I was reading Ezekiel about the temple priests and was wondering why they couldn't shave their heads? I know because God said so, but I'm sure he had a reason why. Anybody know why?

Most of this is a divine response to the socio-spiritual condition of the nations surrounding Yzra-El at the time.

Bodily augmentation has been used in idolitry and magic for centuries. An augmentation of the natural visage of man in many ways distorts man's natural 'Divinely endowed' appearance.

Here, Adonai is making division between the pagan rites and the Judaic rites. A Judaic was no 'Priest of the Sun', or 'Priest of Ba-al', etc.

This is why they were not to shave the corners of their beards either. The Judaic law was meant to manifest the Divine and the naturally Holistic in tangible ways and concrete symbols throughout Yzra-El.

Through this means, man's understanding might again make correct discernement between Re-leagion (Re-Unification with YHWH) and Idolitry; between Truth of Reality, and Falsehood of Unreality.

Hope this helps.
