Just a comment on Terral's post:

quote:
While the OT prophets could see the New Testament “bride” (John 3:29, Rev. 19:5-10) being joined to the Lord, they were not given to see the Gentile dominant ‘body of Christ’ (Eph. 4:12) under His head.
What was unsearchable, (Gr. untrackable=it cannot be tracked in the Scriptures) is that Gentiles would be blessed through the fall of Israel. And apart from Israel. This was unrevealed until the Lord spoke through his chosen vessel, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you gentiles.

It was always known that the nations would be blessed through Israel, but never apart from Israel.

In the mystery body, the church revelated after Israel entered into her full judicial blindness around 62-64 A.D. the apostle wrote all about the inheritance of this newly created body. After this blindness the apostle provides us with seven additional epistles. In hia prison ministry, where there were five, but one being rather of personal nature, the full doctrine and walk is found in four, which is why we refer to the four prison epistles.

This church is never called a bride, wife, she, her, woman, daughter, or any such thing as to introduce it into the kingdom economy.

Specifically, the church of the one body IS called to be a full grown man, teleios anēr, where anēr is the Greek word for 'husband' in Eph.4. 13, where this same word "anēr" is rendered 'husband' five times in the very next chapter.

It is nowhere found that the church which is operation right now is called to be a full grown man, the bride. It is nonsensical to say the least, as God is not the author of confusion.

It speaks of an earthly government, and it speaks to a specific time when this administration (the word dispensation) will be in view as a reality.

This does not include those of the heavenly family though, for the body of Christ will be far above all that is earthly, and is never associated with the peoples of the earth.

From Genesis to the end of Acts there is not one word about a people going to heaven to spend their time with the Lord.

This was only revealed once the dispensation of promise reached it's conclusion, Israel choosing to remain blind and deaf to the kingdom promise, the Lord agreed that they should remain in their blindness till the appointed time.

Col 1:25
Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God

In the above verse, the Holy Spirit declares throu gh the apostle that it is in this mystery revelation that the word of God is complete, and it is completed according to the dispnesation of God. Why all this struggle against the fact that God works in an orderly fashion, calling His outworkings dispensations I do not understand.

If you can think of a pharmacist, and how you want him to dispense the right amount of the right thing at the right time to the right people. The pharmacist, in this example, is administering, or stewarding according to the instructions given him.

It is the same thing when an apostle is sent with a message. The apostle is stewarding, or dispensing that good thing the Lord has given him to administer, and that, to a specific people for a specific purpose by a specific message. A dispensation is nothing more and nothing less than the Lord's showing who ever it may be what is truth for the people during the time in which His message applies.

Rightly dividing the word of truth honors these differences. It is unfortunate that man has such a hard time receiving this Biblical precepts, creating divisions amoungst themselves by their constantly labeling everyone as apart from God's teachings in one way or another. The Bible is clear, we are in a dispensation of the mystery, or secret, revealed right now.

Some verses regarding the dispensation of promise;

Luk 1:72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant

Rom 1:2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the Holy Scriptures,)

Act 1:4 ...wait for the promise of the Father

Act 2:39 For the promise is unto you (Hebrew tribes)

Act 13:23 Of this man's seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Savior, Jesus

Act 13:32 And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers

Act 26:6 And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers

Act 26:7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come.

Rom 9:4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promis

Rom 15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers

Gal 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made.

Isa 9:7

7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
KJV

Doesn't this suggest one people and one church?
