Hello Everyone. This is my first post, and I hope that you will take a brief moment and say a quick prayer so that the Lord will remove our financial burdens. Yes, I know that eliminating internet is a way of saving money, and we certainly are considering it. I have stayed home with our 4 children for 12 years, working part-time evenings. Of late there has been a reduction in my work causing significant strain on our finances. We ask that you pray with us in helping send someone to purchase our car so that we may down-size in car payments. Also, our house is on the market, but we've had absolutely no takers. If someone knows of an honest, Christian-based work from home business, I would be interested in that as well. My husband is also interested in interviewing for a better position - and has an interview on April 11. Pray that it goes according to God's will. Thank you for your support and prayer.

Let me tell you right off the bat, I would never consider saying you have to get rid of the internet. The internet can be used of God for a source of encouragement to you and for a way for you to encourage others.
What I am going to do is pray that God will open doors for you. Lets pray in an agreement that God will bring you through this trial in a way that will bring glory to His Holy Name.
God bless and keep you!

I had two Christian grandmas. One was indeed a blessing to me. We called her Grannie. She was the sweetest woman I ever knew. She lived to be almost 80 and as long as I knew her (30 plus years), she never had a cross word to say about anyone. The other one well, she had gotten mixed up in a Church that believed they were the only ones going to Heaven because the women did not wear wedding rings nor wore pants or cut their hair. She always looked down on everybody and was always telling me how my parents were going to hell because they were wearing wedding rings.
Unfortantly, I am not a great person like Grannie but I don't look down on people and I don't put on no airs. If you met me in person you would meet a 52 year old lady that is shy in person but acts the same as she does here.
God bless you! Hang in there. I have been through some rough times over the years. We lost our house years ago when husband was going through his agnostic time. I can't say that it was easy for me. But, I can tell you that God saw me through. I am trusting God to provide for you. I believe if my husband had trusted God things would have gone better for us. But, Praise the Lord 15 years later, husband did get saved. His family were all unbelievers. His mom did get right with God the year before she died and there is some indication that his dad did on his death bed. God is faithful! Don't give up. The Bible says for us to encourage ourselves in the Lord. So, when that mean old devil starts feeling your head with discouraging thoughts, you remind him, that you are a child of the King.
Your Heavenly Father owns the whole world. I am praying for you and looking forward to one day reading your testimony of how God got your through this. For now, just keep praising the Lord!

Welcome Calypso - nice to have you on this board. [Smile]

Dear Lord I'm praying that you will give this family wisdom in order to lift the financial burdens from their lives. If it is your will, give Calypso's husband favour when he goes in for the interview for a new job on April 11. I'm releasing all prayers for answers regarding the sale of the house and car.

I agree with TexasGrandma that you shouldn't get rid of the internet. It is a great way to keep in touch with fellow brothers and sisters to help uplift you in your spiritual growth. Plus, it may be an avenue for a new career opportunity.
