Jesus died a painful death on the cross for our sin, so that we can receive the free gift of eternal life with a body like Jesus had after His resurrection.
Since Jesus, who was sinless, died for our sins, no one can say and need say, "Oh I was a better person in life than you". Where is boasting when Jesus died on our behalf? There is none needed.
All we have to do is accept and believe that Jesus died for us, and be ongoing believing we will receive the gift of eternal life with a body like Jesus had after His resurrection.
Once we believe that about Jesus, then the Holy Spirit comes alongside as our Comforter and our Counsellor, so that by His sanctification and by the Word of God we may reprogram the contents of our heart, for out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.
Thank You, Jesus, for dying for me, so that I don't have to die anymore and will receive an eternal body like You had after Your resurrection.
It's so easy, I have to do almost nothing except believe in Him.
