the youth pastor, I gave my life to Christ, and received Him with open arms. Now that was almost 6 years ago, but there's more. Now probably by now, you are thinking, when is she going to stop talking? LOL Well I will try to make the rest of this short, but still get the point across.
I soon fell away from the Lord, and got into the witchcraft and the occult. Now don't ask why, I really don't know why, it's hard to explain. But I was heavily involved in both for about 3 1/2 years.
Our God is an awesome God! He delivered me from both, and I rededicated my life to Christ, in May it will be 6 years. Praise the Lord!!! God has also been good to me by meeting the man I married. We were married on the exact day that I gave my life to the Lord. (May 15, 2001) We also will be expecting our first child in May of 2002. Praise the Lord for He is Great!!
