I have talked about this issue on The Sons of Liberty radio on several occasions (here and here) regarding World War II veterans who actually knew what the Second Amendment was for and didn’t wait till they were overrun with Communists before using their right to keep and bear arms and bring about resolve in an election that was being stolen. Their deeds are forever remembered in the Battle of Athens, and if Americans want to ensure fair elections, they better learn a lesson from these men of the past.

Claire Bernish reminds us of that fateful day.

In the summer of 1946, war-weary GIs began to return from World War II battlefronts in Europe and Japan, ready to resume life in their sleepy Tennessee town. What they found, instead, infuriated them to the core. A power-hungry Democrat and his associates had since usurped local government and law enforcement, and had imposed a maniacal chokehold on the McMinn County town through extortive fines, excess laws, and arrests of anyone who opposed them.
