Thank you everyone so much for your prayers and well wishes -- you know I am ready and willing to send my prayer out for you in return. Well, UPDATE #2 here.

Got my test results back this evening, and the good news is that my symptoms all make sense and the good doctor knows exactly what to do for me. The not-so-good news is that I am walking a tight rope indeed, healthwise. I am a type-2 diabetic (I already knew this) but my bout with 2+ years of being without a home, and forced to self-diagnose myself whenever a health problem would occur (for complete lack of funds to pay for medical help back then) has apparently taken its toll.

Fortunately none of my organs are failing, but my blood test numbers were such that I am want not to reveal them here. My entire diet will have to change (even with the changes I had already developed into "healthier" routines) and I am to go on 3 different types of medication--including a blood pressure pill.

I actually feel, for want of a better term, silently overjoyed. Because God has blessed me with a personable physician who is eager to get me well--and down to earth enough that I can easily talk and communicate openly with, who is mindful of my need for treatment versus my less-than-stellar finances. And who describes the treatments and medications in ways that even I can grasp what is going on! I feel like the Lord has led me to this man.

My condition is serious, but now I actually see the Lord's hand at work, and I am given hope. My request for your continued prayers is now that my finances will hold out (my insurance isn't the greatest) as I proceed with treatment.

God has opened a few financial doors even just tonight, but I pray that the extra money will be there down the road as I need it, without straining my current situation. Living paycheck to paycheck is not a fun lifestyle, and I pray God will put me on the path to "the next level" here too. Especially with these new medical expenses. I ask for inclusion in your prayer list for this.

Placing my all into His hands. Going forward in faith.

I am thankful that you are getting treatment and will keep you on my prayer list. I too don't have insurance although I have never been homeless and I am grateful for that. But, I put my health in jeopardy in January when I tried to doctor myself with over the counter drugs. I think it is appealing that in America where we have the best medical care in the world that there are too many people without health care.
Veterans too are suffering because of all the cuts in funding for that. I heard on the news tonight that a small town in Washington is going to be broke because they have to use all their funds to treat a person in jail waiting for trial for beating his wife to death because he got cancer. It seems crimmanls get health care but people like me don't. Anyway sorry to get on the soap box, and I will be praying for you.

Brother Mohawk,

I'm glad to hear you went to see a doctor. My father is also a type 2 diabetic and I know how expensive it can be. Did you purchase a suger level tester yet? If not let me know, my email is galatians_2_10@yahoo.com. I'll keep you in my prayer.

May GOD's grace and love be with you.
