My name is Doug. I just phone this site today and am excited about becoming a memeber of this community. I am a former athesist- but 2 years ago ( 2 years ago this month in fact) I started to rebuild a relationship with God. It happened in the typical way. It just had to get to the point where I understood that my way wasn't working. In September of 2006 I accepted Christ. In November of last year got baptized- and just 3 weeks delivered my first sermon. It was only 7 minutes long, but if you would have told 3 years ago I would have wondered what drugs you are on.

Proffesionally speaking I am journalist in North Carolina. My television station has allows me to write a column on my walk. That is a big deal for a secular company- if interested you can read my essays at http://offthewahl.wordpress.com/

My passion is to help single fathers further their walk. I am one of them- and its a shame that there are so many of us out there, but I believe regardless of the failed relationship the father still has the responsbility to be the spirtual leader of his children's life.
