Scripture commands that we show ourselves approved to men (1Cor. 11:19)
1Cor. 11:19 doesn't speak of us showing ourselves approved to men, only that what they were then doing was to show the contrast between those who are approved and those who are not:
1Co 11:19 For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.
During the Acts, yes, they had works to be doing, those so approved were to be manifest unto men, but not so during the dispensation of the mystery, here we are to be approved unto God,
2Ti 2:15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
quote:
The ‘anointing’ of 1John 5:27...could receive the Holy Spirit through the laying of hands.
Well said.
quote: Terral
You will find that this three baptism combo for the sign gifts is part of Gospel #1 in the two outlines below. However, today we receive only a ‘pledge’ (Eph. 1:13+14) of our inheritance by obedience to Paul’s “message of truth’ (vs. 13)
Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, Eph 1:14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
I cannot equate baptism being associated with the sealing of the Holy Spirit, nor can I see the 'obediance' being discussed in v.13,although it does speak directly to understanding, which is different than preforming acts of obediance.
The one baptism in Ephesians 4 speaks of is this:
Eph 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, Eph 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Toucning upon this, and speaking not of the physicl body, but of the heart of the believer:
Heb 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Heb 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith
It is laid bear for us here:
Col 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Col 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Col 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: Col 2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Col 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. Col 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; Col 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Col 2:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
But the substance is of Christ. So what do you have is the question. Do you have the shadow of all these things, the divers washings, the respect of sabbath days, the new moons which marked the feasts and sabbaths, the High Sabbaths annually, the fifty year sabbath (jubilee) and all of these things, or do you have Christ?
Heb 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things,
Do you have the reality of Christ, or do you clinge to the shadows which showed forth the reality which was to come? It is not any of my business where one stands, I am not to judge, but I ask that one might consider what is reality as provided by in Scripture, for all shadows and types belong to Israel, whether they be baptisms, sabbaths, circumcisions, feasts, all of it, they all belong to Israel, and gentiles never had any part in them, not Biblically.

Tim,
The passage you quoted is fine provided one has received 'the anointing' but if he has not, he will have a different interpretation. The Trinity is an extremely difficult concept for some to believe in, even though they may have received Christ at some point in their lives, but a study of the scriptures will show without a doubt that it is a sound biblical concept.
And then we have the unsaved who will not believe regardless of the evidence to the contrary. Luke 22:67, "Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he (Christ) said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe." Notice Jesus didn't say they cannot believe, but they 'will not' believe. According to John 3:27, "...A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven." What this says to me is that spiritual principles must come from God above, otherwise we will interpret scripture or spiritual things with our hearts which are 'desperately wicked' according to Jeremiah 17:9. We may be sincere, and think we are doing 'God's will' but in reality we are only fooling ourselves. One must be willing to lay aside preconceived notions before the Holy Spirit can influence their hearts to believe difficult biblical concepts, and in the case of the scribes and Pharisees in the above passage from Luke they chose NOT to believe regardless of what Jesus said or did. Another similiar passage is in John 5:40 where Jesus said, "And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life." These guys had already made up their minds that Jesus was a phoney and decided they were not going to be influenced by anything or anyone, period.

Terral,
tis a shame that Christ isn't lifted up in your efforts to use Scripture to state things other than that which is expressly written, and further shame to accuse me of using tactics, throwing everything against the wall hoping something will stick, tragic really.
I see you equating Adam with water but God equated adam with 'likeness', &c with the rest of it.
Why not stay close to what is written, it is much safer to believe God than self.
Rather than personalizing your plight, superimposing the shortcoming upon others, stay with Scripture:
The Bible says that:
The heavens are the work of God's hands (Ps 102:25 The heavens are the work of Jesus hand (Heb 1:10)
God laid the foundations of the earth (Is 48:13) Jesus laid the foundations of the earth (Heb 1:10)

God is eternal (Deut 33:27) Jesus is eternal (Is 9:6, Heb 1:10,11)
God will come with all the holy ones (Zech 14:5) Jesus will come with all the holy ones (1 Thess 3:13)
Only God is our savior (Is 43:11) Jesus is our savior (Tit 2:13, 2 Pet 1:1)
God is the creator of the universe (Is 44:24, Jer 27:5) Jesus is the creator of the universe (Jn 1:3)
To God, every knee will bow and every tongue confess (Is 45:22,23) To Jesus, every knee will bow and every tongue confess (Phil 2:10,11)
God is the same and his years will have no end (Ps 102:27) Jesus is the same and his years will have no end (Heb 1:12)
God is immutable (Mal 3:6) Jesus is immutable (Heb 13:8)
God is over all (Ps 97:9) Jesus is over all (Jn 3:31)
The spirit of God dwells in us (Rom 8:9) The spirit of Jesus dwells in us (Gal 4:6)
God is a stone of offense and a stumbling block (Is 8:14) Jesus is a stone of offence and a stumbling block (1 Pet 2:8)
God was valued at 30 pieces of silver (Zech 11:12,13) Jesus was valued at 30 pieces of silver (Mt 26:14-16)

God is our owner (Is 54:5) Jesus is our only owner (Jude 4)
No one can snatch us out of God's hand (Deut 32:39) No one can snatch us out of Jesus hand (Jn 10:28)

Paul is a slave of God (Tit 1:1) Paul is a slave of Jesus (Rom 1:1)
God raised Jesus from the dead (Gal 1:1) Jesus raised himself from the dead (Jn 2:19-21)
God is our guide (Ps 48:14) Jesus is our guide (Lk 1:79)
God is our deliverer (Ps 70:5, 2 Sam 22:2) Jesus is our deliverer (Rom 11:26)
God is called God (Is 44:8) Jesus is called God (Is 9:6, Jn 20:28)
God is the King of Israel (Is 44:6) Jesus is the King of Israel (Mt 27:42, Jn 1:19)
Since the Bible doesn't contradict itself, how can all these things be true if Jesus is not God?

How many 'true' Gods are there according to scripture? ONE! John 17:3, "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent."
So we have only one true God, not two or three or four hundred or five million, we only have one true God. He is manifested in three persons, Father, Son, Holy Spirit, but still only one God.

quote:
Everyone here has the opportunity to make great progress in understanding exactly how the ‘summing up’ (Eph. 1:9+10) mechanics of ‘the mystery’ (Eph. 3:3) work, IF you will turn loose of those old man-made trinity concepts. Does Scripture say that the Father + Son + Holy Spirit = The Almighty? No. Men have ‘assumed’ that by Christ’s statements in Matthew 28:19.
This is easily refuted:
Isaiah 45:1. THUS SAITH JEHOVAH... 3. I, JEHOVAH ... AM THE ELOHIM OF ISRAEL. 5. I AM JEHOVAH ... THERE IS NO ELOHIM BESIDE ME. 6. I AM JEHOVAH, AND THERE IS NONE ELSE. 7. I, JEHOVAH DO ALL THESE THINGS. 8. I, JEHOVAH HAVE CREATED IT. 11. THUS SAITH JEHOVAH, THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL, AND HIS MAKER. 13. SAITH THE JEHOVAH OF HOSTS. 14. THUS SAITH JEHOVAH. SURELY EL IS IN THEE; AND THERE IS NONE ELSE, THERE IS NO ELOHIM. 15. VERILY THOU ARE AN EL THAT HIDEST THYSELF, 0 ELOHIM OF ISRAEL, THE SAVIOUR. 17. BUT ISRAEL SHALL BE SAVED IN JEHOVAH. 18. FOR THUS SAITH JEHOVAH THAT CREATED THE HEAVENS; ELOHIM HIMSELF THAT FORMED THE EARTH AND MADE IT... I AM JEHOVAH; AND THERE IS NONE ELSE. 19. I, JEHOVAH SPEAK RIGHTEOUSNESS. 21. HAVE NOT I, JEHOVAH? AND THERE IS NO ELOHIM BESIDE ME; A JUST EL AND A SAVIOUR; THERE IS NONE BESIDE ME. 22. FOR I AM EL, AND THERE IS NONE ELSE. 24. SURELY IN JEHOVAH HAVE I RIGHTEOUSNESS AND STRENGTH. 25. IN JEHOVAH SHALL ALL THE SEED OF ISRAEL BE JUSTIFIED, AND SHALL GLORY.
Now read the chapter through and tell me, are Jehovah, El, and Elohim one and the same? Is there only one God? And is not that one God Creator, Saviour, and the only One to be worshipped? And did you note that in verse 23 El says something that is repeated in Ph'p 2:10? According to this, Christ is El. And El is both Elohim and Jehovah. Then who is Christ?
The Word made flesh is God. Not a god, as some would say, for that brings in other gods and that is contrary to the very first commandment and has to do with idolatry. As true Christians we have to recognize the fact that Jesus of Nazareth was God, or no god at all. Only God is to be worshipped, according to the law of Israel. That has not been changed. Worship is ordained for Christ in Ph'p. 2:10. "And let all the angels of God worship Him." So says Hebrews 1:6.
Isaiah 45 is used purposely here. The chapter speaks for itself. Jehovah is God and there is none else. Take away Jehovah and there is no God. Take away Jesus Christ and there is no God. The implications are plain. There is one God, but three persons.
That all three, God, Christ, and the Comforter are called the parakletos, the Bible settle the matter for me.

1 John 5:7-8
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. KJV
If you look up the same scripture in the NIV you will notice a worrying difference.

God the Son is God the Father is God the Holy Spirit.
In the O.T. we do have God likening Himself as a father to children, but is never called the Father:
Psa 103:13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.
God is only called the Father once the Son is come into the world.
And in the last verses of the Bible, those which have the farthest reach as to God's plan, it is not the Father who becomes once again 'all in all', rather, it is God, all in all.
The words used, Father and Son are merely conduits which must be used by us as in the flesh, who have not the heavenly vocabulary to comprehend this great teaching but by our own limited worldy relationships, therefore the God of Glory stoops down and uses words we can understand, and it is in this great condescention of God that He removed His original glory and stooped down that His children might know something of His divine plan and it's outworking.

The great commission of the kingdom age (Matt 28:19) included baptizing in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost (Spirit). The word name is in the singular, not plural. So Father is not a name. Son is not a name. Holy Spirit is not a name. But there is a name that includes all three. Do you know that name? It is the name that is given to Jesus (Ph'p. 2:8-11). It is first mentioned in Psalms 7:17. It is Jehovah Elyon (Jehovah, the most high God). That is the name and this is given to the person of Christ.
What name was Israel to make known?
Let us take up God the Holy Spirit in the 9 occurrences in Eph. and set them forth: 1. 2:18. The Holy Spirit is the means of access to God, the Father. This person is one. 2. 2:22. The Holy Spirit is the Builder of the holy temple which is a habitation of God. It is built of living stones, believers. 3. 3:5. The Holy Spirit is the Revealer. He revealed the mystery of Christ to the apostles and prophets. 4. 3:16. The Holy Spirit is the Giver of all power and might. Here is a purpose. 5. 4:3. The Holy Spirit is the Origin of the spiritual unity. Here it is the genitive of origin, a figure of speech. 6. 4:30. The Holy Spirit can be grieved or offended. Read the next two verses and see what offends the Spirit. 7. 5:18. The Holy Spirit is the Filler. He can so fill a believer that he will overflow with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in his heart to the Lord. He runs the cup over. 8. 6:17. The Holy Spirit carries the sword. He also provides it for the believer to make up his panoply of armor. The Holy Spirit has given us the Word of God. 9. 6:18. The Holy Spirit is the source and power of all prayer. When we know not what to pray for, He can make intercession for us.
Although we find much about the nature and attributes of the Father and the Son, we do not find so much about the Spirit. And the reason? He does not speak of Himself, but gives testimony of the Son. Christ is the theme of the Bible from beginning to end. And our Lord said that when the Holy Spirit was come He would not speak of Himself, but of Christ.
So although we find a great deal about the activities of the Holy Spirit in the Word, we do not learn very much about Himself. He is there all the way through. He is just as omnipresent as any other person of the Godhead.
This should set you out on a search for further information. You will not find Him in Colossians. Look through the rest of the post-Acts epistles of Paul for Him. References: See notes on above texts in the Companion Bible, Appendices 9 and 101 in the same, and The Giver and His Gifts by E.W. Bullinger.

No sir.
Your losing it Terral, stay with the Scriptures:
2Pe 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation. 2Pe 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God = God-Breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

The Holy Spirit is God, as evidenced by the Holy Spirit inspired vessels who penned them.
There is only one paraklētos,
1Jo 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate (paraklētos) with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
Joh 14:26 But the Comforter (paraklētos), which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Act 5:3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
Act 5:4 While it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
lied unto Theos,
So we have in these few verses, that the Comforter is the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit is Theos (God), and the Comforter who is our Advocate is Christ.

JESUS IS YHWH MANIFEST IN THE FLESH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who is the true God?
A. God
1. Jeremiah 10:10 But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation. 2. John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
B. Jesus
1. 1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
XVII. To Whom is glory to be given?
A. God
1. Isaiah 42:8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. 2. Isaiah 48:11 For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another. 3. Malachi 2:2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart. 4. Revelation 7:9-12 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. 11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, 12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. 5. Revelation 14:6-7 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, 7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
B. Jesus
1. Matthew 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 2. Matthew 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 3. Luke 2:32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel. 4. Hebrews 13:20-21 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
5. 2 Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. 6. Revelation 5:11-12 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; 12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
XVIII. Are we to honor the Son just as we honor the Father?
A. John 5:21-23 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. 22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: 23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. B. John 12:44-45 Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. 45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. C. John 10:27-33 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 30 I and my Father are one. 31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. 32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I showed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? 33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. D. John 14:7-9 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. 8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?
1. Hebrews 1:1-3 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
XIX. Is Jesus Yahweh (Jehovah)?
A. Jeremiah 23:5-6 "Behold, the days are coming," says the LORD (Yahweh), "That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; A King shall reign and prosper, And execute judgment and righteousness in the earth. 6 In His days Judah will be saved, And Israel will dwell safely; Now this is His name by which He will be called: THE LORD (Yahweh) OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
XX. Is Jesus God with us?
A. Isaiah 7:14 "Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel (Immanuw'el, im-maw-noo-ale'; from H5973 and H410 with suff. pron. ins.; with us (is) God) Strong’s.
XXI. Was God manifest in the flesh?
A. 1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
XXII. Is Jesus equal with God?
A. John 5:18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.
XXIII. Are we to address Jesus as God?
A. John 20:24-29 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. 26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. 27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. 28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. 29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
XXIV. Unto Whom will every knee bow?
A. God
1. Isaiah 45:21-23 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me. 22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. 23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
B. Jesus
1. Philippians 2:10-11 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
XXV. For Whom was the way prepared by John the Baptist?
A. God
1. Malachi 3:1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts. 2. Isaiah 40:3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. 3. Matthew 11:10 For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
XXVI. Who rewards every man according to their works?
A. God
1. Psalms 62:11-12 God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God. 12 Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work. 2. Isaiah 40:10 Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. 3. Psalms 54:4-5 Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. 5 He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth. 4. Psalms 94:1-2 O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, show thyself. 2 Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud. 5. Isaiah 62:11 Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.
B. Jesus
1. Revelation 22:12-13 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 2. Matthew 16:27-28 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. 28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
XXVII. Who is the Light?
A. God
1. Psalms 18:28 For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness. 2. Psalms 27:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 3. Psalms 36:7-9 How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. 8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. 9 For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. 4. Isaiah 2:5 O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD. 5. Isaiah 60:19-20 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. 20 Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended. 6. Micah 7:8-9 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me. 9 I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.
B. Jesus
1. John 1:1-4 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 2. John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. 3. John 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
XXIII. Go tell them what great things God has done.
A. Whom will they look upon and who was pierced? God is speaking in Zechariah 12:10, "And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look upon ME, the one they have pierced...." (emphasis on ME added.) So we see it was God who was pierced in the above passage, and yet, Jesus Christ was pierced on the cross by a Roman soldier in John 19:34," Instead [of breaking his legs] one of the soldiers pierced Jesus' side with a spear..." So when God was pierced Jesus was pierced. "Look, he is coming with the clouds and every eye shall see him, even those who pierced him....I am the Alpha and the Omega says the Lord God who is, and who was, and who is to come the Almighty." (Rev 1:7 & 8) Jesus Christ is the "Almighty" according to this verse. We don't have two "Almighty" Gods, only one.
Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess to whom? God: "That unto me [God] every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear." Isa 45:23. Jesus: "That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow....And every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Phl 2:10-11.

I will stick to the truth of the WORD of God Terral; and you can just copy/paste your little colored pie charts and deceptive graphs, and heretical theology filtered through mis-interpretation, trying to put YHWH in a little box.
The Word of God declares that Jesus is YHWH manifest in the flesh.
1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Jesus IS GOD!
a. The Father is God. Eph. 1:2
b. Jesus is God. John 1:1, 5:18, 20:28, Isa. 9:6, Heb. 1:16, 8, 10-12, Rev. 1:8, Rev. 22:12,13
c. The Holy Spirit is God. Acts 5:3-4, Gen. 1:2
d. There is only One God. Deut. 6:4, John 17:3, Isa. 42-48
These four points shown in above order will help you prove the Trinity with most people who are skeptical about this vital doctrinal issue.
2 Peter says there is a Person called the Father, and he's God. And Acts chapter 5 says there is a person called the Spirit and he's God.
And John 1 says there is a person called the Word and he's God.
"The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen."-II Cor. 13:14

Greetings Terral, Who do you say that Yeshua is?
Will you one day bow down to Yeshua and worship Him?
Who do you say that Yeshua is? Just the Son of God? Just the mediator? Anything more?
Are you a proponant of the 2-house philosophy? Judah/Jews and Ephraim/Gentiles?
I am trying to see your point of view but you are a little vague? Maybe you could explain it in more simple terms.
Thanks and Shalom

1. Hebrews 1:1-3 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

B. The True God
We believe in one living and true God who is the Creator of heaven and earth; who is eternal, almighty, unchangeable, infinitely powerful, wise, just and holy.
We believe that the one God eternally exists in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; and that these three are one God, co-equal and co-eternal, having precisely the same nature and attributes, and worthy of precisely the same worship, confidence, and obedience. Matthew 3:16, 17; Matthew 28:19, 20; Mark 12:29; John 1:14; Acts 5:3, 4; II Corinthians 13:14.
C. God the Father
We believe in God the Father, Creator and Sustainer of all things, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; that He sent His Son into the world; that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Genesis 1:1; Psalms 7:9; Matthew 5:48; John 3:16; Acts 13:17-25; Acts 14:15-17; Acts 17:24-28.
D. The Person and Work of Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, that He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and is fully God and fully Man. We believe that our redemption has been accomplished solely by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, who was made to be sin, and made a curse for us, dying in our place that we might be forgiven. We believe that He died not only for our sins, but also for the sins of the entire world. We believe that He was raised from the dead in bodily form and that He ascended into heaven, where He sits at the right hand of God the Father interceding for us.
We believe in the personal, bodily, imminent and pre-millennial return of our Lord Jesus Christ for His Church and His subsequent millennial reign over restored Israel and the kingdoms of the world. Luke 1:30-35; 2:7; John 1:1-4; Romans 9-11; Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 1:13-19; Hebrews 1:1-3; I Peter 3:18; I Corinthians 15:3-7; Hebrews 7:25; Acts 1:11, 15:14-17; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; I John 2:2.
E. The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is not merely an influence, but a divine Person; that He is the source and power of all acceptable worship and service and is our abiding Counselor and Helper. We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit occurs at the moment of conversion and is that act whereby believers are united with Christ as part of His body; that the Holy Spirit permanently indwells all believers in Christ; that He will never depart from the Church nor from the weakest believer; that by His indwelling the believer is enabled to live a godly life. John 14:16,17; 16:13-15; Acts 1:8; 5:3,4; Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 6:19; 12:13; Galatians 5:22,23.
The Three who are One God, were present at the Baptism of Christ.
Matt. 3: 16: And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
God the Holy Spirit, HE who indwells Believers:
John 14: 26: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
The prayer of God the Son to God the Father:
John 17: : These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: 2: As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 3: And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. 4: I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. 5: And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. 6: I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. 7: Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. 8: For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. 9: I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. 10: And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. 11: And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. 12: While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. 13: And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. 14: I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15: I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 16: They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17: Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 18: As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19: And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. 20: Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21: That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22: And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. 24: Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. 25: O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. 26: And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

I have a question concerning this topic.
2 Cor 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
According to this verse, God/Jesus is the Holy Spirit.
How do we get a trinity out of 2, God and His Son?
-------------------- Deut 31:6 "Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you."
