Topic: To correctly be called "A Christian".

This quote was sent to me today. I thought how appropriate it went with the topic of what " A Real Christian" is.

HOW TO BE BORN AGAIN
The Sinner: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
The Problem: "Jesus answered. . .Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3
The Sentence: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23
The Savior: "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
The Solution: "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Romans 10:9
The Timing: "Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." II Corinthians 6:2
Your Acceptance of God's Gift: If you really believe that Jesus Christ took your place in judgment for your sins on the Cross, you can pray the following prayer.

The walk:Maintain being in Christ for Spiritual growth by Bible study and simple prayer to the burring of the flesh.

I agree. Saying you are a Christian, dose not make you one. Being a better person, will not save you. Only Jesus can save.

To correctly be called a Christian means you've had a change of heart about your sinful condition before God, a repentance of sin, and undergone a spiritual transformation or rebirth of your dead spirit to a new and living spiritual rebirth. This means the old you has passed away and you have become new, forgiven, and washed clean by the grace of God. It's called a "Born Again" experience. It's an act of God whereby He shows us grace, and He imparts eternal life to the person who believes in, trusts in and places their faith in Jesus the Christ. Being "born again" means you have become a "child of God" through trust in the name of Jesus Christ. If you do not believe Jesus is God who came in the flesh, who died for your sins and rose again from the dead, than you cannot rightly be called a Christian.
For it is written:
John 1:11-13
He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
Being born again is the only way to be rightly called a Child of God. Being born into humanity, does not make one a Christian. Being born into a Christian family, does not make one a Christian. Going to a church building with your family or on your own, does not make one a Christian. Being baptized as a baby by sprinkling, or being baptized by immersion at any time in life, does not make one a Christian. Being born in a so called "Christian nation", does not make one a Christian.
The only way to be a Christian is to be born again from Above. And the only way to be born again from above is by God's grace through your faith in Jesus the Christ. To be born again is to have God Himself, quicken your spiritually dead human spirit to new life. Only God can do this, and He will only do it for those who sincerely believe.
No amount of good works, church going, sacraments, intellectual study in orthodoxy, theology, or church fathers, can save you. No knowledge of Greek, or Hebrew. No book learning and No amount of years in the church can save you.
Ephesians 2:6-9
...and (He) raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
