I would ask for prayers for our 17 year old son. Please pray that he will not lose sight of the importance of his family and that his belief in God will sustain him through the pitfalls that he will encounter in his life. And selfishly, I would ask for your prayers for me...I am having such a hard time in this relationship with my son. Our Father has seen me through so many "hiccups" in my life, but I need him again, and sometimes, my faith is not as strong as it should be. "If God brings me to it, He will see me through it"...I have to keep saying that to myself, as I see my faith start to waiver. Guess I'm not a very faithful follower if I question my faith, huh?

Sorry if I've rambled on, but I humbly ask for your prayers for my son and our family. Many thanks.

Hi mom, I think everyone has heard that going through your teen years is the hardest time of your life. And for most people it could very well be the most difficult time. However, I take exception to the thought after raising 4 kids and going through their teen years. I believe that, without any doubt, that being the parent of a teen is really the most difficult time in any person’s life. I will be praying for you and your son that God will bring you through and that you will not loose faith but He will use this time in your lives to increase your faith. My children now have teens of their own and I am praying for them as well as others. My wife and I had to work really heard during this period and it is wonderful to see what God has done in the lives of my children. And I can truly tell you it was what God did that caused my children to survive their teens, as there were many problems that seemed to me to have no solution. Jesus is the answer, hang in there mom, keep praying, there is light at the end of the trip.

May God richly bless you,
Pastor Dave

Hello,
Please don't be discouraged. Even the most devout christian has doubts from time to time about their faith. It's those times that we NEED to go to the Lord a seek His guidance and His wisdom. Keep praying AND loving your son. God will lead both of you if you let Him. I'm praying for both of you.
God Bless!
