“Also note that, under 18 U.S.C. § 925(a)(1), these restrictions would not apply to the receipt of firearms shipped to a political subdivision of a state for official purposes,” Longnecker said.

Baseball fans read this very carefully.

On Monday, the Second Amendment Foundation and Gun Owners of America also joined a letter with three other gun-rights groups calling for the Republican-controlled Pennsylvania legislature to investigate the matter. As first reported by Ammoland, the gun groups focused their ire on Shapiro and called on the House Speaker Brian Cutler (R.) to act on the incident.

“Mr. Shapiro and his office know this was illegal as he has prosecuted individuals for exactly these actions,” the group’s said. “It is the duty and responsibility of the Pennsylvania General Assembly to therefore investigate—and if necessary—hold our Attorney General accountable for any violations of the law or his oath of office that may have occurred.”

NBC News appears to have violated state and federal laws while producing a television special hit piece on “ghost guns,” according to a coalition of five 2nd Amendment organizations. Firearms website The Reload says NBC reporter Vaughn Hillyard,

Who lives in New York, purchased a Polymer80 80% lower kit at a gun show near Philadelphia (outside his home state) and then gave the kit to special agents of the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General to finish the firearm may have violated state and federal laws.

2 Amendment-rights groups called on authorities to investigate the purchase and transfer: “Our alarms were raised because of the possible felonies that may have been committed by the reporter and the office of Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro.

Wow, another "dirty" FBI SET UP!

"You don't get a pass simply by working for NBC," Alan Gottlieb, head of the Second Amendment Foundation, said in a statement.

The questionable report is only the latest in a long line of incidents where reporters have broken the very gun laws they set out to show are too weak.

Hum? a gunman who killed his wife and a teenager his class mates with a Casper ? Not that we don't buy how you all end this story, could you please release the names Of said "gunman" and "teenager" and the arrest record numbers so we can look this up for our selves. And we know you posted every thing about that teenager that was exercising his 2nd and went even as far to try and convict him in your Media Court before he had a chance for his day in court. So don't tell the base ball fans you need parental permission.

This whole story sounds rather spooky.
