Texas Grandma,

Thank you very much for your posting of this information. Israel is the apple of God's eye and the United States absolutely must stand by Israel in all respects. I would think that the current administration should know that through reading their bible. We must continue to pray for Israel and stand by them. We need to pray for the current administration to realize what they are doing.

Dear Betty,

The clarion call is ringing out across this nation! The shrill tones of the trumpet are reverberating loudly and clearly. The warning is sounding as never before. The United States is in grave danger of turning her back on the tiny nation of Israel, of forcing Israel to bow to the terms and conditions of the Road Map, but without the insistence that the Palestinian Authority meet the requirements set forth for them!

Please do just three things today! SIGN THE PETITION asking President Bush not to demand that Israel forsake Gaza; then, PRAY fervently for our President and for this nation. We must have God’s blessings over this land. Now, please FORWARD this email to everyone on your list, and ask them to sign.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice spent recent days in Israel and the Palestinian Authority pushing the gasping Road Map plan. Ms. Rice fielded questions from reporters in a press briefing en route to the Middle East. When questioned about Gaza, Secretary Rice stated,”…the real point about Gaza is not to stop with Gaza. The President has been clear, we’ve been clear with the Israelis that it cannot be Gaza only; there has to be a day after the successful withdrawal from the Gaza.”

She continued, “But as the President has said, without a successful withdrawal from the Gaza -- and I mean one that’s peaceful, where the Palestinians are able afterwards to establish authority and to begin to govern, where there is some hope for the Palestinian people in terms of economic development, where the Palestinian institutions are left in better shape after the Gaza withdrawal and therefore begin to build the institutions of statehood that the successful conclusion of both conditions will lead to greater confidence between the parties, greater trust between the parties and, I believe, an ability to accelerate progress on the roadmap. That’s why we really have to stay focused on the Gaza withdrawal.”

While the U.S. Secretary of State was busily making plans for Israel to concede yet more land, a young Palestinian woman, a suicide bomber, was making plans to cross into Israel for medical treatment. And, just how did that 21-year-old Palestinian woman plan to say “thank you” for the medical care she received in the Israeli hospital? She concealed 10 kilograms of explosives beneath her burqa, and planned to detonate her explosive underpinnings in the middle of a “crowded area in the hospital.” Wafa al-Bas who had been burned in a cooking accident, was receiving treatments for her burns on humanitarian grounds at a Beersheba hospital.

Bas had been recruited by the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, an offshoot of Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah faction. When she was stopped at the terminal crossing, she tried several times to detonate her explosives, but failed. She has since appealed for mercy since she “didn’t kill anyone.” Bas was asked how she could target innocent people. She replied, "What innocent people" and then said "they are innocent people and we are all terrorists?"

The Israeli security forces had received a tip that Fatah planned a suicide attack. The PA and Mahmoud Abbas were alerted, but nothing was done to stop the attack. An Israeli journalist wrote that it was clear she had been indoctrinated. She parroted the PA media with statements about “Shahada” or dying for Allah.

In view of the fact that the U.S. recently donated another $50 million to the PA, a friend of the Jerusalem Prayer Team who lives in Jerusalem asked some very pointed questions about that gift, and about this latest suicide attempt:

* After almost 15 years of foreign aid (American tax dollars, European tax Euros, and World Bank Funds, etc.,) why do Palestinians need to be at the mercy of the “hated Israelis and Jews” for their medical care?

* Why have they not created hospitals and educated doctors? Could the reason be that they are so focused on our death that they have no desire or resources left to consider quality of life for their people?

* Does anyone ask themselves how it is that the “evil occupier Israelis” not only treat people who swear to kill them, but who are paying for these expensive treatments?

It is time for the U.S. to say unequivocally to the Palestinians that they must accept the right of the Jewish people even to exist. This recognition must be accompanied by the abandonment of the demands for the “right of return.” It must further be exemplified by a total abandonment of terrorism and the forceful disarming, if necessary, of the groups that refuse to comply. And, it is imperative that no further U.S. tax-payer dollars be dispensed to line the pockets of Abbas and his PA henchmen.

Please sign the petition to President Bush today! This will be the last opportunity to make yourself heard on this issue.

Now, please take a moment to forward this to your friends, and ask them to sign.

Thank you,

Mike D. Evans
