Three Monkeys
Three monkeys sat in a coconut tree
Discussing things as they're said to be;
Said one to the others, "Now listen, you two,
There's a certain rumor that can't be true,
That man's descended from our noble race.
The very idea!....I'ts a dire disgrace;
No monkey ever deserted his wife,
Starved her baby, and ruined her life,
And you've never known a mother monk
To leave her babies with others to bunk
Or pass them on from one to another
'Til they scarcely know who is their mother.
And another thing! You'll never see
A monk build a fence 'round a coconut tree,
And let the coconuts go to waste,
Forbidding all other monks a taste.
Why, if I put a fence around this tree
Starvation would force you to steal from me.
Here's another thing a monk won't do:
Go out at night and get in a stew;
Or use a gun, or club, or knife
To take some other monkeys life.
Yes, man descended, the ornery cuss
But, brothers, he didn't descend from us!"

Yes, man desended, from the Kingdom of God we fell into the animal kingdom, and all those "monks", apes and such were already here.
We can get back to the Kingdom of God, or we can remain in this animal kingdom and be just another "yard-ape".

I kinda thought the Scriptures were quite clear that mankind didn't decend from any other species--The Lord created man ...but your story is funny and I can understand that if animals could think, that the ape just might be rather miffed with the idea that man is related to them. [Big Eyes]
