My granson is 7 yrs old. His mother married last March. the man is 22 yrs her senior and has mental problems.
I have not heard from my daughter in over a month. They live a few minutes from here. Husband once gave her an ultimatum: him or her family. Seems she chose him. This guy is suppose to be on meds for multiple personalities but he refuses. Anyway, my 5 yr old tried to call there tonight to talk to my grandson. yes, he is older than her. The man naswered and slammed the phone down in my 5 yr olds ear. We called again thinking it was a mistake. He did it to he again.
I callled this time and asked for my grandson. He slammed the phone down on me as well.
I want my grandparental rights!
Any idea what to do? I know prayer is the first step. Hopefully the only step.
I'm afraid of what he is doing with my daughter and grandson.
We all were close until the mancame along.

Thanks for your prayers and thoughts.

Oh Susan, what a shame! I am so sorry, I will pray for all your concerns here.

You are not alone on this, families are being ripped apart daily, satan is dancin about it. [mad2]

I am not sure about rights and stuff, I think that would just lead to a big fightin mess... [Bang Head]

is your son-in-law opposed to you Susan, because of his mental health problems, or a resistance to your Christianity?
the law is different in many countries (even States i expect) in respect of mental health patients ... but, it is usually the case that if a child is involved, family members can ask the courts to ensure that their health, physical and mental, is protected.
many schizophrenics become agitated by contact with formal religions. this is why in olden times people thought they were possessed by evil spirits. i often wonder if the bold truth is that they are. in this era of political correctness i'm not certain if we are supposed to think along those lines. there can be a fine line between mad and bad.
there are many difficulties in your situation, and i hope our prayers support you through this period.
God Bless you and your family.

Susan, i am so sorry to hear this news. I dont know what to say that can make it any easier for you. Separation from a loved one is very tough.

Father, please help Susan to feel better with your love. Until the matter can be resolved lord may you fill Susan with your spirit of love, peace and hope. We cry out to your lord to let Susan see her grandson again very soon, may you act lord in the best way according to your will. Change the son in law to accept you lord, let him find jesus to end his personal torment. May the family be reunited. AMEN
