What does it mean to be risen with Him from the dead. If Jesus is a mere distant reality, did HE just leave us on our own, with a record of His having been here, to see what we would do with the record of his being here? Is that what we will be judged upon when HE returns? Does HE leave it up to us? I mean, do we get a test when we die, to see if we believed the Bible?

If such is the case, how is one then, 'risen' with Him from the dead? Perhaps then it is purely future tense to which this refers, based on what we thought while here. But some will not wait for that. I won't - not if HE can be found.

So, how does one know that he is risen from the dead?

The bible is not only a record of His arrival and departure. It is a revelation of His interaction with man. If such is purely future tense, then how do we explain the expressed interaction that starts with Genesis, and continues to the end of the books? Did HE leave out interaction with us inbetween Acts and Revelation? Where did HE go then?

So, if we cannot rise above sin, He left us helpless without Him, until such a time as we encounter Him again. Yet, if we are helpless against sin, why does HE yet inform us to be free from it?

You see, so many see what HE did on the Cross as covering some future event, which we qualify for without really knowing how. (Oh, there is some formula but...) They do not see it as the 'beginning of interaction' wherein His visitation liberates us from bondage; for HE is away somewhere, just waiting like for a presidential election, to see the results as they come in. If that is the God you serve, I stand in doubt of you. Wake up to relationship, now!

Moses was a 'type' of Christ. When Israel was delivered from Egypt, they were free to enjoy the joy of the Lord. When they were 'freed' they entered the beginning of relationship with their God. What became of it?

But we avoid that by investing our heart into who HE is, and what HE does. HE doesn't need our help, but rather our participation, by belief, that we may be used of Him! The heart must be right first that the Spirit may flow. Worry about the heart first.
