The girl I am dating and I are about to part ways. I am about to cry that it hurts so much. She's the perfect girl for me but as some of you know she wants to date someone from her own demnomination. She recently got me into loving God and I am doing that on my own and not for her. Perhaps I will meet someone in church.

I will pray that the pain goes away and that she will be happy whomever she ends up with. I just want to love someone that I am crazy about and it's a shame she feels she has to date other people despite us having such a wonderful time when we are together.

If she didn't enjoy my time I would be as upset. But when she tells me that she is beginning to have feelings for me but her pastor said that this isn't right is what hurts.

So can anyone give me some good religious advise? Is this God just testing us? Do you believe if God wanted us to be together we would? Please help me:(

Hon,

I will tell you what I told my son in February. He fell hard for a lady at his Church and she did not feel the same way for him. He was so brokenhearted, it made me cry. But, God has someone special for both of you. His timing is not ours. I wish I could wrap my arms around you, son and take away your pain. But I could not do it for my son nor can I do it for you. Talk to God. Tell him about your pain. He does care about your hurts. He will comfort you. How do I know this? My hubby and I had a 3 year separation years ago. God was my source of comfort and He saw through many dark nights of tears. I will tell you this. I am not the same Christian I was back then. I have grown up alot in the Lord because of the separation. I believe the devil attacked our marriage but God used this to help me to grow. Look at what you are going through as a growing experience. One day if the Lord tarries, you may be encouraging someone young person with the experience that you had now.
God bless you.

Thanks for that! Well she called me last night and wanted to have "the talk" So she ended up breaking up with me for the reasons I mentioned before. She said some of our dates were the best she ever had but since my faith wasn't on par with her's at this point she felt it was best.

I'm just going to follow your advice and pray for me to get through this period strong.

You're so sweet Tx Grandma:)

Have a nice day!
