A few years ago New Line Cinema released a movie and companion book called: The Nativity Story. While it was a high quality production, it suffered from some inexplicable shortcuts and changes to the story. For example, the wise men decide, apparently on their own, not to return to Herod. Flower, A Story of the Nativity was written partially to correct that and many other common errors people have about the Bible narrative. While Flower is historical fiction it is as accurate and true to the Bible as possible.
