Ron Paul is my kind of Baptist. RPM ministries ;)Tennessee is kikin lately. Lots of christians are happening there.

Recently a piano player died who was from there. If you have seen Bill Gaither's programs you have seen him. Anthony Burger.

Some years ago I was in Tyler Texas. I was watching a lightening storm up towards Lindale. The LIghtening bolts caught my observation. They were huge, and straight, unlike what I am used to seeing. Next day I was in a restaurant where I overheard some people talking about the preacher who died in that storm. I didn't think much of it. I didn't know that I knew the preacher. He was Keith Green. HE was a warm addition to the Christian musical family back around the early eighties. It was hard. A plane full of family and friends went down in the storm.

That was a tearful moment. Thanks for the reference becausehelives and knowhim. I cannot tell you how many times I listened to Keith's tapes back when I was a fairly young Christian. I loved Keith Green in Christ, in a big way, as did so many. When he passed, I went into prayer for Melody Green, and the other children, unlike I have never prayed in my life. Jesus and me are having an intense moment.

2nd Chapter of Acts was there in Tyler Texas. They were also one of the groups that I listened to. They were just awsome to Christian Rock. I remember letting a naysaying Church of God person listen to one of my tapes of them once. To my delight he was amazed at what he heard when he considered the lyrics at the same time.

Personally I do not think that a whole lot has happened since their time. There are a lot of people following in these guys footsteps, but more of them than not, are not inspirational to me. The heart is not in it for them.
