Joyce Meyer Ministries’ tax filing could cost county

Fenton (KMOV) -- If the initial tax filing by the Joyce Meyer Ministries goes through, Jefferson County schools and other agencies would lose hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Last November, Meyer's Fenton based ministries agreed to pay $1 million in taxes. But in the March filing the ministries list less than $500,000 in personal property, a fraction of the $16 million they declared in 2005.

The ministries issued a statement saying, “Joyce Meyer Ministries” is in the final stages of submitting a second report… This is still an ongoing process."
