Just some thoughts that I've been pondering.

Everyone that I've met that believes that there is no absolute truth believes this absolutely.

Those that believe in no absolute truth often make the absolute statement that it is wrong to force your beliefs on others. However, this is a belief that they insistantly force upon others.

Many believe that there is no such thing as right and wrong. To these people, there is nothing more wrong than to assume that there is such a distinction between right and wrong.

Many believe that there is no such thing as good and evil, but it is all based on perception. However, they would certainly view my actions as evil if I were to punch them in the face.

There are many people that don't believe in heaven and hell. To this, I say, let me know when you get there, if there is not in fact a chasm fixed between you and I.

There are many who believe that the Bible has been corrupted by men. These people often quote the Bible when it suits their purposes.

There are many that say we should not trust the Bible, because it was written by men. To this I say, don't trust you science, mathematics and history books either, then.

There are many that say that they don't have faith in anything. To this I say, then don't have faith in the doctor when he prescribes you medication for your cancer.

There are many people who believe that God is good, but He has not chosen to reveal Himself through scripture. To this I say, what good Father would leave His children in the dark?

There are many people that assign human attributes to God. To this I say, no wonder you don't follow Him.

There are many that believe that everything came from nothing. To them I say, prove it.

In Christ,
Billy.

What did I say once, over on the Christianity Debate forum? I think it was to those who lean on science and evolution for their source. But I said, no one can prove God. What these people do not get is that no one can disprove Him either. But being excited that they have 'evidence' that there is no God, they are blind to the fact that they cannot disprove Him.

But we have science they say! Yes! But a good scientist doesn't draw a conclusion until all the evidence is in, though he may theorize. And the evidence that they think they have so far is inconclusive! All of the evidence is not in, therefore they cannot say without reservation, that they are correct. Therefore, they are putting their 'faith' in what they know so far. I however would rather put my faith in what I know so far, based on the written account.
