Dear God,

Today I remember all those who have given their lives to ensure freedom and liberty for mankind. At the top of that list is Jesus, my Lord and Savior. Then I remember faithful Christian martyrs and missionaries, and the men and women who serve in our military.

All have stood against the enemy. All have fought evil. All have sacrificed. Thank You Jesus, for Your loving sacrifice and precious gift of eternal life. I pray for the families of those who have died for the cause of Christ and those who have died defending freedom and what is right.

I pray that You will fill their hearts with a good sense of pride in what their loved ones gave and that You will comfort, guide, and lift up these people. I pray that they will lean on You and trust in You for all things; that they will come to know You as Lord and Savior if they do not already have that relationship with You. Please protect all of Your servants and bless according to Your will. In Jesus' name, amen.
