Hi: I would like to ask your prayers that God will lead us in the way that He wills us to go in these next days and weeks and Keep us in peace and strength and faith.

I just received news that my husband's position as a Vendor Rep for a large publishing company has been elminated and they are going to field merchandisers.

This Job, God gave to us several years ago and it allowed us a tremendous amount of freedom to be at home with our kids for school functions and anything else we needed; it provided a very lucerative income for us and had many other perks, paid our cell phone bill and home office supplies; reimbursed a large amount of gasoline and other travel expenses and my husband was able to work with other companies in his travels with his expenses covered by this one.

This could potentially be a major huge big change in our life and in our financial situation. This position represents about 1/2 of our income, but the covered expenses that are lost mean much more.

I know that God has a plan and does not shut a door lest he opens a widow. It was HE who gave us this job and HE who will give us the next, but we do covet the prayers of our brothers and sisters. Times like this are always bitter sweet. You look with anticipation of what is to come now and a certain amount of sadness regarding what has been and is now lost. So just pray for us that God will continue to lead us along the path of HIS Perfect will.

Of course, I will pray. I am so sorry. You know it would be so much easier to do will change if God would send us a letter or call on the phone and explain things in advance. Trusting on the unknown is so hard. [crying]
but hang in there. There will be alot of praying for you and your family.

Well, I just talked to Hal who is on the road and whom I had to give the news to. I said I dont know what we are gonna do but I know that God does.

Hal was so positive. He did not seem worried at all; had a list of reasons why this is a positive for us and another list of things that he is now gonna be able to do and has not had time to do and reminded me that while we will miss some of the perks we will also not put out so much money during a month either.

Honestly, I had been talking with God about my missing Hal a lot; we used to go together a lot when he travels but lately the other work that we do has kept me here tied to the desk and him on the road 3 days every week. We have always for 14 years worked together except when he drove a truck for a short time after we closed our shop. And we both really hate being apart. We are each other's best friends and so we really just dont like not being together 24/7 if we could. So this will change his travel a lot so that he will only have to go overnight during 2 weeks out of the month.

I am relieved that he was not stressed; I just feel like he works hard and stress is not needed. But he was so positiive! I am very blessed to have a husband with great faith and trust in God.

Thanks for your prayers. Like I said it is sort of bitter sweet. There are things I will miss. Expense paid trips in the moutains have been nice. I will miss those. But I am also looking forward to what God will do with us now. I just hope that what ever it is it will allow us the freedom that we have had with setting our schedule because Desi has this year and one more at home before she is off to college and it is important to us to be there when she needs us to be and the same with our grandson.

Our expenses are pretty low that we could keep them up even if he lost all work; it would not be hard to replace the income to pay our rent and other bills; but our discressionary money is now going to change in a big way till he replaces this work. I am sure our daughter in college and our oldest will not like this because we help them a lot. But oh well they are big girls now.

You are so blessed to have a Christian husband who is solid in the faith. My husband is a baby Christian and while I am so thankful he is saved, it is physically and emotionally draining to hold him up when bad things happend. I spend all my time dealing with his doubts that I am often exhausted.
