Will forcing lost people to "behave" make any eternal differences in this country?

Will outlawing (and enforcing) all drug use, drinking, abortion, homosexuality, divorce, adultry, swearing, premarital sexnect...

Bring more people into God's kingdom?

Here is my perspective on this. If my non-Christian neighbor doesn’t kill me or my children will that give him a free ticket to heaven? No. But if I have my rathers, I would rather he didn’t kill us.

In other words forcing people to live morally will not save people but it sure will make live more pleasant. None of us want to live in a drug infested neighborhood.

You never gave a third option. There aren't only two options, but three. Righteousness always helps lead to Christ. And it also helps stay judgement.

So, the third option should have been...
3. Yes, these righteous acts will help bring people into God's kingdom. But ultimately they need to accept Yashua.

As an example... how will outlawing gay marriage either lead people to the Lord or make your life more plesant?? If anything, it just creates a large barrier that needs to be overcome. Homosexual people that I know are hurt by this passionate anti-gay movement. I will let God be judge of their acts, God doesn't Dr. Dobson's help... in my opinion.

And drugs? If the issue were only so simple. One reason there are drug dealers is because they are illegal. If they were legal there wouldn't be a dangerous underground black market for such things! I'm not saying we should legalize them, but just that the issues are not so simple as often times we'd like to believe they are.

I partly agree with danny. Making some things illegal only causes those and other crimes to be committed. But I certainly don't believe homosexual marriage should be legal, either. There are some bad things that need to be illegal, and some that must be legal to maintain society.

I don't know about the drug issue. Either way is bad; we've just got to decide which is LESS bad for our society.

The best solution is to get out there and WORK OUR TAILS OFF!!! getting people to accept Christ (though we do need to restrain ourselves for fear of pulling to hard).

As for Dr. Dobson, did God NEED Elijah's, Jeremiah's, Paul's, Elisha's, etc. help? No, He just wants to do it like that to make us stronger.

Maybe we should start with the 10 commandments.

One of those being honor thy Father and thy Mother. Doesnt sound like a homosexual couple to me.

If we would just adopt Gods laws instaed of making our own, we might have and live in a better society.
