What are the fruits of false teachings?

Posted by helpforhomeschoolers (Member # 15) on :

Fruit that looks like figs, but is gathered of thorns and looks like grapes but is gathered of bramble.

False teacher's produce false fruit.

The greatest tragedy of false teaching today is I believe people who are drawn not to God, but to what false teachers have made to be god and thus they are not drawn to salvation or what can save them.

People come to Christianity looking for bigger cars and houses more time and money... more blessing more peace... more control... more power... even more joy

Too few come looking for the grace to repent of sin and be saved.

This is because they are drawn not by God, but by the promises of false teachers who scratch their itching fleshly ears.

False teachers produce un repentant; unsaved; unvictorious sinners that cannot figure out why they have no peace joy and power in the Holy Ghost though they have all the right books on their shelves and all the right tapes and cd's in their players and all the right emblems on their cars and think all the postive affirmations and give God exactly their 10% and go to church every Sunday and Bible Study on Wednesday and rebuke the devil (who laughs at them) on tuesday and thursday and friday and saturday and plead the blood over their cars every morning and gave thanks to God for the loan that they got to buy a bigger car/boat/house/TV (even though his word says to be a lender and not a borrower).

It produces sinners who call themselves Christians and have no root and cannot stand in the persecution and have no victory over their fleshly desires and are overwhelmed by their lives that are just as broke and in bondage and sick and depressed and filled with the cares of this world as any heathen... and are just as hell bound though they think they are Christians.

Are you saying that those who have the true teachings, no longer sin? Or, are those with the most amount of correct teachings allowed to sin more often than others?

I am saying that only the true word of God can produce a born again child of God or be the power unto salvation..beget a new creature who is born of God...convert a sinner to a saint.

You can't grow wheat by seeding a feild with Darnell.

A false teacher cannot seed a field with Wheat because he has no wheat to sow..else he would be a TRUTH teacher. Even the truth mixed with a little bit of lie, makes the truth to be a lie.

GOd's word does not return void, but it must be God's word.

I do believe that the Bible says that the one who is born again of God.. begotten of God is no more a sinnner.

Though I do realize people do not like that verse; it makes them uncomfortable because they do not believe that they are really new creatures...a whole new being; one who is not what they used to be; they do not understand no more being a sinner and still having sin... and they do not understand that the born of God does not and cannot sin, and if any man does sin we have an advocate, so they continue to call themselves sinners.

Actually, that verse says, "Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God." 1 John 3:9.

Based on that, a true teacher would say that one who is born of God no longer sins, while a false teacher would say that it's OK to believe you are born of God if you keep on sinning, as long as you believe me, or do as I say. Right?

How To Identify A Dangerous Religious Group

Also look at the personal fruit of the teachers life.

Do you see Christ like humbleness being displayed
or
Do you see a person where it's all about them, they have to be the center.

Are they living extravagantly, fancy clothes, big house, expensive cars, private jet, (they are STUFF oriented), and always asking you to send money.
or
Are they living modestly, good stewards of Yahweh's money, caring more about the needs of others than their comfort.

I skimmed through the tract on dangerous religious groups and was quite amused. Is anyone aware of the situation where Ananias and Sapphira lied to Peter about money, and died? Another one of Jesus' disciples committed suicide. Are these not signs of a dangerous religious group? What do you think the media would do with stories like that today?

Yes, the fruit of the teacher's life is important. But consider the life of Jesus. Here was a 30 year old kid that had never been to college. He had no job, no money, no wife or kids. Besides that, he was homeless, and had only one set of clothes. And on top of that, He claimed to be sent of God. If someone like that approached you, wouldn't you consider him dangerous, if not delusional?

All this stuff you listed is NOT personal fruit in someones life - It may be by the worlds standards, but not according to Biblical standards.

Galatians 5:22-23
(22) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
(23) gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

The fruit is our CHARACTER - who we are.

John 15:1-6
(1) "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
(2) "Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.
(3) "You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
(4) "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.
(5) "I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
(6) "If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned.

The fruit is produced in us as we abide [to remain; not to depart; to continue to be present; to be held, kept, continually] In Christ

The fruit comes from SUBMISSION to Yahweh and His will (rather than SELF seeking).
