Great old testament movies by Turner Home Entertainment.

Moses stars Ben Kingsley (a few small details left out but otherwise pretty accurate).

Abraham stars Richard Harris and Barbara Hershey..Awesome movie.

Joseph stars Ben Kingsley, Paul Mercurio, Martin Landau, and Leslie Ann Warren. Joseph is a tear jerker and another good movie.

I agree...I've learned so much from these movies...It's hard to find any these days that are more up to date...

Just recently bought the movie Jacob and it was o.k....The others were much better in my opinion...

Does the movie Joseph have a part where, while Joseph is first put into prison, the baker tells the guard to beat Joseph, and all the guard does is barely tap him once? Or am I thinking of a different Joseph movie?

Yeah, Joseph had apparantly over the years gained favor in the prison and when he went to serve two men being held (they served pharoah directly) while they were in prsion....One man told one of the guards to beat Joseph but he barely did it because Joseph had favor with him...Then the guy took the whip from the guard and beat him with it pretty hard...

Yeah, that was it! I really enjoyed that movie! ^_^. I don't wanna sound weird, but I couldn't stop laughing through the movie. There was just a ton of little nuances like that, that just struck me as being absolutely hilarious. Do the others have the same sense of humor as well?

What was it that you thought was funny ? I didn't notice the whipping part until I watched it a few times...lol Abraham had a few humorous parts...I'd have to know what you thought was funny before I can give you an accurate comparison...

I can't really remember anymore. The whipping part stuck out in my mind though, more than the rest of the movie. That, and the part where everyone bowed to Pharoah except Joseph (and for some reason, reminding me of Rain Man, of all things).

I hate watching movies late at night. I can never remember what happened... all I remember is that SOMETHING happened.

I wonder if the local Blockbuster has it... ^_^

I can't recall seeing it at blockbuster....Maybe your local blockbuster may have it...I bought the movie at a Christian book store.
