Yes, brother WKUHilltopper, I think that Hamite Phut, the full brother of Kush and Misr and Canaan, became Hamite Libya after the dispersion.
Libya used to be much larger, occupying most of the north African coast.
All four full brothers were geographically together: Kush had Nubia, Misr had Egypt, Phut had Libya, and Canaan had Israel and Lebanon to Hamath.
In my opinion the modern Palestine Authority are none other than Israel's historic enemy the Hamite Misr Philistines, who were descened from Misr. Like the Hamite Misr Philistines, the Hamite Misr Palestians possess the Gaza Strip.
Genesis 10:13-15 (KJV)
13 And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,
14And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim,) and Caphtorim.
The Hamite Misr Casluhim Philistim, or Philistines.

Isn't "Phut" pretty much modern day Liyba?

I mainly use the KJV but I have been working on this longtime writing project called In Search of the Land of Goshen, and by going to Strong's Concordance, the underlying Hebrew words were determined.
But otherwise one would "never realize it" from the KJV.
The same is true, but to a less-obscured extent, of the KJV Old Testament use of the word "Babylon", which in the Hebrew is always just "Babel", like like in Genesis 11 when "they were dispersed from Babel".

If these things are so as you say "obscured" by the KJV translation, then what version did you use to discover the true underlying original words of the Text BA?

For those who don't know, the word "Egypt" (and its derivatives) in the KJV Old Testament, is always in Hebrew the word "Misr" or "Mizraim" and its derivatives:
Gen 12:10 And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt 04714 to sojourn there; for the famine [was] grievous in the land.
4714 Mitsrayim mits-rah'-yim dual of 4693; Mitsrajim, i.e. Upper and Lower Egypt:--Egypt, Egyptians, Mizraim.
Unfortunately the translators of the KJV used the more modern Greek name "Aegyptos" (or "Egypt" in English), because that obscures the fact that "Misr" was a son of Ham and a full brother of Kush, Canaan, and Phut:
Genesis 10:6 And the sons of Ham; Kush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
Likewise, it is unfortunate that the translators of the KJV used the more modern English "Ethiopia", because in the KJV Old Testament, the Hebrew is always "Kush".
Isaiah 37:9 And he heard say concerning King Tirhakah of Ethiopia 03568{Hebrew, Kush}, He is come forth to make war with thee. And when he heard it, he sent messengers to Hezekiah.
3568 Kush koosh probably of foreign origin; Cush (or Ethiopia), the name of a son of Ham, and of his territory; also of an Israelite:--Chush, Kush, Ethiopia.
Using the word "Ethiopia" instead of "Kush" obscures the fact that Kush was a son of Ham and a full brother to Misr, Canaan, and Phut:
Genesis 10:6 And the sons of Ham: Kush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
Nor did Kush every really occupy Ethiopia proper. After the dispersion from Babel, Hamite Misr took possession of the Misr (Egypt) Nile valley from the Mediterrean Sea to Aswan by the 1st cataract.
Immediately south of the 1st cataract began the Kush {Nubian} Nile valley which extended from the 1st cataract in northwest Kush Nubia to the 6th cataract in southeast Kush Nubia.
That is, Ham's son Misr took the stretch of Misr Nile valley, and immediately below of south of him was Ham's son Kush, and Kush and Misr were full brothers.
King Tirhakah of Kush was a nephew of the Kushite Piankhy royal family who all came from the royal complex at Napata-Karima-Nuri in the middle loop of the Kush Nubian Nile valley, and not at all from "Ethiopia".
This Kush royal line of Napata is the only one which was able to conquer the Misr Nile valley and the Misr Nile floodplain for about 100 years.
All of this is unfortunately obscured by the KJV's use of "Egypt" and "Ethiopia" instead of "Misr" and "Kush".
