My other suggestion I was thinking of was that you change it to "Show all topics" by default, rather than "Show topics from last 30 days".

The way it is now, new people don't see very much on the boards since it's hiding topic from over 30 days ago.

I'm surprised how many people register and then don't post anything. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me why people do that...

I don't understand this either as we get a lot of people sign up but no one posts.
