Mat 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Is Christ really coming back in a flesh body?

Zec 14:4> And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives...it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.

Look at the confusion brought upon Peter, James, and John as they catch a mere glimpse of Christ as He reveals a mere sliver of His True Glory:

Mat 17:2 And {Christ the Lord} was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
Mat 17:3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elijah talking with him.

this is where Peter begins to go a bit mad from being in the presence of just a moment of Glory;

Mat 17:4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.

We have it on good athority that when Christ returns to His earthly people, all those who are dead will first be raise, then those who are alive and remain, but none could withstand being in the presence of His Glory. They would simply be consumed by it, which is why He had to take off His Glory first in order to come in the form of a servant.

2 Thess. 2:8 - " And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:"

1Pe 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit

Hitch if you are not a scoffer, then you must be able to tell us when these scriptures in ZaZechariah 14 were fulfilled???

I'm just saying, people are showing you through scripture the answers to your attempt to debunk what many Christians believe.

Isaiah 11:5-9
5.Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, and faithfulness the belt of His waist.
6.The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
7.The cow and the bear shall graze; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
8.The nursing child shall play by the cobra's hole, and the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper's den.
9.They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.

Zechariah 14 tells us how it will be during the millenial reign of Christ.

Jesus tells us he will return again. It is all through the New Testiment, yet you refuse to see.

1 Corinthians 2:14
14.But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The Shepherd has long since been smitten and the sheep scattered ,,,and returned. they have looked on Him whom they have pierced and mourned.

Jesus makes no mention of a temporal kingdom. He does connect the Kingdom of God and repentance and belief in the Gospel. There is no better sourse for definition and His definition is entirely spiritual, and Paul agrees. In fact Paul takes care to demonstrate the difference between Dave's kingdom, inagurated with feasting saying the Kingdom of God is not meat and drink.

The so-called Kingdom Age ahderents cannot describe christianity as the best possible situation. They instead prefer a return to Temple rites, including circumscion and bloody sarifices. The ox is before the cart.

Take care

Not at this present time from here.

John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

At Some Future time:

2 Timothy 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

Physical bodily FUTURE presence:

Zechariah 14:3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.
6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:
7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.

8 ¶ And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.
10 All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin’s gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king’s winepresses.
11 And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.
12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.
13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.
14 And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.
15 And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the *** , and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.
16 ¶ And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
20 In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD’S house shall be like the bowls before the altar.
21 Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.

From Missler's site;

Thy Kingdom Come: The Millennium
Starting with Origen and continuing with Augustine, the Church grew to allegorize the prophecies concerning the earthly reign of the Messiah. However, the Bible treats the Millennium as the literal thousand-year rule of Christ from Jerusalem.

Assuming presuppositionalism I recon we are agreed that the ancient Scriptures foretell the Messianic Kingdom. One of the enduring questions is whether this Kingdom redquires Christ's bodily presence.

Jesus opend His ministry talking about the Kingdom of God;

14Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

15And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

The question is simple and specific.

Is the Kingdom spoken of by Christ in this passage the same one foretold by the Prophets?

Take care

Hitch
