Please explain what you mean by "house church" doctrine?

Yes it really depends on what you think it is. There are many wonderful house churches. Which in my opinion are closer to a real church then the Institutional Churches.

Whether you meet in a house or a Church, what is the most important is that you are hearing the truth of the Gospel. It is the message that is important, not where you meet. I myself, like having a Church family. We meet at Church on Sundays but in houses all week long.

"House church" - this would'nt be where a person's home/domicile is a tax-exempt religious entity would it??

If so - it's an area that can get into some REALLY interesting socio-political or economic situations. [Wink]

What is "house church doctrine"? Never heard of it...and the group I attend meets in homes.

Unless you are referring to "The house church movement" of which followers of Witness Lee continue to this day. If so I would say that the movement erred when it sought to bring all "house churches" under one governing authority. In short: it became too much like the structure it despised, institutional religion.
