Animal-Human Hybrids Spark Controversy

“Scientists have begun blurring the line between human and animal by producing chimeras—a hybrid creature that's part human, part animal.”

SoftTouch, I read this story on the Jack Van Impe site, how discusting, why would man even think of such a thing as this! My heart breaks that we as human beings have sunk so low as to make a thing such as this...that is what I call it, a thing...I know that the return of Jesus is very close...it makes me sick at heart to think that we human beings are trying to be God...God forgive us for our sins...for they are many...It won't be long until God's wrath will come up before Him and and comes crashing to this world that we are living in...then and only then will man know that he is not GOD!!!!

I feel exactly as you do Israel [Frown]

The other issue in all of this is the potential for allowing diseases which were previously non-human to jump species barriers... Look out for the Plagues!

I know that certain governmental scientifc organizations go to great lengths to "play God" as Israel points out, but I did not know that these "Dr. Moreau" acts would become public like this. To whatever extent they are true and accurate, this concept is beyond disgusting. Humans and animals differ greatly in so much more than just the genetic sense. Different instincts and thought processes also separate us from the animal kingdom (the way GOD obviously intended). I really would like to write paragraph after paragraph to express my thoughts on this, but somehow I think that it would be the same for most of you. I think we all know how to feel regarding this atrocity. I am in awe that it really has gone this far.
What do you think?.. Isn't this kind of thing in the same category as something along the lines of beastiality?!? or other horrendous acts of immorality?

I say to those scientists, "Bring 'em on!"

I for sure want to see flying monkeys, three-eyed fish, and horses with gills. I think this stuff is just too cool to pass up!

I agree that this is an abomination.

I read they may even try to put human brains in mice. I can't even imagine the horror, if they really continue to do this kind of experimentation.

It could unlease plagues and diseases on both animals and people.

As in Genesis: all flesh was corrupt.
God created animals after their kinds and to mess around with this plan will open up the wrath of God.

There definitely needs to be established ethical limits to research.

Science has historicly gone as far as it could, many times farther then it should. In the eyes of the blind all animals and humans are related from those who crawled out of the primordial sludge, with no intrinsic difference between humanity and the maggot. IMHO there is not much difference at times, in scientific morality between the scientist and the maggot.

They shall sow the storm and reap the whirlwind, but our Father provides and cares for His children, adopted into the Him through Christ Jesus our Lord.
